That show makes me sick with hatred. They write the villains too well and now I resent them so much they the show is hard to watch. 😭😭😭

I absolutely love when Ravi & Liv pretend to be married. They’re so confident with their friendship that it comes so naturally and isn’t awkward for them. I adore them.

Every time I watch Heartstopper, it makes me so thankful that it exists. Alice Oseman created something so special that means a lot to so many queer people.

Are there gay characters in other shows? Sure. But Heartstopper is so much more than that. It truly does feel like a celebration of queerness.

This season was so beautiful. We got a lot more couples and a lot more representation while also exploring deeper into relationships that existed from last season. The fact that they were able to do that in 8 episodes is amazing.

Thank you, Joe and Kit. Thank you, Yasmin and William. Thank you, Kizzy and Corinna. Thank you, Tobie. Thank you, Rhea. Thank you to the rest of this beautiful cast. But most importantly, thank you, Alice Oseman!

I’m being so sappy. 🤣

Anyway, I hope we get a 3rd season!

Heartstopper S2 Spoilers!!!

“You probably just haven’t found the right person?” and his friends being all giddy about him possibly kissing & dating James. Ugh. I obviously know they don’t mean any harm. I feel so bad for him, though.

I feel like my “asexual realization” was incredibly lucky. I didn’t go through any profound discovery. Just slapped the label on myself & it felt right. A lot of asexuals go through this deep sense of “I’m not normal” that I never had to deal with. Asexuality is valid! Aromanticism is valid!

Heartstopper S2 Spoilers!!!

I’m about halfway through season 2 of Heartstopper and, man, this is hard to watch. The experiences that Nick & Isaac are going through are struggles I also deal with every day.

Seeing all the pressure Nick feels to come out to his family & friends. Like he somehow *has* to do it and within a certain timeframe. I feel the same way every day I don’t come out to my family. I keep saying I will to my friends and never end up doing it. Then I feel bad for not doing it. Coming out can be so hard. I’ve thought about doing it so many times, but getting the words out feels impossible. Heartstopper does a REALLY good job of showing that struggle that a lot of queer people deal with.

Another thing I like a lot, especially given I’m aroace, is how Isaac’s aromantic/asexuality is represented. How he’s surrounded by couples all the time and feels a bit left out, even if he does feel secure in his sexuality. I’m proud to be asexual, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel alone & left out whenever I see people in happy relationships. I know they’ll dive deeper into it as the season processes and I’m excited about that. Aromantic/Asexual people deserve representation and I’m literally so happy we’re getting some with Isaac’s character.

School Spirits, Season 1

[3/20/23, 4 Episodes In]

I randomly saw a TikTok this morning about this show and decided to give it a watch. Within the first minute of the show, I was like, “This girl has to be related to Peyton List. She looks so much like her.” I proceeded to look up the cast only to find out it *is* Peyton List. She looks so different since I saw her in Jessie.

Anyway, I binged all 4 current episodes and this show is so good. Claire seems to have her fingers dipped in all the pies. She had Xavier and now has some sort of connection to Mr. Anderson? Also, I genuinely expected Mr. Anderson’s secret to be a lot darker than stealing fundraiser money and using old uniforms instead of buying new ones. I mean, it’s pretty clear there is a bit more to the story, especially considering Claire fits into it somehow. I just wasn’t expecting it to be *that* of all things.

I’m also interested to find out how Maddie’s phone was switched out after Xavier took it. It had to have been Claire since she’s the only person who was close to Xavier, but why? What was on Maddie’s phone that she (and possibly Mr. Anderson) needed destroyed?

There is also the matter of why Maddie can’t remember her death when every other ghost can. Clearly her death must’ve been very traumatic to have been completely wiped from her memory. And she also doesn’t remember ever being given money by Mr. Anderson.

There are so many questions this show leaves you with every episode and I absolutely love it. Can’t wait to watch more.

(Also, side question: Why is Wally one of the 3 characters on the official poster? Simon & Maddie are obvious ones. Wally? As of episode 4, he’s really not that big of a character. Hell, he’s not even close to the most important of the ghosts. Charley & Rhonda are more important than him. At least in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I like Wally. I just think it’s an odd choice to choose him to be the only other ghost on the poster. Does he become a more prominent character later in the season? He must…)

[3/23/23, 5 Episodes In]

Slower of an episode. Aside from Xavier, Nicole, and Simon being sent that video, not much happened.

I liked the sweet moments between Maddie & Wally.

I’m still really conflicted on whether or not I believe Claire was the one who killed Maddie. Her motive isn’t totally unbelievable, but I don’t know. I think, like Mr. Anderson, her only reason of acting suspicious is because she’s afraid people will found out about her cheating to get straight A’s.

I am interested to find out more about who could’ve sent that video…and where the hell is Maddie’s body? Like, it wasn’t in the school, obviously. Not in the house they found the backpack. Not in the woods (at least nowhere they’ve looked).

This show really has me by the throat. I love it.

[7/31/23, 8 Episodes In]

I’m realizing I never updated this. Mainly because I stopped using Tumblr for a while.

The finale was WILD and I really wasn’t expecting it to be a possession instead of her being murdered & unable to be revived.

This means Maddie has the chance to come back to life, which is exciting.

I’m so glad they renewed this show for a 2nd season. Though, given the WGA/SAG strikes, we probably won’t get it for a WHILE.
