If you’re feeling overwhelmed right now, pick one thing to do. It can be tiny, like wiggling your toes. Then try just one more, and another, a keep adding little things. Before you know it you’ve wiggled your toes, moved your legs, stood up, walked across the room, turned the sink on, and washed a dish! Sometimes big things just need to be separated into smaller manageable tasks, and that’s okay.

“I would look for examples of men of my age who were already dead. And I was tormented by the thought that I might not have time to accomplish my task. What task? I had no idea. Frankly, was what I was doing worth continuing?”
Albert Camus, The Fall

"I had thought of work as stairs. Stairs to climb to reach the top. Now, I see work as food. Food that you need every day. Food that makes a difference to my body, my heart, my mental health, and my soul. There is food you just shove down your throat, and food that you eat with care and sincerity. I want to be one who takes great care in eating simple food. Not for anyone, but for myself."
— Hwang Bo-reum, from Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop in a book review by Apoorva Tadepalli in "What Comes After Workism?" (The Atlantic, March 18, 2024)

The mighty Buffalo Soldiers !!
Bob Marley wrote a song about them :)
Their accomplishments:
* Created an arboretum along the South Fork of the Merced River in Yosemite near today's Wawona. Widely considered the first marked nature trail and museum in a national park. (1904)
* Constructed the first usable wagon road into the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park. Some of the oldest, largest trees on the planet. (1903)
* Cut a trail up rugged Mt. Whitney; at 14,505 feet, the tallest peak in the contiguous United States. (1903)
* Served as official escort from San Francisco to Yosemite for President Theodore Roosevelt's historic visit. The 9th Cavalry had the honors, led by Captain Charles Young. (1903)

Jean-Luc Picard @SpaceDadSupport The activism you do towards social justice is important, even if it feels small to you. Change requires an abundance of small actions towards a better tomorrow. Change is thwarted by inaction. I'm proud of you for all that you do. 2:57 PM · Nov 10, 2023

Chaos Theory has reached 500 hits on ao3!! ...which might not sound like a lot but I am pretty proud considering it's a little over a month old and written for a 25-year-old fandom.
More ao3 stats:
Chaos Theory is at 29 kudos!! So close to 30 ahhh
I've published about 70k words on my account... WHAT?! A novel is about 50k and it's been *checks calendar* less than two months!! I have about 82k words of fanfic written overall if you include the stuff I am still working on.
I am at nine total stories, eight (lol) of which are Final Fantasy VIII
My second most popular fic is a Hazbin Hotel one-shot that is a week old and has 487 hits, 68 kudos, 10 bookmarks, and three comments. Damn writing for newer fandoms is weird.
I feel so proud and accomplished but also this might be the most into a hobby I've ever been??? I love it here thank you to all my amazing readers ❤️❤️❤️
P.s. I also got an interview for grad school so yaaaay accomplishments
