Heine glanced up from his spot at the desk, having been grading the princes’ work. He spotted the King enter, bowing his head immediately in respect.

“Your Majesty, not at all, please, come in” Heine replied, waving a hand gently to urge him inside. He put the papers to the desk, setting down his pen, before turning to give the King his full attention.

“Thank you Your Majesty, I’m unworthy of such kind words. I merely acted as any tutor should, and the princes’ have warmed up over time, though Prince Leonhard can still be difficult at times. Their progress is going remarkably well. Prince Kai is learning the basics of communication and I even saw him striking up a conversation with one of the castle maids. I believe her name is Helene. Prince Bruno is learning flexibility and I believe he’s learning that best by tutoring Princess Adele and her friends. Prince Licht is finally getting serious about his studies and actually putting some effort in now that he can work his cafe job without any worries. And Prince Leonhard surprised me today. He actually brought me his work ahead of time, though much of it was still incorrect” Heine replied, giving King Viktor a small smile.

“Am I interrupting?” 

The monarch knocks on the door only once, announcing his presence as he opens it to the study beyond. He could hear the boys as they left, a sure sign as any that their lessons for the day dismissed. He had missed much in the time he was away, it seemed every time he returned his children had grown by leaps and bounds. Now with a new tutor it seemed that they growing even faster, slowly shaping into fine rulers before his very eyes. Yet they were not whom he sought, rather it was the one shaping them he suspected may yet linger in the room. 

“Greetings Royal Tutor, I was hoping to hear your thoughts on the young princes’ progress. They seem to have taken quite a liking to you in the short time that you’ve been here. That is quite an accomplishment in and of itself.”

       ALRIGHT, SETTLE DOWN!   it’s been four months since i made this blog, and even despite extremely sporadic activity, i’ve managed to reach 500 followers.  as such, i figured it was high time to show a little appreciation to those of y’all that have stuck by me, so, as i promised, i’m hosting a giveaway!
