Biography: Harry James Potter, whom most wizards and witches know him as, The-Boy-Who-Lived, was born July 31st, 1980. He is a half-blood wizard, the only child and son of James Potter and Lily Potter, and one of the most famous wizards of modern times. In an attempt to circumvent a prophecy that a boy born at the end of July 1980 would be able to defeat him, Lord Voldemort tried to murder him when he was a toddler after murdering Harry’s parents as they tried to protect him. This early attempt to vanquish Harry led to Voldemort’s first defeat and the end of the First Wizarding War. One consequence of Lily’s protection is that her orphaned son had to be raised by her only remaining blood relative, in her Muggle sister Petunia Dursley’s family, where he was not welcomed or nurtured, but would stay alive, at least until he was seventeen years of age. As the only known survivor of the Killing Curse up to that point, Harry was already famous before he arrived at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
James and Lily, parents of Harry Potter, were members of the first Order of the Phoenix at the height of the First Wizarding War. From birth, Harry lived in hiding with his parents after Voldemort marked them for death. They lived in the village of Godric's Hollow in a home put under the Fidelius Charm to keep them hidden. As part of the charm, they had planned to make Sirius their Secret-Keeper, but acting on his advice, they changed this designation to Peter Pettigrew, as they thought he would be less suspicious. In a terrible turn of fate, it happened that Pettigrew was a spy for Voldemort. He betrayed James and Lily, faked his own death, and framed Sirius for both.
The Potters were an old, very wealthy pure-blood family, and Harry inherited much of his wealth from his parents. The Potters descended from the Peverell family, an ancient wizarding line, through Ignotus Peverell, who passed the Cloak of Invisibility on to his descendants. The Gaunts, descendants of Salazar Slytherin, also descend from the Peverells, through Ignotus' brother Cadmus, who passed on the Resurrection Stone as a family heirloom in a signet ring which turned out to be one of the eight Hocruxes of Voldemort, making Harry and Tom Riddle very distant relatives.
It is also probable that Harry was distantly related, on his father's side, to the Blacks, Malfoys, Weasleys, and the Longbottoms, and almost all other pure-blood families, making him distantly related to various other wizards and witches, including Bellatrix Lestrange, Sirius Black, Nymphadora Tonks, and even his wife (perhaps, later in time) Ginny Weasley, though the degree of consanguinity is not known. Harry's maternal relatives were the Muggle Evans and Dursley families.
Personality: Harry Potter is an extremely brave, loyal, and selfless individual, one who possesses tremendous strength of character. He willingly went to what he truly believed to be his death at the hands of Lord Voldemort, because he believed that this was the only way to defeat the Dark Lord. Harry was also marked by what Hermione Granger once deemed a 'saving-people thing'-- he goes to great lengths and takes great risks in order to help others, particularly his loved ones. Notably, this was taken advantage of by Voldemort in 1996, when he lured Harry to the Department of Mysteries by making him believe that his godfather was in danger. Harry is also very strong-willed, unafraid to stand up for himself. Dumbledore once made parallels between Harry's traits and qualities that Salazar Slytherin looked for in his own hand-picked students, but noted that Harry's choice not to draw on those qualities really defined who he was rather than the simple fact that he had them.
Harry is perfectly prepared to put his friends' needs and best interests first. The amount of trust that Harry puts into his friends is so strong that he absolutely refused to consider that any of them would betray him to Voldemort. Considering that Harry knew a person who had betrayed all of his closest friends to Voldemort, they being Harry's parents, godfather and Remus Lupin who was there when Harry declared his trust in him, proves Harry's ability to love so unequivocally.
The closeness that Harry felt for many was great enough for him to behave violently should any of them get harmed. When his godfather was killed by Bellatrix Lestrange, Harry attacked her in a grief-stricken rage of righteous anger and attempted to use the Cruciatus Curse on her. He also attacked Severus Snape after the latter murdered Albus Dumbledore. Ironically, the only people Harry ever initiated a duel with were Snape and Bellatrix and he only desired to do so right after they killed someone he loved. This highlights Harry's bravery even further because Harry was fully aware that Snape and Bellatrix were two of the greatest wizards and witches of the age but did not hesitate to harm them as soon as he was pushed into it.
