It’s official! Midheaven now has a place to begin our super exciting new music project!
Thanks to the kind and wonderful folks at GRACE/Rural Arts Collective, we have found a gathering space at their base in our hometown of Hardwick. It’s the historic building that we had (in the past) referred to as “The Old Firehouse” … that adorable, turn-of-the-century structure nestled between the co-op…
My first instrumental EP, "It Can Be Difficult Sometimes" is out now on YouTube Music, hitting other services early next week.

Happy New Year to all of you from Danielle, myself, and all that is Midheaven. As we wend our way into 2024, we want to take a minute to reflect on the journey we’ve undertaken so far with a candid exploration of the personal challenges we’ve faced over the past month, the milestones we’ve achieved despite them, and an urgent request for support from our vibrant and caring community.

Hi everyone. Healing is always iterative and incremental, I've found. I try to embrace the joyful moments when I find them.
Hi everyone. This is just a quick update In the spirit of joyful and ever-iterative healing. I’m excited to share that I finally mended my favorite hang-around-and-get-stuff-done pants. Oh, it's a party! Working on my PhD Dissertation LIVE, babies. Come on by!
Here's the topic:
My dissertation deconstructs Western systems of social organization and control from the perspective of an unwitting implement of harmful behavior. Using a phenomenological study and posthuman/feminist critique of patriarchal systems, I explore the underlying frameworks that shape our perception, action, and emotion, and the resulting damage caused to ourselves and those around us. Through my research, I aim to help others navigate similar traps from a place of soul-based objectivity, by examining the mental and emotional trauma, isolation, othering, and attempts at control that arise from perpetuating such systems
I am now able to formally announce that I have been laid off and am mostly unemployed. I will still be teaching my graduate course on design for the learning organization at NVU. And while I am not looking to re-enter the corporate world anytime soon, I am #opentowork on helping to solve important, complex experience and/or organizational issues, so keep me in mind for wicked problems and hyper objects, or if you’d like some help finding them.
In the meantime, I am taking advantage of my surprise vacation by focusing on waking up, making amends, and re-connecting to life, love, and music.
