I think we forget how far In-ho went with his mission to break Gi-hun

Here’s my list of what all I remember him doing:

-purposefully bringing up triggering events (nearly dying at dalgona)

-saying things that would hit Gi-huns sweet spots to make the trust and connection deeper and therefore the betrayal and Gi-hun’s ultimate self-blame for trusting him worse (“i still trust you”)

-constantly challenging his beliefs as Young-il, placing the fear in Gi-hun that if he had just went with what Young-il said or questioned himself further, they wouldn’t be where they were.

-toying with him in the games to make him fear death/test his morality and patience.

-making him seem weak (“thats enough”)

-making him seem untrustworthy by causing the attention to be on Gi-hun’s knowledge of the first games, but having the second game be different

-taking away one of the two people he had left in his life. the ONLY hope he really had. right in front of him

-bringing him out in a coffin both to serve as humiliation and a lesson that his life was not in his hands anymore. he wasn’t a hero, just another player

-hanging the rebels dead bodies.

-not letting Gi-hun die despite how much he wanted to. he needed to accomplish breaking him first

-chaining him up and taunting him about not being allowed to vote

-identity reveal being of a very trusted friend

I was wondering, as i always have to listen to music and very often while reading, do you listen to anything while writing? :> and if you do, does it depend on the mood of the chapter you are writting in that moment, or does it depend on something else?

Hi anon thank you for the ask! It's such an honor to receive compliments and love from my Ruebies (readers of my fics). I cannot stress how much joy it brings me that I can spread my love for storytelling to others, and I feel like the 14 years of writing on and off have finally paid off. My current wip fic can be found here.

Yes, I do listen to music while I write, and it does vary from chapter to chapter. I might start putting songs in my author's note so my readers can listen along while reading if they'd like.

I also posted my favorite Inhun song here. This is the song that I listen to across ALL the Inhun fics I write.

Okay, I'm here to ramble about something silly, let's hope this improves your mood a little.

I love the fics where Gihun and Inho get it going on right in the middle of the night, in the same room where the other players are sleeping, just like the next guy.

But they're so unrealistic.

I mean, I can imagine Inho being able to keep it quiet through the whole thing. But are you really gonna tell me that him *points at Gihun* would be able to not make a single sound while getting fucked/a bj/a hj/ from Inho? He looks like someone that would make every sound known by man when he's getting pleasure, and very loudly. I'm not out right saying he's most likely a screamer but... yeah.

Just... imagine that it's right after the first or second game (but before Mingle), where there's still a considerably big number of players alive. It's in the middle of the night, and everyone's supposed to be asleep. Except almost all of these players are still in shocked, scared, paranoid, and/or unable to close their eyes and sleep.

The tension between Gihun and Inho is too much for them, so they decide to do something about it (sex, hj, bj, you name it).

When they're done, they just stare at each other, a soft blush on their cheeks. The warm light from the piggy shining above them while they're trying to quietly catch their breath.

And then...

Someone with a broken -and pretty annoyed- English yells loudly in the middle of the deep silence.

Thanos: "Are you finally done?! Fuck, next time just go the fucking bathrooms like the rest of us! The fuck is wrong with you?!"

One by one, more voices start to cry out their own complaints, all of them agreeing with what the first voice said. And then, much to Gihun's mortification, a few other players start to make suggestive sounds and others whistle loudly.

Gihun covers his face with both hands, completely mortified. In-ho just lays there in the same bed as Gihun, lazily strokes his hair, coming to the realization that most likely his guards watched and hears everything as well.

Oh, well. They're getting paid anyway.

Omg this is so funny, I LOVE IT SO MUCH (lmao Thanos)! It has indeed made me feel better (although I have been doomed to work this weekend...)

But like, aren't there multiple camera angles of the bunk beds?? What if their fornication was directly under a camera (and Inho knew the whole time). He's like staring directly into the camera after Gihun's reluctantly dozed off, face pressed against his neck, and he mouths at his staff, "I want a copy of the tape sent to my quarters."

(Wait, but there are like fifty older men in the dorms...I feel like it would be sleep apnea city/snoring like incoming trains kind of noise level there if they actually managed to get some shut eye... Inho's probably safe messing around with Gihun if he drugs everyone the next evening 😂)

So, I watched the Matrix for the first time last night and I can't stop thinking about Inhun

I just have so many fucking thoughts about the Matrix and Squid Game. ESPECIALLY Inhun, their dynamics, and ideological war.

I kind of want to make a blogpost about it but I'm still recovering so I need to like gather my thoughts, but UGHHHHHH it was so good.

I highly recommend people who like to put their media discourse goggles on to watch the Matrix, it literally made me have a whole new epiphany surrounding Squid Game, and by extension... Inhun.

meanwhile my boyfriend is simply enjoying watching Neo dodge bullets...

I have a confession to make.

I have an anon inhun fic floating on ao3 that I debated on entirely rewriting because I wasn't satisfied with the writing quality. I've thought of combining it with the s3 ending rewrite fix-it idea that's been rotting my brain

Instead of sacrificing himself, Gihun chose to gamble one last time at the end of the 2024 Games. He tells the VIPs and the Frontman that he will jump with both, and there will be no winner in these atrocious games. Making a compelling argument, Inho was forced to make a choice as Gihun ran the clock down. That choice would soon change the course of what would’ve been. When Gihun woke up, he was back in the pink motel, handcuffed. The baby was sleeping soundly next to him. And across from him was Inho. Gihun doesn't trust Inho, doesn't want anything to do with him. He calls Inho a dog, a pawn in the system. They argue. Until Gihun points out that Inho could've done something since he must be rich from profiting off the games. And Inho tells him he did make money, 45.6 billion. The implication made Gihun's heart and stomach drop. Later when he got out of the shower, he sees Inho sitting at the edge of the bed, the TV turned on with the letters: Squid Game 2015 on the screen. Before Gihun could speak, Inho cuts him off. "Sit down. This will take a while."