However, Harry was also accused of being arrogant, in particular by Severus Snape (although in fairness, Snape was extremely biased, and Harry often found being famous and admired very difficult), and could be hot-tempered and impulsive. Harry was prone to moodiness during his adolescence, though that was likely the result of the great emotional stress and trials he endured during this period; Harry's lack of emotional control is what undermined his ability to learn Occlumency. Harry possessed an instinctual, intuitive intelligence that allowed him to make intellectual leaps as opposed to the logical intelligence of Hermione. For example, Harry divined the truth about the Deathly Hallows, well before Hermione would accept it, and although he was clever, Harry also lacked intellectual curiosity, rarely putting forth effort into school work; for example, he relied on the notes of the 'Half-Blood Prince' to get ahead in his sixth-year Potions class rather than devoting time to studying (although he did study reasonably hard for his Ordinary Wizarding Levels, the only set of wizarding qualifications he sat at Hogwarts), and generally did his best magical work when tackling practical exams rather than theoretical ones.
Harry also seemed to have a bit of an obsessive personality, a trait he shared with his arch enemy, Lord Voldemort. During his sixth year, Harry became obsessed with finding out what Malfoy was doing. He pursued Malfoy to the detriment of his other goal such as getting the memory from Slughorn. Also, while searching for the Horcruxes, Harry became obsessed with the Deathly Hallows and did not fulfil his duty as the leader of the hunt. Also, Harry has somewhat of a nosy personality, and is at times known for getting involved in things that does not concern him.
Harry's greatest strength was his ability to feel love, despite having a miserable childhood of neglect. Harry was extremely loyal to and protective of his loved ones, and that love was what allowed him to overcome Voldemort, Dumbledore noting Harry's strength of will at resisting the temptation to act like Voldemort even when granted a direct insight into Voldemort's mind and methods. Harry even claimed that he felt sorry for Voldemort because of his inability to feel or understand love.

Age: Fifteen
Fifth year
House: Slytherin
Muggle-Born
No set love interest
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Face claim: Emily Browning
Biography: Anna Diggory, born 1929, October 16th. Anna had many ‘friends.’ Well, at least, she liked to call them by that: friends. They were, in a sort of twisted way. She simply discussed mindless and insignificant things with them, not really knowing half the time exactly what they were talking about. They put up with her for one reason and one reason only: her family. She is obviously highly oblivious to this fact, and calls them her dear close friends. Oh, what about Anna? The best word that could be used to describe Anna Diggory would be pretentious, although she would not taken kindly to being called as much. Her life was rather perfect— it thrived on perfection. She thought nothing of it. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with perfection.
However, while Anna commands respect outside of school, inside it’s an entirely different story. Being ignorant of Wizarding World terminology and customs hasn’t helped, and the first time she was called a Mudblood she took it as a compliment. She can still turn most people away with her glare, but the braver girls at her school or anyone with the guts to insult her are her instant enemies. She rules her Muggle world, and isn’t willing to step down off her high horse because of her parentage. She most definitely takes advantage of School breaks, such as— well, such as every single holiday and event, since she so obviously despises most individuals, both wizard and witch. But she most definitely has good reason, does she not?
Anna is, or rather, is soon to be, the great-grandmother of Cedric Diggory. Who’s Cedric, one may ask? Cedric’s the boy, whom was so tragically murdered by Lord Voldemort, He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. Sound familiar? In all honesty, Anna’s nothing like Cedric— in any view point. She has none of his values, and vice versa. Obviously, none of her character traits were passed onto his, being as though she is, or was, in Slytherin, and he was so admirably placed into the house of Hufflepuff. Oh, how different they are. Not necessarily in a good way or bad way, just different. Nothing’s wrong with different, no, nothing at all.

Name: Luna Lovegood
Status: RESERVED
Age: Sixteen
Sixth Year
House: Ravenclaw
Pure-Blood
No set love interest
Sexuality: Up to player
Face claim: Evanna Lynch
Biography: Luna Lovegood, or, known more commonly amongst her peers as, ‘Loony’ Lovegood, was born 1981, daughter of Xenophilius Lovegood and his wife. Her mother accidentally died while experimenting with spells when Luna was nine, and Luna was raised by her father in a rook-like house around the village of Ottery St. Catchpole. Luna first attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1992, and was sorted, respectively, into Ravenclaw house.
Oh, dear, Luna Lovegood. She’s one of the more interesting (to say the least) witches of her time. She’s extremely odd, but she doesn’t seem to mind it. As a matter of fact, she quite enjoys being ‘different.’ Different is the best thing about her. Unlike most other Ravenclaws, Luna is most definitely not stuck up. She’s the kindest individual one might ever meet in their lifetime— she’s rare in that way. At times, she’s very persistent, depending on if she wants something done or not. She doesn’t give up very easily— no, not at all, if there’s something that she wants done, she’ll be extremely determined to do exactly that, no matter the task easy or difficult.
