In which Jungkooks pollen allergies flare up during the filming of “Butter”

It was not a secret to the members of bangtan that amongst them all, Jungkook was the sneeziest one. They’ve always known ever since trainee days that his nose was particularly more sensitive than average and he proved it even more one time when they lit some candles in the dorm and Kook refused to stay in the same room as them for hours because they all reeked of the artificial candle scent

But they didn’t really know how bad his allergies actually were...until today

In all honesty, the golden maknae was scared to be filming this music video outdoors in the summer heat. He has the worst tolerance for pollen and he has always cursed his nose for that. He had some allergy meds before hand, and even took an extra one just in case.

“are you ready, guk?”

“i’m ready!” Jungkook enthusiastically shouted. He knew this enthusiasm wasn’t going to last long, though

For the first 20 minutes, he was doing fine. In fact he was doing incredible

It wasn’t until they started filming in a certain area of the set which had flowers all over it, that Jungkook started feeling the familiar tickle set in the back of his nose

“snff..ugh”

The sniffing wasn’t working out with him, so he started aggressively rubbing at his reddened nose. All he had to do was keep the fit at bay for a little longer. Easy to do, right?

Well not for someone like Jungkook

“Kook, is your rhinitis acting up again?” Hoseok said in his “not playing around” voice. At least that’s what all of his younger members called it.

“I think so..snff. I was fine before but now we’re near all of these flowe..eh..ers and..i—heh HCGtTCH—my nose is itchy..”

“Poor Gukkk” Tae cooed as he helped the youngest clean up. He pulled out a pack of tissues from his pocket and gave one to Jungkook. Taehyung also kept some tissues by his side because he too had allergies, although they were nowhere near as bad as Jungkooks

Namjoon took notice of the situation and decided it was time for Jungkook to leave before the situation escalated. He knew how bad Kooks allergies got and he’s seen him at his worst before, trust me; his worst is not a pretty sight

Namjoon spoke “Jungkook, I think you should head inside”

“We may as well stop filming hyung, we can’t film without Kook” Hoseok interrupted. Namjoon nodded and ran to tell the camera men to end early today. They all entered the building together “You guys didn’t have to stop for me, really..” Jungkook was beginning to feel guilty that they stopped filming this music video due to his allergies

“We care more about your health than this. Besides, It’s fine if we skip a day! we already got enough done” Seokjin reassured him as he used a makeup wipe to smear off the concealer on his face

“Thanks g..guy..heh..have to sne...”

“ohh do you want me to help you out bunny?” Yoongi asked. The members like taking care of Kook during allergy season, and a part of taking care of him was also helping him when he had to sneeze

Jungkook slightly nodded and Yoongi sat in front of him, slightly tilting Kooks head back. Jungkooks nose was sensitive, but for some reason he didn’t have much of a reaction with rolled up tissues. So instead, they use a perfume he was not fond of. Jimin had bought himself this perfume about two years ago, the first time he put it on was at a party they went to. The whole time Jungkook couldn’t stop sneezing, then they finally figured out his nose was irritated by the perfume. Ever since then, they’ve only used that perfume to cloax some sneezes out of their maknae. It was useful during times like this

He sprayed some of the perfume onto his finger and delicately rubbed soft teasing tickles under the youngers nose—the results were fast to say the least.

“hah..heh..HEpTChh HATCHEW ATCHEE ATCHEE ANGXNNT ICHH ISHHH ISHUSHUSHU” He finished off his fit with two sniffs and stuffed his face into a blanket, which was dustier than he thought. Which of course made his current condition even worse.

“ha...hagxtt, etchh, itchhee”. Thankfully these came out rather small and dry. Hoseok began rubbing circles on his back.

“That was pretty intense bun, you okay?”

Jungkook coughed and wheezed a few times

“Breathe Kookie..that was probably so draining. Lets rest, yeah?”

“mhm..” Jungkook barely made out

Jungkook had calmed down after his nap, and he was eternally grateful for the six boys around him who cared about him this much.

