No trail rides today (way too wet and windy) but we had an exciting day nonetheless! First up was a surprise visit from my little sister, Soraya, who came over from Firgrove to use the Silverglade jumping arena! I managed to snap some action shots of her and her lovely horse Lenny - they look incredible together!

Next up was a lesson with one of our regular clients, Erica. I don't usually teach show jumping as I am by no means a professional in the field; however, Erica has been taking supplementary jumping lessons at Jorvik Stables and has proved herself to be very competent. Since the jumps were already set up, we saddled up Merlin and took him down to the arena. Merlin was an absolute superstar and Erica rode him amazingly well, especially since she usually rides Balto or Ibisco and this was only her second ride on him. Look at them go!!

I was going to brave the rain and take Willow for a quick hack with Soraya before she headed off (she never leaves without getting a ride on Lorca, and can you blame her?), but we ended up having to get the farrier out for Skodi, who is booked all day tomorrow for an offsite dressage clinic with a client and really cannot afford to be throwing his shoes off while tearing around the field with Ibisco... Luckily our farrier Conrad saved the day and Skodi won't be getting out of that clinic so easily, haha

I'm Ronan Cloudland, owner of Silverglade Baroque Horses in central Jorvik. We offer an array of riding opportunities, from gentle trail rides to intrepid multi-day treks. Treks are guided by myself or another member of our experienced and knowledgable team, with an emphasis on Jorvegian history, culture and the sheer enjoyment of riding on our stunning and well-schooled Baroque horses. I also offer lessons in classical dressage and working equitation at the beautiful Silverglade facilities.