Luna’s very oblivious to things at times, and doesn’t easily understand hints or suggestions. She’s also not one to get offended— Luna’s exceedingly happy all the time, she doesn’t need a reason, she simply is. It’s a hard task to get Luna to stop smiling, or dare say, frown. She gets offended not on the big things, such as someone insulting her and what she stands for. No, she gets offended when one objects to her ‘imaginary,’ as most wizards call it, creatures. Any small topic, one insignificant, is most definitely important to Luna. Some say she’s insane, just simply by her differences, but in all honesty, Luna is completely and utterly sane, just odd in her own ways.
Personality: Luna is an extremely quirky girl with a serene disposition and many eccentric beliefs and qualities. She is a complete nonconformist; she lacks self-consciousness and isn't afraid to show who she truly is. Luna is also highly intelligent and unusually perceptive, having been sorted into Ravenclaw, where those of wit and learning will always find their kind. Although many thought-- or, think Luna to be bizarre, a few students, including those whom traveled back in time with her (Hermione, Harry, Ron), eventually became very fond of the odd young girl.
Her demeanour and voice is often distant and dreamy, and she at times drifts away from conversations she does not find a particular interest to. She has uncanny ways of making others uncomfortable by being bluntly honest-- a knack for embarrassing honesty, according to Harry. She is completely unflappable and rarely anxious or under stress, even under difficult circumstances such as being a prisoner in Malfoy Manor. Luna is very good at comforting others, (for example) such as when she comforted Harry Potter after his godfather's death and Mr. Ollivander while they were imprisoned together.
Luna is often the subject of ridicule and has difficulty making friends. Other students gave her the nickname of 'Loony Lovegood,' and some even stole and hid her things. She is completely unfazed by this, though, and instead chooses to be patient and accepting of others around her. She once said that she does not like dancing much, though she did do some after the wedding of Bill and Fleur. Luna seems to enjoy artistic pursuits in her free time; there were various things in her house that she painted with things such as flowers or insects, and her ceiling bears portraits she did of her friends.

Name: Hermione Jean Granger
Status: TAKEN
Age: Sixteen
Sixth Year
House: Gryffindor
Muggle-Born
No set love interest
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Face claim: Emma Watson
Biography: Hermione Jean Granger was born September 19th, 1979. She is the daughter of Muggles Mr. and Mrs. Granger who were both dentists in the Muggle London. She learned, at the age of eleven, that she was a witch and had been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hermione began attending the school on September 1st of 1991, when she was eleven, almost twelve, and was sorted, accordingly, into Gryffindor House. Hermione is an academically brilliant student, the brightest Witch of her age, as some may say. Hermione is close friends with fellow Gryffindors Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, and became so in her first year of school here at Hogwarts.
Not much is known about Hermione's life before she entered the wizarding world. She is the only child of Muggle parents, Mr. and Mrs. Granger, both of which are dentists in London (but what in the heck is a dentist, anyways?). Mr. and Mrs. Granger were seen as 'quite ordinary' and although they were a bit bemused by the oddities displayed by their daughter, they were, nonetheless, proud and supportive of Hermione.
In the summer of 1991, Hermione was surprised to learn that she was a witch, and was invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She eagerly accepted and took to studying magic even before she began her first year at Hogwarts in the September of 1991-- learning all the set spell books by heart and even managing to perform 'a few spells' successfully. In addition to the texts set by the school, Hermione brought with her several other books for reference and to further her understanding of the wizarding world.
Hermione, in truth, enjoyed her years as a pupil at Hogwarts, and took assignments, classes, and school rules very seriously-- perhaps even too seriously. Her favourite subject to take was, initially, Charms, and later on as she progressed, Arithmancy; the only areas of study that gave Hermione trouble were Flying and Divination. Some students, wondered why Hermione was sorted into Gryffindor house rather than Ravenclaw, given her keen mind. Hermione admitted that the Sorting Hat did consider putting her in Ravenclaw. But, she proved her rightful place in Gryffindor with her steadfast bravery and loyalty to her friends, Hogwarts, and Dumbledore's Army. It is likely that the Sorting Hat put her in Gryffindor in the first place, because she chose to be in it, just like Harry chose to not be in Slytherin; on the train, she mentioned once, that, 'Gryffindor...sounds by far the best.'
Personality: Hermione's most prominent features include her prodigious intellect and cleverness. She is levelheaded, book-smart and is very good with logic. She is often bossy, yet unfailingly dutiful and loyal to her friends-- in other words, a person who can be counted on. Hermione is a person that 'never strays off the path; she always keeps her attention focused on the job that must be done.' Despite Hermione's intelligence and bossy attitude, if one were to pay enough attention, they would realize-- if they were to go into depth-- that Hermione has 'quite a lot of vulnerability in her personality,' as well as a 'sense of insecurity underneath,' feels 'utterly inadequate... and to compensate, she tries to be the best at everything at school, projecting a false confidence that can irritate people.' Now, that's obviously an extreme amount of depth... Let's continue on, now, Hermione once revealed that her biggest fear was, in fact, failure, after a Boggart took the form of Professor McGonagall and told her that she has failed all her exams.