Airplane Allergies

Beomgyu & the rest of the boys are on a plane, Gyu is already exhausted enough but good news; he’s sitting next to a woman who owns a cat

“this is your seat, sir” The middle aged plane attendant pointed

“thank you maam” Beomgyu sat down in his seat, unfortunately he was seats away from the rest of the boys who were all smushed together in the same section. Other than the fact that he couldn’t talk to any of his members, things were going relatively smoothly. Until the lady who was assigned the seat beside him showed up.

It wasn’t actually the lady herself, he was sure she was a sweet woman. It was the furry felines very visible fur on the lady’s coat that was the problem. Gyu had a lot of allergies growing up and he still does. He couldn’t own pets, he had to have the house dusted every single day, nor could he ever wear any type of scent. It was frustrating at times because random things would set him off a lot in public and he would constantly run himself into having allergy attacks by accident. In fact, fur is one of his more severe sensitivities...basically his nose is sensitive to a lot of things and cats & dogs are no exception. Yes, it’s ironic for someone who is in a kpop group well known for one of their songs “cat & dog”. The members tease him about that way more than they probably should.

Gyu greeted the older woman but didn’t say anything about the animal. Why would he? what could she do about it anyways, and he was afraid he would come off as rude so he decided to keep it to himself. A few minutes before the plane took off, he could feel it. His eyes were swelled up and teary, his nose was running, and most of all, he needed to sneeze really badly. He tried to keep the first one held in because anyone who knows Beomgyu knows that whenever he sneezed once, he was gonna have a massive fit and it wouldn’t stop until his nose said so. Which can either take up to a few minutes or hours depending on how severely irritated his nose is

Beomgyu was busy trying to keep the attack at bay for just a little while longer; which was working for a good 10 minutes, sniffing and nose blowing basically saved him. After those 10 minutes were up, is when he couldn’t take it anymore.

“he..heptchh, hegnxt—scuse me”

He was thankfully able to stifle the first one, and it gave him relief for some time. Until not long after he had to sneeze again, so he let out a quick double into his elbow

“heytchoo, he..heptchh!” he looked at the lady once more, apologized, and looked back down. Out of every seat she could’ve sat on, she just had to be beside the guy with about a billion allergies...about half an hour passed, and Gyu was sneezing and rubbing at his nose every few minutes or so. At one point the lady next to him asked him if he was alright. He simply nodded and excused himself to the restroom where he immediately started letting out the string of sneezes he had been holding in for so long. “HEltChew, H..HETCHEW, HEPTCHH, HNGXT..ugh” wiping his now reddened nose with a tissue. He could tell it was gonna be a while until this fit ended.

Later that night, everyone on the plane fell asleep and Gyu was the only one awake due to his itching nose. Every time he had to sneeze, he would pinch his nose closed and rub aggressively in circles to quell the itch. Sometimes it worked, others however, not so much. “HXGT, HGXXT”. His sneezes must’ve been a tad bit too loud this time, because right after he sneezed, the lady who was next to him shifted and stirred different directions—and her coat rubbed against Beomgyu’s nose.

“ha...he—HEPTCHH, HATCHEW, HPTCH, ATCHHEE..HA..HAGNXT” The sneezing fit was just loud enough to wake up all of the people near him. His face was bright red, he turned his head back down “Sorry..” before stuffing his nose in tissues once again. Everyone on this plane was probably sick of his sneezes and Gyu could feel it. He decided to take another trip to the restroom, which would officially be his 6th time there.

As he went inside, he spotted the tissue paper roll and ripped a piece of tissue paper off, and twisted it until the top end was sharp and pointy. Taking a deep breath, he then inserted the tip of the tissue into his nose and gently started moving it around. Some hitching went on for around a minute until he hit a particularly sensitive spot and let all of the built up pressure out; “HATCHEW HBXGTT HTCHH, ACHEE, AGNXGT...Ah..HA—APTCHH, HTCHEW” a short sniffle left his nose and he looked at the tissue to find a not so pleasant view of snot..grabbing a new piece of paper, he gently hovered it over his sensitized nose and softly blew. “Gyu...is that you?” a sleepy Yeonjun mumbled across the door. Although they were sitting in different sections, Beomgyu had even managed to wake up his other members with his fit. The younger slowly opened the door and stuffed his face in Yeonjuns collarbone.

