Who says Halloween is over? 👾👻🎃
I wrote a poem and article about how loving and caring my grandma is. The article talks about our relationship and bond, but it also talks about my fears and insecurities.

I'm rewatching Hunter x Hunter with my brother and am enjoying it just as much as I ever have. I think I have a newfound appreciation for Kurapika this time around.

This old poem, written before my current relationship, references a conversation with a friend. We talked about how when you're single, you can fully sprawl out on your bed, which you can't do when you fall asleep with another person. Sometimes, things like that are awesome, but when you're in a healthy relationship, like the one I'm in now, they certainly lose their appeal. This poem, called "Please Stop Never Stop," is about missing the good aspects of a toxic relationship.

Apollyon, Angel of the Void
The Tao that can be described
is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be spoken
is not the eternal Name.
The nameless is the boundary of Heaven and Earth.
The named is the mother of creation.
Freed from desire, you can see the hidden mystery.
By having desire, you can only see what is visibly real.
Yet mystery and reality
emerge from the same source.
The source is called darkness.
Darkness born from darkness.
The beginning of all understanding.
-Lao-Tzu

I met Ke Huy Quan (Jonathan Quan) at Rhode Island Comic Con quite a few years ago. At the time, he actually told me that he had a new project in the works but that he couldn’t say what it was. Of course, I had no idea that he was probably referring to Everything Everywhere All at Once!
Upon meeting Jonathan, I learned how friendly and humble a man he is! Each Academy Award nominee worked so hard, and they all deserve to be recognized!

This poem critiques (among other things) those who, despite advocating for change, view the world and its people in “black and white."
I think it's better with some context so there's a related article on my Facebook page if you'd like to connect.

Catching Feelings concerns my own insecurities. It captures the ways I felt upon having discovered that my exes were posting or selling pornography online. In particular, this poem draws mostly from experiences I had during a relationship that was extremely toxic.
I am not a particularly jealous person by any means, and I would never judge or berate anyone for their personal choices, but for many, there is a psychological element involved when those that we once called “our own” give themselves to others (even if not in a directly physical way).
I believe that romantic jealousy stems from the real or perceived threat that we will no longer live up to the sexual or emotional needs of our partners (or previous partners). Seeing or even just picturing someone you cared for, being intimate with another, can certainly bring about unwanted feelings or memories.
For just about my entire adult life, I've done my best to put my ego aside. We can't change others and we can't go back in time. However, we can always work toward removing our attachment to the pain.

I’ve been watching so many horror movies lately. I’m so glad that I took the time to watch Ringu, Ringu 2 and Ringu 0. I’m currently in the middle of reading The Ravaged by Norman Reedus, but I’d love to read Koji Suzuki’s novels too someday.