Hermione has an extremely compassionate side to her personality, and is quick to help others-- especially those who are defenseless, such as-- for example-- first-years, House-Elves, fellow Muggle-borns, half-giants (yes, like Hagrid), and werewolves (such as Lupin). Hermione is also very protective of her friends and values; she has also learned to ignore what bullies such as Malfoy say to her, often preventing Harry and Ron from retaliating and thinking of some way to outsmart him. She accepts her status as a Muggle-born witch, as she has stated many times before, and most likely will continue to state, is proud of it.

Name: Draco Lucius Malfoy
Status: TAKEN
Age: Sixteen
Sixth Year
House: Slytherin
Pure-Blood
No set love interest
Sexuality: Up to player
Face claim: Tom Felton
Biography: Draco Lucius Malfoy was born June 5, 1980; he is, currently, a pure-blood wizard, and the only son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. Being the son of a Death Eater, Draco was raised to believe strongly in the importance of blood purity. He had been attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry ever since the year 1991, and was sorted, appropriately, into Slytherin house. Draco Malfoy is the only child of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, both of whom were born into old, wealthy pure-blood families. Through his mother, Draco was a descendant of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black and the great-great-great grandson of Phineas Nigellus Black. Both the Malfoys and the Blacks had traditionally been in Slytherin House for centuries and strongly disapproved of any relatives who did not follow this tradition.
The Malfoys were very proud of their pure-blood and social status; until 1996, they were able to maintain a respectable public image while being allied with Lord Voldemort (AKA Tom Marvolo Riddle, to be corresponding with this time era, specifically). Lucius was a Death Eater who avoided imprisonment in Azkaban following the First Wizarding War by claiming that he had been under the Imperius Curse, while Narcissa merely agreed with the ideology of pure-blood supremacy.
The Malfoys spoiled their son, Draco, giving him the best of everything as far as material possessions go. The only hand-me-down thing Draco ever received was the old family prejudice against Muggles, Muggle-borns, half-breeds, and blood traitors; in short, prejudice against anyone who was not a pure-blood witch or wizard, or anyone who supports these types of people.
Draco Lucius Malfoy led a sheltered life under his wealthy parents. He was raised to know his manners, and to know who was worthy and who wasn’t. He only talks to Pure-Bloods, and Pure-Bloods alone. He cares about only one thing, and that is his family. If someone dare insult Draco— his father will be sure to hear about it. He pledged allegiance to the Dark Lord, and going back on it means certain death, so he forcibly decides not. He’s proud of his Dark Mark, and as he ages, Draco himself turns darker. He’s not thrilled, however, to go back in time and meet the only person he’s scared of.
And, while Draco will never admit it, he’s not so sure about his instructions. Somewhere, deep down inside, Draco’s not truly evil. Somewhere, he knows what he’s doing is wrong, and, in truth, he’s scared. But he doesn’t dare defy You-Know-Who. He’s too much of a coward to even use his actual name! But no one dare calls Draco a ‘coward.’ It simply is not done, correct? On the outside though, Draco’s just a prat— an insignificant, mindless, dim-witted prat. He’s angry, and cruel, and bitter. No one will ever see him and his true emotions. He’s good at Quidditch, and admired by his friends and most everyone in his house.
Personality: Draco is, in general, an arrogant, spiteful bully. His narcissistic nature most likely stemmed from his being spoiled by his parents throughout his childhood. He believs himself superior to most people because of his family’s pure-blood lineage, as well as great wealth and social standing. He frequently behaves-- or, should say-- behaved cruelly to Muggle-borns, so-called blood traitors, Gryffindor students, and anyone who was a supporter of Harry Potter or Albus Dumbledore. For much of his youth, Draco took after his bigoted father, Lucius Malfoy, as a role model, and frequently boasted about his family's influence and wealth.
However, something began to change in Draco's psyche in his sixth year at Hogwarts. After Lord Voldemort made him a Death Eater, he set him with the task of assassinating Albus Dumbledore by the end of the year. After a number of feeble attempts, Draco began to crack under the enormous pressure that Voldemort was putting on him. He was uncertain of his ability to fulfill the mission and was terrified that his family would pay the price for his failure. Ultimately, Draco was unable to kill Dumbledore, lowering his wand and tempted to take Dumbledore’s offer of protection for his parents. Also, during the Battle of Hogwarts, he showed genuine concern for Crabbe and Goyle, something he rarely did.