“I hate cat allergies...”

Jiminies Sick Day

Jimin fell sick & Hoseok feeds him some soup, but Jimin is too sneezy to eat it

“HfPtCH!!” Jimin let out another sneeze into his now very wet crumpled up tissue. Hoseok interrupted “That was 6!” Him and Taehyung were counting the amount of times Jimin sneezed, not that they had anything better to do. “I got 8 though!” Taehyung shouted from across the room

That’s enough you guys!” Namjoon started scolding them for teasing Jimin, as their leader went on about how they shouldn’t be so “insensitive” to Jimin, the sick member was busy with his own problem—his shitty sinuses—and sneezed a rapid quadruple into his hands. “HelTChew HeTCHee, HaPcHgnx ETCHEWW...ugh” Yoongi looked up at Jimin as he’s never seen him sneeze more than twice. “and I thought Kook was the sneezy one...those didn’t sound very good Jimin” Yoongi spoke, who was now very worried for the younger. “Ib fide hyung—“ he said before blowing his nose, then scrubbing it to relive the itch that’s been bothering him all day. “Just a little sn..s-HEpCHEEW—sneezy today...I don’t know why” He put his tissue down and nuzzled his pinkish nose into Hoseoks shoulder. “Oh Jiminie...are you feeling sick? your temperature feels warmer than usual” Hobi said with his hand placed on Jimins forehead. “Sorta..I don’t know what’s gotten into me today...It wasn’t that bad in the morning but now my nose wont stop itchin..neh..eh—HNGXTT—Sorry..”

Jimin held the tissue up to his twitching nose once again and rubbed aggressively. “Don’t do that hyung” Taehyung held Jimin back from scrubbing his nose with the tissue “you’ll make it worse”. Jimin could kind of understand how he had made himself sick. Practicing a choreo for hours, almost every day of the week can really take a toll on someone. Plus, he’s been stressing out lately over some lyric he’s been working on. In fact Jimin was surprised that he didn’t have it worse. But Jimin had always been a pretty sneezy person, he grew up with an easily disturbed nose and crappy sinuses. He even checked the pollen count several times just in case, it wasn’t that high to the point where his allergies should be acting up. He checked again one more time, and to no surprise it was the same result. “We don’t have anything planned for today! so we can stay here and take care of Jimin!” Hoseok enthusiastically announced. When members got sick, Hobi was usually the one who would care for them the most. Not that the other members didn’t care for them, but Hobi was a bit more expressive about it. Nevertheless they were all glad that they could stay in the house and take care of their Jimin

Now, Jin decided it was a good time to make something hot for Jimin to eat; “I’ll make you some soup, would you like that Jiminie?” Jimin nodded his head as Jin headed straight into the kitchen and starting heating up a can of chicken noodle soup. It was convenient to have a lot of soup in the house in case one of the members got sick, after all it was pretty common when 7 people were living in one place. Jin was finished prepping his younger member food and brought it straight to the table Jimin was sitting at

“It’s still really hot so let it cool off first!”

Then, the familiar sounds of Jimin having another sneezing fit; “ok tha..thanks—HEpTCHEW, HATCHEW, ETCHH, ETCHEW—thanks” followed by a short sniff.

All of the members watched Jimin struggle to lift the spoon with his weakened arm; And Hoseok wasn’t going to let Jimin feed himself in these conditions. “I can feed you!” Holding the bowl in his lap, Hobi carefully scooped up some of the soup and brought it up to Jimins mouth

“here comes the airplane! open wide”

Jimin mumbled under his breath

“i’m not a kid hyungieee”

