This lady was my strength and my best friend. I don’t know to keep going sometimes with her gone. In your head you know someday you will have to say goodbye to a parent, but nothing actually prepares you for when that day comes. It feels like a fog has set itself down on me and I can’t focus anymore. Grief is a strange thing. Sometimes acutely aware and painful, sometimes sitting in the background allowing you to continue on with life. The rest of my life is such a long time to miss her.

My mom passed suddenly and it threw my world upside down for a while. After a long break I think I’m ready to get back on my journey and continue to grow in my practice. It’s time to keep going.
✨🌲🌿witchy follow train!🌿🌲✨
i am coming back to tumblr as my discontent with meta grows on the daily. with the shifting seasons picking up speed, i am doing a bit of spring cleaning of who i follow and am also looking to follow more like minded and active folks here on tumblr as my dash is a bit dead these days. here's what i'm looking for: 🌸 witchcraft - especially green, hearth, and kitchen witchery. 🌸 paganism - i work with near exclusively the norse gods but i am always interested in learning about other people's practices concerning deity and spirit worship. 🌸 herbalism - as a clinical herbalism student, i love to connect with folks who study and incorporate herbs into their lives whether in magical or strictly medicinal ways. 🌸 art of all kinds tickle my fancy, i love to support smaller artists. 🌸 nature photos - my blog is a bit of a nature moodboard at times 🌸 positive mental health perspectives - i think we could all use a bit of a boost in these times, i love to see people sharing coping skills, shadow work practices and hot therapy takes. 🌸 humor - in the same realm as above, we all need a laugh. if you post any or all of the above, please reblog this post so i can look through the notes and follow you! and take this as an opportunity to find other blogs who might post things you like, too. let's build some community!!!

Broke Witch Tip #13/Broom Closet Witch Tip #2
Soap Cycling
Get yourself a regular reusable soap dispenser typical for hand washing and whatever refillable soaps you prefer.
Each time you refill you can add your own essential oils and skin safe herbs and spices (or make a tincture/tea out of them before adding so people don't see floating herbs). Whatever you want to have more of in the home for the family or whatever energies you want to stay is your aim when adding the mixture.
For example: orange and coconut essential oils to protect what happiness we have and sea salt to cleanse unwanted energies. Mix it into your refill bottle and done. You have a reusable, easily accessible discreet spell

I have found Tea blends have been a big part of my herbal collection. Cheap, easy to find, and good for a closeted witch.
100 Witchcraft Tips in 100 Days!
Day 1 - Choosing the right herbs for your magical practice
Tumblr media
As chosen by my followers here's 100 Witchcraft Tips in 100 Days; starting off with herbal witchcraft! Herbal witchcraft is a very simple, easy way to start your practice after mastering the basics. It can also be a fun, exciting, and budget friendly way to practice magic in a discreet manner for those who can't practice openly.
1. Start with Common Kitchen Herbs
When starting to work with various herbs it's best to start with those easily accessible and familiar to you. You can start with common kitchen herbs like rosemary, basil, mint, thyme, bay leaf, or any other kinds you have in your kitchen cabinet.
2. Choose Herbs That Resonate with Your Intentions
Herbs are a potent tool in spells and recipes. When choosing herbs, it's important to consider what you want to achieve and select herbs that align with those intentions. If your looking for protection rosemary and bay leaf are known for their protective and purifying qualities. For abundance cinnamon, basil, and clover are used to attract wealth and success.
3. Research Herb Safety and Usage
Before you go incorporating herbs into your practice, its very important to understand if they're safe and their proper uses. Some herbs can be toxic if ingested in large amounts or may cause allergic reactions. It's important to consult reliable sources or books on herbs to learn more about the herb before using it. If you're using herbs on your skin do a patch test to ensure you don't have an adverse reaction. Also make sure you're not using toxic herbs such as belladonna or foxglove.
4. Start Small and Experiment
It can be rather easy to get overwhelmed by the wide variety of herbs available to you. Make sure you start with a small collection that seems manageable and start to experiment with them. It's best to start with a few versatile herbs to see how they work. Then gradually expand your collection as you become more comfortable with using them. Make sure to keep a journal and document your experiments and how each herb affects your spells or rituals.
5. Grow Your Own Herbs
If you have the space, growing your own herbs can be a fantastic way to grow closer to your craft. Growing your own herbs makes sure you always have fresh, high quality herbs and also deepens your connect with the plants. If you're gardening indoors or don't have enough space outside use window boxes or small pots to grow your herbs. If you have the space outdoors start a garden filled with plants like rosemary, thyme, and mint that grow well outside. Don't forget to harvest your herbs regularly to encourage healthy growth and ensure a steady supply for your practice.