Draco is, in fact, quite intelligent and quick-witted, capable of deducing things and coming up with clever plans based upon small amounts of information. For example, Draco figured out through Montague's experience that the Vanishing Cabinets in Hogwarts and Borgin and Burkes were linked and that he could use that passage to his advantage. Draco is also adept at compartmentalizing his emotions, as is evidenced in his success with Occlumency.

Name: Tom Marvolo Riddle

Half-Blood
No set love interest
Sexuality: Up to player
Face claim: Christian Coulson
Biography: Tom Marvolo Riddle was born on 31 December, New Years Eve, 1926 at Wool's Orphanage in London. His pure-blood mother, Merope Gaunt, a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, died shortly after his birth. Soon before her death, she named the child after his father, Tom Riddle Sr., and Marvolo Gaunt, her father. Tom Riddle Sr. was a wealthy Muggle living in the village of Little Hangleton who was tricked into a relationship with Merope through possible use of a Love Potion. After a time, it was thought that Merope had discontinued her use of love potions on Tom, in the hopes that he had really fallen in love with her-- or would at least stay for their child's sake. To Merope's great sorrow, he abandoned her and their unborn child.
Tom Riddle grew up in a dingy orphanage, completely unaware of his wizarding heritage. Since the Muggle orphanage staff had known nothing about his mother, they had no knowledge of his magical background. Instead, they believed that Merope was a circus worker, as Mrs. Cole told Albus Dumbledore shortly before his first meeting with Tom. It is unknown whether or not the orphanage staff relayed this to Tom before his first encounter with Dumbledore. Despite his ignorance of his mother's true background, Tom did have some grasp on his abilities beyond that of normal magical children of his same age, however, as well as an unusually high degree of control over them. Tom could move objects with his mind and cause them to travel floating wherever he wished, manipulate animals and creatures as he wished, speak Parseltongue, and use his power to inflict harm on other orphans. After getting into a fight with an orphan, a boy, he used his powers to hang the boy's rabbit from the rafters. On one occasion, he took two orphans, Dennis Bishop and Amy Benson, into a cave, where he performed an act so horrifying that the two orphans were traumatised into silence. Young Tom Riddle also stole from fellow orphans and hid their possessions in his cupboard like trophies.
When Tom was eleven years of age, Albus Dumbledore, a professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, talked to Mrs. Cole first, who informed him of how unusual Tom was, sharing tales of his extraordinary influence over the other children. When Dumbledore was at last introduced to the boy, Tom at first believed him to be a doctor or psychiatrist of some sort that had come to take him to an asylum. He was convinced after Dumbledore demonstrated his power by using a Flame-Freezing Charm on Tom's cupboard, and when he revealed that Hogwarts was a school for people with magic, which Tom realized his abilities were.
At a very early age, it was clear that Riddle displayed a desire to be different, set apart from others. He was not surprised at all upon being informed by Dumbledore that he was a wizard-- he was, in fact, eager to believe that he had special gifts that no one else held possession of. Tom also showed an eminent fear of death, considering it a human weakness. He claimed that his mother couldn't have been a witch, because if she was magical, than she would have been able to avoid dying.
Tom Riddle is thought of as the most talented pupil to ever attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is an extremely intellectual and influential Wizard— which may or may not be a good thing. His favorite class to attend is DADA, Defense Against the Dark Arts, which has always very much interested him. To the school at large, he appears to be an exceedingly handsome and polite young adult. In reality, however, Riddle is cruel, arrogant, sadistic, apathetic human being-- which, he is hardly a human being at all.
Personality: Extremely intelligent with a quick wit, Tom is able to acquire any information he so desires. He does what he wants to get everything he wants and he could honestly care less as to what anyone thinks of his methods. He isn’t foolishly arrogant, though, as he calculates the outcomes to every possible action he could make in every situation. Tom Riddle is fully aware of what would occur would he express the way he truly feels about, well, everything. Charismatic, studious, brave, and brilliant, he is seen by the entire student and staff population as a model student-– who wouldn’t love someone as seemingly flawless as he? To Tom’s annoyance, however, Dumbledore seems to be the only one able to see right through him.
