Ok lets try this. Historical figures. For the record, don't take any of this as fact. Napoleon. Similarities : 1)Both Come from a Island. Ruby from Patch and Napoleon from Corsica. 2)Both like flashy outfits, I mean, have you seen armies during Napoleons period? Drip was the most important stat, clearly. 3)Both got High positions fairly early in live. Napoleon became a brigadier General at 24, not that uncommon in wartime, but still. And Ruby got into Beacon 2 years early. 4)Both love Guns. For Ruby, just check the first volume to see this. Girl likes her Canons, and swords, and scythes, and basically everything that can cause damage. Napoleon? Boy did he love canons, hell, his raise to fame was vastly helped by canons, when he used them to disperse a riot that was threatening the revolutionary government in Paris. 5)Both were helped by their Charisma. For both individuals, if people around them did not like them, they would not have joined them on their quests for so long. 6)Both gathered some impressive people of their time in their retinue. Ruby got a Scheene, which was like getting Jeff Bezos daughter on your time, The daughter of the chiefs of Managere, A super weapon with a soul in Penny. And while the rest dont necessarily have impressive families or circumstances(its unclear about Jaune since like quite a few things, Rwby did not expand on it), they all have shown to go above and beyond what could be expected of them. For Napoleon I wont go long, but many of his marshals, were incredible military leaders in his time and quite a few became kings. Sure most of them got their kingdoms, like his brothers, because Napoleon gave those to them. But for example Jean- Baptiste Bernadotte was offered, at took, the throne of Sweden, by the Swedes themselves. And his family are still royalty there I believe. There are plenty of other stuff, like meters being introduces, translations of ancient Egyptian texts and the process of canned food are also things that happened because of Napoleon. Their Name signifies their importance. Ruby shares her name, kinda, with her Team and the literal name of the show. Sure its the Team name, but she is the team leader and its the pronunciation is her name. Same for Napoleon, since the entire period is knows as the Napoleonic Era/Wars/Period and Etc. But what ever the other word is, the first one is always Napoleon. So yeah, quite a few similarities. Oh also,7) they were both not very tall. So yeah. 1-1 honestly, but we can check the differences. 1)Napoleon was a dick, selfish and very egocentric. Look it up, plenty of examples of that. Ruby on the other hand, until she was pushed at the very end, was very compassionate to others and willing to put her life on the line. Her trying to help Jaune when he was in a slum, going to search for Blake, agreeing to stay behind and lure the grimm so that the civilians and Team JN_R could escape. Not to mention, just being a Huntress, being clearly a dangerous job itself. Napoleon after all was not a infantry guy, but a canon commander. In vol 9 Jaune telling Ruby, that it was always about her, was a insult and wrong, which is why he was sorry about it. If one would tell Napoleon the same, he would take in as a compliment.

2)Their personalities, I would say, the simplest way to say it is. Ruby wanted to be the best she could be. Napoleon wanted to be better then everybody else and for everyone to know it. 3)Their carries kinda started as opposites. Yes I did say they both started early, but after their start, the first significant incident that followed and the others that followed that, went completely differently. What I mean, for Ruby it was the Fall, them Minstral and then Atlas. Yes there were events between and before those, but the world impacting events were these in my opinion. The fall was everything going wrong. Pyrrhas n Penny are dead, Beacon is gone, maiden powers are stolen and the Teams are scattered. Minstral was kinda of a win, they did stop the Traitor headmaster, but the academy was already damaged by his actions and wont recover fast, and Atlas? Well two cities are destroyed and the survives teleport to a dessert location which happens to be their only hope and the locations are not happy that the limited space they have is now Home to a bunch of strangers. But we can hope, all of this is just a dramatic build up for a triumph at the end. So lets have hope! Napoleon on the other hand, once he got control of a army, the Italian army, not actually Italian, it was just called that because it was in the Italian front. A army which was demoralized, broke( the soldiers were not getting their salaries) and lacking in most supplies, like food. He manage to do, what some people consider, his greatest campaign. Because he did not Win the peninsula campaign, he played on Hard, in Iron man Mode, and absolutely crushed it. Completely beat the opposition forces and secured French borders and even expended them in this region. Also looted a shit tone of gold, and some food. Also got to tell the pope off, Im sure some middle ages kings were jealous of that. And the guy kept on winning, got himself a position in the council of three, I dont recall what it was called, only that there were three of them, later became emperor. And everything Europe threw at him, he beat back. Coalitions, solo trys, everything they could, he beat. The great powers of Europe: Russia, Prussia, Austria, the Italian states, he beat them all. Both united and separately. Not naming Great Britain, because he did not beat them. Cant win them all, but he clearly fought differently and eventually he did lose and the lose again and again and again until his empire was no more and he was banished to a island and then a smaller island, where he would die. Away from France, from Corsica, from his former Marshals. One of the Greatest Military leaders, did not die in a glorious battle, did not find his end after a long and prosperous rule as emperor(France at the end could not hold up his ambition, nor the massive taxes, that did not make him popular at the end), nope he died far from all of it, as a simple man. I would say its tragic, but he was kinda a dick so eh, plus it really was his own fault, started way to many wars and Spain was just a mistake.

So lets hope RWBY and Ruby has a different ending and happy ending, where the heroes get their win, they get to fix their world and get to live their lives in a happy Future.

Terrified that by the time they get here there won’t be enough left of the boy named Jaune Arc in you to remember why the Rusted Knight is waiting for them

Jaune: Ruby, have you seen my hoodie anywhere?

Ruby: I've been hearing rumors about a hoodie bandit going around Beacon, but I didn't think they were real.

Jaune: There's a hoodie bandit!? Do you think they have my hoodie?

Jaune: Oh no! I need to go check my dorm again! *Runs off*

Ruby: *Maniacal Adorable laughter as she puts on an old timey robber/domino mask and pulls Jaune's hoodie out of it's hiding spot*

Opinion on Jaune potentially not getting a pairing through the rest of RWBY?

I don’t care if he doesn’t pair with someone IN CANON (even though I think he will) I just want him to be with someone eventually. Either romantically or platonically. He has so much love to give, and he also doesn’t really function without people to care for

R.E.B: Somewhere else? I'm uncertain unfortunately, but I do know that you aren't sacrificing anyone or anything by being here - at least within my control.

Jaune: ... Are you a God?

R.E.B: ... Relative to you? I- I cannot give you a certainty on anything, both out of protection for yourself and myself, but also because I don't control ... everything. But I can give you this moment before something else, someone else takes you back. But I want to give you soft things, and soft places, to rest, and recover - sometimes I will test you, sometimes you will suffer, but I guarantee you, I will always reward your endurance and continuance. Life cannot happen without strife, but I will ensure you get what you deserve for your suffering.

Jaune: ... Thank you?

Cinder: Would have killed mine sooner if I could. Has anyone else here killed their parents?

Neo: *Conjures some subtitles.* I mean, technically? I definitely didn't help keep them alive.

Adam: *Shrugs* Mine are probably still alive somewhere.

Jaune: *Sitting there awkwardly, feeling the sudden urge to call his parents and tell him he loves them.*

Charlotte Arc: *Stops in the middle of her baking.*

Lucien Arc: *Looks up from his paper work.* Something wrong, honey?

Charlotte: I don't know... I suddenly have the strange urge to adopt seven more children.

Lucien: *Let's out a groan.* But we JUST managed to get two of them to move out of the house! *His scroll starts ringing and answers it.* Oh hey, speak of the Devil. Hey Jaune.
