"Guy"

A soft shove to his shoulder rouses Guy from what was a fairly peaceful sleep. A quiet groan of protest escaping his lips.

Honey biting on their lip to suppress a smile. Watching as he rolls onto his stomach, appreciating the view; as he would put it.

"Come on, you menace, you gotta get up"

"Mmmph...I don't wanna...it's Friday wnd neither of us have work today"

A heaving sigh escaping them as they try not to give in to the sleepy puppy eyes he's giving them. A familiar routine he seems to be playing up at the moment.

"I know it's Friday, baby." They murmur as they sit down beside the pillow he's wrapped around, hand resting on his thigh. "But you promised me a movie marathon today. If I'm remembering correctly, that is"

The smirk that was playing at their lips growing a little when they see the way his pupils dilate a little at the close contact.

A slow dramatic gasp starting his sentence as he opens his mouth. "Well I never! Honey how could you do this to me? You dare use, the Lord of the rings triple feature directors cut special extended addition movie marathon, against ME??" His own giggling breaking up the monolog at the end.

"Yes I do"

Is the only response Guy gets before they stand up and walk out of the room. He slowly gets up himself, checking the time with a small smile when he sees its almost 10:30 already. Wandering out to the kitchen to get caffeine of some kind, he's met with the scent of breakfast food, and cinnamon rolls.

"Ohhhh Honey, you spoil me. Sleeping in, a hot meal, my favorite movies." He makes his way over to them, draping himself over their back. "Thank you Honey...you didn't have to do all this"

Honey relaxed under his touch, a fond expression on their face as they pat his hand thats found home on their hip three times.

"I know I didn't, but you've had a hard week, on top of overtime, pretty much every day... you deserve a day to relax"

His lips curling into a smile against their neck and his finger tapping their hip three times in return.

Early Guy, in a rare moment of vulnerability, laying in bed, wondering how he managed to bag a life with Honey. Wondering if their stoic nature is a response to his exhausting personality. He can’t help the tears that slide down his face as he messily tries to wipe them away.

Early Honey who finds him in bed, clearly distressed about something. Them not entirely sure how to help him emotionally, but wanting to try regardless. Their hands replace his and seem more effective at wiping away his tears. Slowly, eventually, they get him to open up.

“I don’t know how you deal with me.”

“What do you mean?”

“I’m too loud, obnoxious, boisterous, annoying.”

“What? No you’re not, Guy.”

“You don’t have to spare my feelings, Honey, I know what I am.”

“I know that you’re fun. Passionate, enthusiastic, and yeah, maybe a little loud, but that’s what I find endearing about you.”

“I just don’t get it. You’re you, brilliant, amazing you and I’m just me. Just a big sad pile of noise. I’m too much for a lot of people to handle.”

“Guy, look at me. You’re not too much. Far from it. If you’re too much, why is it that I can’t seem to get enough of you?”

Honey gets clingy when they’re sick. That’s usually how Guy notices.

This particular morning he woke up to find them holding onto him, face buried in the crook of his neck. As much as he loved these rare moments, he knew what it meant. He reached up and gently stroked their hair, before shifting slightly so he could press his hand to their forehead. They were burning hot. Way hotter than normal.

He tried to get up to get them some water and a cool towel, moving slowly in the hopes that they wouldn’t wake up. Unfortunately, Honey immediately noticed and blinked their eyes open. Guy’s heart squeezed when he saw how glassy they were - it was so cute. He took a moment to memorise this side of them, and then pressed a kiss to their forehead.

“You’re burning up, Honey.” He stroked their cheek with the back of his hand. “I’ll get you some water. How are you feeling?”

Honey responded by pulling him back down, arms wrapping around his body to keep him in bed. Despite being sick, they had quite a strong grip on him. They shook their head against his chest and let out a little groan.

Guy returned the hug, internally screaming at how cute they were. He couldn’t hide the grin on his face, but luckily Honey was too out of it to notice. After five minutes he tried to get them to let go, but to no avail.

“Honey, I need to get you some water.” He chuckled. He’d usually insert a dozen jokes here, but he kept his voice low and words minimal to avoid making their headache worse. He’s very understanding, and this tender, soft side of him is one he never shows around anyone else.

Honey reluctantly let go, and they retreated into the covers. Guy chuckled, and kissed the bundle of fabric, whispering “I’ll be back in a jiffy.” before making a beeline for the kitchen.

Here I was thinking “huh, that’s a weirdly specific thing to mention… anyway” when it’s specifically referencing one of the earliest recurring events of his entire playlist!

Guy and Honey are gonna have one of those things where they’re both laying in bed together, Guy’s head is on Honey’s chest and their hands are around his back; both of their legs tangled together. They’re softly breathing, feeling each others’ heartbeats. And then

“Do you want to get married?” Guy whispers gently, gentler than anything he’s ever said.

And then Honey takes a few second to just realise what he’s said. Their first thought will be ‘what the fuck did you just say’ but in an absolutely shocked and endearing sort of way. What they do say is:

“What?” Just a bit louder than a whisper.

“You know, someday maybe - you and me, wedding bells and everything.” And then the whispered turn into affectionate mumbling as he moves to rest on their shoulder. He’s half asleep. “I’ll wear a dress, you can have a suit - or you know, maybe we can both wear a dress. Make a statement.” He runs curious fingers across their collarbone, a trail he’s traced before, “I’d look pretty good in a wedding dress, don’t you think?”

And, fuck. Honey is in love with this idiot.

“Go to sleep Guy.”

He laughs for a moment.

“Honey.” And Guy would get fussy and try climb all over them. Honey has to grab his gently to clam him down.

“Yes, you’d look good-” and god they’ll go to sleep thinking about it, “-in a dress. Now would you sit still and rest?” And it’s that affectionate in their voice, a barely there teasing.

And Guy smiles, and he loves them. And Honey loves him. And they lie together for a moment, Honey thinks they’ll finally have a moment of peace, and then-

“Would you marry me Honey?”

“Of course.” And Honey kisses his forehead and runs their hands through his hair to soothe him, “Of course.”

When Guy and Honey are walking Honey will be walking slightly in front and they’ll wiggle their fingers behind them. Guy will always notice and immediately hold their hand with a grin.

Honey tries to act nonchalant but they’re smiling too :)
