i had a friend who'd actually make "egg 🫵" jokes whenever a cis male friend talked abt enjoying feminine stuff or w/e and it genuinely made him uncomfortable even if flash forward years later turns out he's genderfluid

it can just make ppl uncomfortable when u kinda imply you know their gender better than they themselves do or that a guy with any relationship to femininity *has got* to wind up being trans

i dont think it deserves a war of discourse but the jokes often do rub me the wrong way tbh

i dunno all the egg discourse is stupid if someone says something eggish around me I just say “yknow you can be a [gender] if you wanna” and “you can try hrt to see if you like it” etc. do people even know what real actual behaviors that people are doing that are bad or is everyone just making up strawpeople of either the evil trans women feminizing all the men around her or the fragile conservative trans person who thinks you should never imply someone might be trans because itll hurt their feelings or whatever. its like What The Fuck are you Two Talking About

for the past two years i have been sponsoring a tuberculosis detection rat in tanzania, her name is carolina. she sniffs sputum samples & alerts her handlers when she detects TB. recently she turned 8 & aged out of the program, so they held a retirement party for her & sent me photos.

while carolina moves on to live a life of rest & luxury in the retirement kennels, her role is being passed on to her successor, tamasha. she is 2 years old & was named after the grandmother of one of her handlers.