Internally Tom is sadistic, manipulative, arrogant, and sociopathic. He views most of his peers as pawns, idiots unaware of just who they’re dealing with. Though he surrounds himself with those of the purest bloodlines, he still finds most of them to be unappreciative of their magical ability and heritage. In all honesty, he finds half the magical population just as disgusting as the muggles he grew up around, but he would never let anyone know of these true feelings. Deceiving others is something he finds to be almost too easy, even despite Dumbledore’s constant watch over him. Not only does he have a keen mind, making manipulating others with words a simple task, Tom is more than simply handsome. He uses his sharp, angled cheekbones, thick black hair that can almost be described as a “neat mess” - that look every other boy strives to create-- and fairly muscular build to his advantage. He can have any girl swoon over him within minutes-- a fun game he likes to play when he’s on break from his personal missions.

Name: Abraxas Malfoy
Status: TAKEN
Age: Seventeen
Seventh Year
House: Slytherin
Pure-Blood
No set love interest
Sexuality: Bisexual
Face claim: Ryan Gosling
Biography: Abraxas Malfoy is a Pure-Blood wizard whom and has yet to become father of Lucius Malfoy, grandfather of Draco Malfoy, and great-grandfather of Scorpius Malfoy. He is going to be related by marriage to the Blacks and, more distantly, to the Lestranges.
Abraxas has absolute no idea of the existance of Draco Malfoy (at least, at this time), and it should stay that way. For Draco’s sake, that is. But, that's a different subject, one in which will not be gone into at this time. Oh, but Draco most certainly is here at this time-era, which, as a matter of fact, is not good in any aspect at all-- not good for his welfare or the welfare of others. It's of the utmost importance that Draco and Abraxas should not interfere with the course of each others lives-- not even with the most tiniest things-- they should not come across each other, or catch sight of one another. Why is this being stressed so much? The tiniest insignificant little change of events could create a catastrophic outcome. The similarities they have are very precise, and many students have mistaken them for each other.
Abraxas is basically like any other teenager, always around his fellow Slytherins, his friends. He often jokes about in his classes, never really ever understanding the concept of any subject the teachers and staff here at Hogwarts are teaching him. He finds it pointless; completely and utterly pointless. There are times, though, that Abraxas finds himself in nearly impossible situations, situations that Tom Riddle, one of his most trusted friend, so decides to put him in. These situations put him under a lot of stress, putting strain on his life, making things terribly difficult as a whole. At times he wishes that he never even met the boy Tom Marvolo riddle, but then, sometimes, he does.
Personality: (As put into the format and vocabulary that Abraxas would so use...) One thing that must be discussed, is his hubris. For those of you who have a lack of education in your lives, that’s basically another term for arrogance or over-confidence. He certainly doesn't see himself as arrogant; he's just a very self-assured man. He doesn't doubt himself, and he's not the type to second guess his own decisions. Why do you think he knows he'll be able to go places in life? Exactly-- he has confidence. He's not some sniveling coward who bows down and kisses someone else’s arse to get where he wants… most of the time. He enjoys being in positions of power, and being told what to do, well. His listening skills, as he's been told, are rather lackluster in terms of subordination. He likes to dominate… take that however you please.
Has he mentioned to you how charming he is? Honest to Merlin, he can charm the knickers off any witch he so desires, and can talk his way out of trouble, among other things. It’s not that difficult to him, really. It’s almost as if lying and being a falsely charismatic person was embedded in his lineage. Not that he minds, of course. He rather likes being able to talk people in and out of things. Once again, it goes with the power package. A lot of the things he likes goes hand in hand with power, come to think of it. Amusing, isn’t it?

Name: Adrienne Desdemona Selwyn
Status: TAKEN
Age: Seventeen
Seventh Year
House: Slytherin
Pure-Blood
No set love interest
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Face claim: Ashley Greene
Biography: Born at midnight on August 1st to Aiden and Evelyn Selwyn as their youngest of two, the only daughter, the wealthy pureblood family was mainly dominated by females, however they were ruled with an iron fist by the males. Her middle name was given to her by her mother, in respect to her own younger sister, Desdemona whom would later take Adrienne in as a second daughter when the beautiful, yet self-interested woman, focused on her career. Aiden worked for the Ministry of Magic as a Hit Wizard and was a former Slytherin; Evelyn was an actress for the magical world. She was from France, having attended Beauxbaton as a student. Later on, growing up with an older brother a year apart, Alexandre terrorized the younger girl when they were together. Her first act of magic was when she was five years old, a year before her brother would show them, when she had been pouting about not getting a bowl of ice cream while she was visiting her aunt’s and suddenly, her uncle’s wine ended up being salt water. Alexandre’s first sign of magic was when he was seven, and he scared her by making a cockroach – she still gets shivers seeing them – multiply in size, as well as a spider later on that evening.
