Okay. I don't usually come out and make posts about stuff like this, but I've been seeing it a lot and some of the shit I've seen people post is really pissing me off.

So here's a not-so-gentle reminder that this is about Shubble. This is not about Wilbur, and this is not about you. I am already sick of seeing people lamenting about how sad they are that Wilbur turned out to be a horrible person, or how they have all this Lovejoy merch that they have to get rid of, or debating whether or not it's still okay to support the other members of Lovejoy, and whatever the fuck else. Fucking hell, people, that is not the important part of this!

This is about Shelby. This is about her story, and what she went through. I want to see more posts of people supporting her. I want to see more people watching her content to give her a boost in views. I want everyone to drop Wilbur just like that and not talk about it. Don't give him the fucking time of day.

Because once again, a woman, a victim, has done something really brave and come out and spoke about her trauma, and once again, you all have found a way to make it about the man, about the abuser.

Anyways, if you aren't already subscribed to Shubble, I would totally recommend doing so. She's genuinely a really sweet person and her content is incredibly entertaining.

I love the whump community. So much. But there is just this thing I saw a few times the past weeks that makes me sad (which is a Tumblr thing in general, but yeah)

Just always the 'I hate that people write so much about X, Y needs more!'

It's still just fandom. People write what they like, in their free time. Why is it so hard to say

'I'd love to see more of Y!'

Without attacking anyone?

It's never even been directed at anything I write, and I often agree, with that I too, would like to see more of Y. But does it always have to be asked (demanded, really) with bringing down what people write for free and for fun?

I'd love to reblog and find more content for Y. But I refuse to have those insulting or demanding posts here. It's so tiring.

Anyway, it's just something I see a lot on Tumblr, in every fandom. But now I saw it in the whump community and I know I shouldn't be suprised, but-

Can we talk about the Blue vs Red dynamic in TV, literature and like basically anything for a second?

Blue vs Red. It's a color play on the classic White vs Black /Good vs Evil dynamic. And what I've noticed is that it's often most pictured in siblings. Where the good one is usually a light shade of blue and the evil one is pictured in a bright red, almost orange. (Which not to mention is the opposite of blue on the color wheel)

Another example of opposing color dynamic could be Green vs Red (Slytherin vs Gryffindor)

But anyway, back to Rise and Fall. On Rise, we can see the dominant color on the cover is a dark blue. And in Fall, it's red. Not just the colors of the covers.. the colors of the LETTERING on the covers. How Rise of the School for Good and Evil is literally written in Gold. And how Fall of the School for Good and Evil is written in Silver. Opposites. Yk, it could even be referencing the first and second competition/rivalry between the twins and their respective sides. AND how gold is predominantly warmer vs the coldness of silver.

I appreciate the sentiment but I really feel icky seeing the whimsical reaction to the April Fools thing as if this site's CEO didn't spend weeks personally harassing trans women like a month ago.

Remember ages ago when people finally got fed up with the funny, whimsical Denny's blog and actually fought back against the marketing and capitalist propaganda to the point that the company basically lost every bit of goodwill it had here and fucked off? Where's that energy?

The CEO of this site admitted that moderators were selling their services to TERFs and bigots, doxxed a trans woman and followed her off site, purged tons of blogs that criticized him, and I'm supposed to allow myself to be distracted by the reanimated corpse of the Facebook "poke" so that tumblr can earn some goodwill back? Fuck no.
