I went to a casting for camp councillors!!
It was a ton of fun, I think I showed off my abilities well, and one of my fellow aspiring councillors described me as "talkative", which I was!! I was anxious of course (I always am), but I managed to actually behave socially! And had a fun day! This was great!

Went to the doctor and then to the pharmacy all by myself for the first time today
It was just a cold, very simple to get through, so this was a perfect safe situation to practice doing things on my own for if I ever Had to

Went to a tea house with a friend I haven't seen in a while.
I tried Chai Late for the first time ever, I quite like it :)
We are going to make each other friendship bracelets, so we chose the colours for them

I could never see them, until tonight
I've always loved constellations.
The little white dots in the night sky, representing the light of giant stars, so unimaginably far away, have fascinated me since childhood.
I would stare up into the rich, deep blue darkness of the night, connecting the sparks shining from it into a myriad of incredible images.
I listened to ancient stories about the beings others said they saw in the sky. What they did when they were on earth, and how they ended up, well, up there.
But I just never could see them.
No matter how many hours I craned my neck into uncomfortable positions, no matter how many star maps I studied and no matter how many friends pointed at a smattering of the mysterious lights, I could never actually pinpoint any constellation myself.
Today, I went on a walk.
The sun had set hours ago, the comforting blanket of night covered the sky.
I glanced up.
And I saw it.
There, right where I was looking at, was the Little Dipper.
I recognised each individual star, I saw the shape they created together.
I  was taken aback, my breath left me in an astonished gasp, my feet startled and turned around, wrenching my gaze from my first ever real constellation in the completely opposite direction.
Right onto the Big Dipper.
I have no idea how I could have ever missed it, with its magnificent size and clear formation. Awe overwhelmed me as I swung my head back in the direction direction of its smaller companion, delighted at not seeing only one constellation, but two in the same night, within moments of each other.
As I studied the Little Dipper more closely, my eyes strayed quite a ways to the left, where they caught on a belt of stars. A belt...
The Orion's belt!
Quickly calling forth memories of the illustrations I wistfully burned into my mind so long ago, I pinpointed the brightest surrounding stars and drew imaginary lines between them, until I saw the full figure of Orion.
So overjoyed by this newest discovery, my body turned round and round, not knowing which of the three effervescent images to look at first.
Behind the fence, a neighbour's dog, startled by my abnormal behaviour, devolved into a shrill stream of barks. I payed him and his noisy barrage little mind, too preoccupied with studying the beautiful patterns emerging all around me from the depths of the darkness above.
I finally stopped myself and settled in one spot, so the dog did as well.
I noticed Polaris, just as bright and regal as ever. Though I never paid this lone star much mind, I just had to admit, this tiny speck of white fire, burning so assuredly, was just as beautiful as any constellation out there.
The rest of my walk remained enchanting, guided by the Little Dipper, the Big Dipper, Orion and Polaris.
I could never see them, until tonight.
And now, I will never overlook them again.

what would your oc(s) do if a perfectly normal whole watermelon appeared on their doorstep one day?
Kaitlyn would find it, stare at it for a while, begore calling Copper over to look at it. Copper would be delighted, immediately scoop it up and bring it inside, only to realise that the kitchen table and all the counter tops are absolutely cluttered, leaving no place to set the melon down.
Kaitlyn would rush in and attempt to make some space, accidentally making an even bigger mess in her haste to clear everything up. Copper, standing there, bored, holding the watermelon, starts to rock it back and forth like a baby. Kaitlyn snickers at her and comments that Copper looks like a father.
They go back and forth making jokes about their new baby, the melon, giving it a name and assigning it a personality.
By the time the was finally somewhere to put the melon and a cutting board, the both of them felt a little conflicted on whether to eat the fruit, as they got emotionally attached to it.
In the end they do eat it, because they were not about to let a perfectly good melon go to waste
