if not now then when? isn't the present the only thing we have and will have for as long as we breath our last? so why do we keep putting things off for a future that always remains a stranger to us all. we keep thinking "oh i will tell them this the next time, i will go out with my friends the next time, i will eat that thing in the cafe the next time I'm here". but the next time is always too far from our reach, maybe we've brushed our fingers with it but haven't grabbed it with our entire palm wrapping around it. the thing which we do have in our hands right now is this day, this hour, this minute, it truly belongs to us and rather than letting it go in the hopes to catch it again we need to hold on to the moment that is now. for life is funny, it feeds us the dreams of a tomorrow with our now as the collateral.

the existentialist crisis at 22 where you're just there staring at the wall figuring out how you're 22 today when it was just yesterday when you celebrated your 17th birthday with friends who are residents of your past now and a version of yourself who was waiting to be 22 someday.

lot of grief stems from the memories which are blurred behind the years of ageing. we do not remember the moments as vividly the pain persists after that moment. time has the power to soften the hurt to cover up an wound but it always leaves a mark, a reminder that you were once hurt so bad that you carry the essence of it throughout your life.

"I love you" "it'll pass" hurts at the first watch so much you think you will never find it in your heart to understand the hot priest but when after completing the show you're sitting on your bed scrolling through your phone you realise that it is the best way to respond to fleabag. The certainty that the feeling eventually feels less is beautifully put out in two and a half words. The hurt in that moment wont persist forever and neither will this feeling.