When he went away to Hogwarts, it was a short-lived relief because a few months later, Adrienne accompanied her parents to Azkaban for an execution. She was ten years old when she witnessed the death of her father’s sister, a woman that killed her husband and a muggle woman with three children because she had found the man cheating on her… and it was also when Adrienne began to fear the Dementors. When it was her turn to go to Hogwarts, Adrienne’s wand was the very last one that her grandfather created and sold before her uncle, Dominic, took over the business. It was in her first year that the young girl found her favorite thing about Hogwarts aside from the food and a few classes: Quidditch. She went to every single game, wearing the colors for Slytherin for their respected games, as well as cheering for Ravenclaw when her house wasn’t playing. That summer when she went home, Adrienne began to train as hard as she could with her uncle for try outs. She was in her second year when she began to play as a Chaser for her house team, the position that she had wanted to play from the moment that she began to play with her uncle, also joining the Hogwarts Choir. It was in her third year that she took Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures in addition to her normal class load. She began working hard in DADA, practicing continuously to perform a Patronus after an incident with a boggart left her shaken, in addition to trying out wandless magic.
Later on, she dropped CoMC, preferring to continue in Ancient Runes, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts in her fourth year. It was during that year that she also received the rather nasty scar on her left shoulder from an open fracture when she and the Ravenclaw Keeper collided, causing her to rather dislike the other student. In the summer before her fifth year, Adrienne talked back to her father for the first time in her life, and in return, she had been slapped across the face after he had insulted her aunt in front of her. Stunned, she began to become relatively quiet towards her father, disdainful towards her sibling and she moved to stay the rest of the summer with her aunt until the last few days leading up to school. Her father was promoted to the Head of the Department of Law Enforcement later that year, and over Winter break, he went to apologize to Adrienne only for her to slam her bedroom door in his face, climb out the window and sit on the roof for a few hours with her owl, watching her mare and pony sleep in the distance.
During the school period, she perfected her Patronus, which took the form of a coyote. Over the summer of her sixth year, her parents once more became more active in the Wizarding World while the muggle war went to hell. Adrienne remained in her happy place that summer with her horses, often reading or sketching when she wasn’t practicing Potions with her aunt or just being on her own. As her seventeenth birthday approached, Adrienne was excited to finally use magic without any penalty and began to practice defensive and offensive spells on her own time with strong self-discipline. She is in her seventh and final year at Hogwarts, with her eyes set on a certain Slytherin male.
Personality: Adrienne is a relatively easy person to get along with if you have all the right potential in her eyes, or she could be the hardest. She has a strong internal need to succeed due to the pressure that her father has always placed on her when he does pay attention to her and her need to have her mother accept her. She is an extremely stubborn and ambitious young woman that doesn’t particularly care for how young women should properly act, believing that if they want something done they shouldn’t wait for a man to come around and fix something. A bit of a feminist, she enjoys proving people wrong when they say she can’t do it and watch their jaws hit the ground. She is also a bit of a flirt, having quite the time teasing to the point of lust before drawing back and leaving them to their own devices; despite being a tease, she still has personal morals. When it comes to dating, she is possessive of her partner and can be quite the bitch if someone oversteps set boundaries.
She is quite the competitive little thing, loving Quidditch and has talent in the sport. She is a decent leader and is relatively resourceful in many ways. On the negative side, she doesn’t particularly enjoy meeting new people when she isn’t with someone that she knows and it can be quite awkward for her. Around those that she knows and gets along with, the girl can be considered a chatter box, however if she’s near her father or by a new person, she tends to seem as if she’s on a quota for words and try to avoid talking. Adrienne also has a violent but well hidden temper and when she finally is on the tipping point or if something is bothering her, she can often be found by herself trying to calm down by either skipping rocks into a lake, sitting away from others reading, or just going for a walk by herself so that she doesn’t allow her crueler side show. She has a quick-tongue, and she can get very sarcastic or say mean things to amuse herself.
If you’ve managed to be on her good side for a while, you’ll have a dedicated and caring friend that has no issue telling someone off or hexing them silently for your benefit. If you don’t bother her, she won’t bother you. Adrienne doesn’t hate people without a reason, and she’s usually pretty good at getting along with everyone on a mutual level or respect until she’s shown otherwise. For enemies, if you piss her off or hurt someone that is important to, she has a bad temper and has no problem playing dirty. She can hold a grudge for a very long time-– ask her father.

Adrienne Desmona Selwyn
Application for Adrienne Desmona Selwyn (original character) accepted.
Age: Nineteen
Timezone: Pacific
Personal Tumbr (as way of contact): x
How often you can be on: Everyday unless I lose internet access, but I will never just vanish without any warning at all. If anything, I can text Shelby (Abraxas) and ask her to relay the message for me to you that I’ll be gone for a little bit. I live ten minutes from the library, however, so I really doubt I’ll completely become unreachable.