Hoseok just chuckled a bit and once again lifted the spoon to his hyungs mouth. This time before he got to feed him, Jimins nose twitched. He pinched his nose closed and braced himself for another sneeze—or a couple of them. “heh...eh..HNGHNXT HEYTCHOO HNXGT” Jimin looked back up, clearly embarrassed as his face was glowing red. “don’t be embarrassed Chim!” Hobi ripped a sheet of tissue paper out of its box and held it up to Jimins nose. “Blow”. Jimin obeyed, however the tissue paper resulted in making his already sensitive nose even more irritated than it was. Jungkook saw that Jimin struggling and helped him out a bit

“Heh...ha...h-...ugh”

“aww lemme help you out, boop” As soon as he booped Jimins nose, he immediately saw results. Jimin tried to stiffle his sneezes, but they were too powerful to control

“h...ha..HePTcHEW, HNGXT, HEPTCHH, GNXTT ACHTCHEW, H..heh—HETCHEE HACHTCHW...’scuse me” Jimin looked back up, his face even redder than before

“That was intense, you okay?”

“Yes ib fide”. Hoseok quickly finished feeding Jimin his soup, with a couple sneezes here & there but thankfully none of them were full blown fits

“Thanks hyung”

“No problem Chim!” Hoseok said and ruffled the youngers messy hair. Taking care of a sick Jiminie was stressful, but his face is so cute that you could never be mad!

yoongi has a migraine at the airport and the crowding fans/flashing lights make him nauseous

warnings: migraine, nausea, emeto

Yoongi doesn’t know how to react when he sees the crowded area at the airport just a few distances away from him, he can hear the sea of fans screaming his name. He has a throbbing headache and certainly all of the flashing lights, the noise, and the fans invading his personal space were not helping. “Will you cover me?” Yoongi asked his older member Seokjin. “Of course I can”. Seokjin knew of Yoongi’s migraines. He’s been having them ever since he was a trainee, and they can get pretty intense when he’s overwhelmed or around many people at once. It was no surprise that he was anxious to walk past this ocean of people. “Just stay close to us, hyung” Jimin reassured him. As Yoongi walked through the crowd, he felt the migraine get worse, which is what he expected. Not only that, but he began to feel nauseous. He got sweaty, and his stomach was beginning to feel like a volcano about to erupt at any given time. When a fan clung onto his arm, that was his breaking point. He stumbled back and Seokjin caught his arm just in time “woah, are you doing okay?” Seokjin asked, now extremely worried for him. “‘m dizzy..” Seokjin handed him a bottle of water and rubbed circles over his back. “Lets just please hurry up and get out of here” Yoongi said, this time with tears in his eyes and trembling breath. Jin nodded and put his arm around his shoulders while leading him to the exit of the building and into the car. “Oh Yoon...” Jin cooed as he rubbed his belly “N-No pressure please...I just need to breathe for a bit..” He said as he held his stomach with both hands. Taehyung opened a window for fresh air because somebody clearly needed it right now. “Okay, let me know if you feel worse” Jin added. Yoongi nodded and squirmed a bit in his car seat as he rubbed his rumbling belly. Not long into the car ride, Yoongi felt the familiar quease lingering in his stomach once again. “quick get a bag...i’m gonna be sick” Jungkook immediately shifted through the back to find a black plastic bag full of junk. He quickly emptied it out and handed it to his hyung. “take it easy, Yoon. Do you want me to slow down the car?” Seokjin asked. Before Yoongi had time to respond, his head fell downwards and all of todays meals came right back up in not one but two huge waves, splashing into the plastic bag. “That didn’t sound very good...” Namjoon said, worried for his member. “I’m fine Joon...I feel a bit—“ He was cut off as he felt more liquid came back up, this time in waves of 3. “Feel better?” Jungkook said sympathetically as he rubbed his hand up and down his hyungs back. “Yes..thank you guys” Yoongi spoke softly as he was a bit shy when it came to stuff like this. “of course Yoon, let us help you whenever you feel this way”.

AHH THIS IS MY FIRST FIC EVER AHHDJSSN and hopefully I can get even better...I also hope this isn’t too short😭I did mention that I preferred snz over emote/nausea and thats just bc i barely ever had experience writing emote/nausea, so i wanted to test myself with this LMFAO and the title is weird i could not come up with anything
