For your film- all your lines were done traditionally but the colors were digital right? Was that also done in after effects? Would you be willing to talk more about how you did that?
Hi! yeah no problem, it was actually relatively simple, The animation was loosely colored in TVPaint (3rd phase in the video) , which I used as a mask when compositing in after effects.
Everything was composited digitally, but it all had an analogue base. I had a few basic textures that I combined and re-used throughout the film. To get the colors right for different scenes I just adjusted the hue/saturation.
Hi! I was wondering what you use to make the holes on your animation paper? I meant from your desk setup gif (from the last ask you answered), the way the paper you are painting on fits onto the slider with oval and round extrusions, i.e. onto the thing that stops the paper moving about. I hope I am asking something that makes sense!
Hi! That's actually an animation pegbar :) It holds the paper in the right place when animating and recording. My friend lent me a perforator that makes those specific holes (those perforators are basically impossible to get so that was a lifesaver haha)