Why you would like to join this roleplay: I would like to join this roleplay because I’ve grown very fond of Riddle-Era roleplay, even going as far as co-admining a site, and then creating another that will hopefully be opened in June for Riddle Era rp on IF, called Toujours Pret (French for Always Ready). Adrienne is actually my character from the site, only I have adjusted her personality for this, as well as her history. Selwyn is one of the minor Harry Potter Riddle Era families that I have found while researching in the past and it sticks for me.
Comment: If possible, and this is more like a comment/concern type thing, if I’m accepted, I would like to claim Ashley Greene OR Astrid Berges-Frisbey (latter preferred with Adrienne, however you already have her listed as Bellatrix which is why I had mentioned the first) as my play by.
Roleplay experience: 5+ years, most of it being vampire. I’ve been roleplaying Harry Potter for three years straight, however. I will be a little confused at first, however, because I’ve never rped on Tumblr but I’m a quick learner, just forgive me if I ask a million questions. I’m just like that in general, no matter what site I’m on. As you can probably tell, I am a detailed writer and grew up being a huge Harry Potter nerd. (I actually have posters of the Weasley twins and Draco Malfoy scattered across my bedroom walls. /shot)
Preferred ships: Abraxas/OC (I’m a friend of Shelby & Remi’s), George/OC, Tom/Braxas (I even made graphics for Remi), Draco/OC, Draco/Harry, Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny,

Sexuality: Heterosexual (with bicurious tendencies.)
Sample paragraph: She was a bit of a flirt, and even she would admit it to her closer female friends – alright, so she would only admit it to Araminta and only if the other girl were to ask about it first. She loved to make males watch the way she moved, from subtly swinging her hips in the sensual way that most women walk, to smiling and touching their forearms when she talked to them, or even just complimenting them and winking as she passed them in the halls after she greeted them. Maybe it was just because she liked the attention, but it was rather easier in her opinion to make a man chase her rather than have her chase them. It was strange, however, because no matter what she had always done, even in attempt, Adrienne had never fully flirted out with Abraxas aside from a few subtle things subconsciously that she couldn’t control.
In all honesty, the woman preferred to just be rude to him and walk away, taunt him, and then walk away before he could actually hurt her. Sure, she’d hexed him silently and wandlessly a few times to point out exactly how much more talent as a witch she had, but it was all in harmless – to her anyway - fun. Everything she did, however, as she tried to shove him away or tell him to shove off, the man didn’t seem to be able to take a hint. It was sad somehow that whatever higher level of power couldn’t give him enough blood to support two brains at once, and if the rumors were true, Abraxas Malfoy ran off of only one of them… and as he smirked and shrugged his shoulders, her point was proven. Still, was it a bad thing to act as if she were actually considering his offer?
Please correct the following sample paragraph that contains English mistakes and improper punctuation:
Ethan walked through the meadow, glancing down now and then to admire the flowers. He was tired of being held captive by people who had no knowledge of his life; his future belonged to him and no one else. Hesitantly, he gathered a handful of leaves, taking in the feel of their texture. He held them closely to his face, using all of his senses to learn more about them. As suddenly as he had picked them up, he threw them back into the air, letting them fall around him. “This world,” he whispered calmly, “your world has no idea what I have to offer.”
Please bold the correct word:
There are (two/to/too) of them by the sidewalk.
Just let Tom and Rupert have (there/they’re/their) romance!
I think that you should just shut (your/you’re) trap.

When is this RP going to open?
Hmm... Soon. Just... well, I suppose when a reasonable amount of people audition-- which, they already have...
Actually, I just really need to revamp the site, and when that's done, then it'll open.

I meant accepted apps, sorry. I have my mindset in journalism land right now. You don't have to answer this, I just wanted to clarify. <3
Hah. XD It's alright-- no, let me love you, I'm answering this-- if I was not tired, or lazy, I would give you a gif, and it would express all the feels.
So here. Just. Take this heart. ----> <3

I was curious if the accepted character feature had been updated recently, or any other things.
Accepted character... are you referring to accepted applications, or?
I need to update it; I still need to accept a few apps. Sorry, I'm just being extremely slow with them. I promise I will get to that tomorrow.

When submitting my post, do I title it with the name of my character? I'm sorry for asking all of these questions. Also, would you like me to post it as my personal tumblr or one for my character?
Oh! Well, that would be more convenient, but it's not necessary. Don't be sorry, it's completely fine! (: You should be applying with either your personal tumblr or a tumblr you use for roleplaying-- either is fine.