Simple Ways to Practice Magick Everyday
Tumblr media
Say a small prayer or do a short meditation before you get out of bed in the morning.
Write down dreams or visions you had.
Stir your first cup of coffee or tea counterclockwise to banish negativity and bad luck or clockwise to bring positive energy.
Draw daily tarot or oracle cards (you can also use a pendulum) for guidance.
Cleansing yourself and home using sound or smoke.
Ancestor or spirit offerings
Pick out your clothes, shoes, jewelry... ect with intention.
Write a sigil or petition paper and burn it.
Take a ritual shower. You can spice it up with candles, herbs, and crystals, or you can simply step under the water and imagine all the negativity and bad energy washing off you. You can also recite a chant.
Every time you look into the mirror, say an affirmation
Take a walk outside and ground yourself to Mother Earth.
Dance!! Dancing is an excellent way to rise the energy, and it helps with opening the sacral and solar plexus chakra and getting in touch with the inner child.

Strawberry Moon - June 21, 2024
Tumblr media
Grab your baskets and your moon jars, witches - it's time for the Strawberry Moon!
Strawberry Moon 🍓
The Strawberry Moon is the name given to the full moon which occurs in the month of June in the Northern Hemisphere. The name is taken from the ripening of those little red heart-shaped berries we find in so many summertime treats. Strawberries are typically ready to harvest beginning around the summer solstice, though this will vary depending on variety, planting times, and local weather. Sadly, the Strawberry Moon does not turn red or pink to match the berries.
Other European names for this moon include Honey Moon, Rose Moon, and Mead Moon. North American Indigenous names for the June moon include Blooming Moon (Anishinaabe), Green Corn Moon (Cherokee), and Hatching Moon (Cree).
This year's Strawberry Moon also roughly coincides with the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, with peak illumination occurring at 9:08pm EST on June 21st. (The solstice is occurring one day prior, on June 20th.)
What Does It Mean For Witches? 🍓
Full moons are excellent times for bringing wishes to fulfillment and plans to fruition, all the more so under one named after a prolific berry. This is an optimal time to make things happen!
Your intuition may be stronger than usual during this time, so pay attention to those little inklings and gut feelings that won't be ignored. They might be telling you something important. Dreams may also be more vivid, though not necessarily more accurate or revealing.
This is a time to explore things that catch your attention or pique your curiosity, and to let yourself be open to new ideas and new opportunities.
What Witchy Things Can We Do? 🍓
With a full moon ripening in the sky and the summer solstice upon us, it's time to prepare for a full bloom. Here's hoping you've been nurturing those plans and seeds of growth you planted in the spring, because they're about to start flowering and the way is clear to sow the next stage of your plans. What they will be and what new prospects the summer will bring is entirely up to you.
The full moon is always a good time to look ahead to the future. Think on the plans you have in process and let yourself dream of how things might turn out. If you're inclined to journaling, make a note of how things are going so far and how you hope they'll turn out. Pick your favorite divination method and do a reading for the month ahead. (Make sure you write that down too so you can check back later!)
This is a great time to go berry-picking or flower-gathering, so check your area for pick-your-own farms or farmer's markets with local produce. Have a picnic with friends or just enjoy a quiet afternoon with your own thoughts and a few favorite treats. Make a jar of sun tea or a sweet and summery berry salad. If you're partial to strawberries, indulge that sweet tooth!
Strawberries are also excellent ingredient in spells for love, beauty, fertility, and emotional healing. Create a charm for self-love or perhaps to attract a summer romance. Enchant your favorite makeup or skin care products with a glamour of confidence. Just as expectant mothers once carried strawberry leaves as a folk remedy for pregnancy pains, you can carry a clutch of them in your pocket to help heal a broken heart or assuage the pain of grief. A packet of strawberry leaves is also a potent good-luck charm. Snack on strawberries to bring fertile abundance into your life, whether you're looking for creativity or opportunity or perhaps hoping to grow your family this year.
Charge your crystals and spell jars and moon water under the light of Strawberry Moon to catch the energy of blooming flowers, ripening fruit, wishes coming true, and carefully-laid plans realized. (If you're planning to use it for any consumables, please make sure you're using fresh, potable drinking water rather than rain or runoff.)
Spend a little time reflecting on how your year has gone thus far. Try to focus on the things that have improved and how you've grown as a person and in your life journey. Reflect on your accomplishments and what you plan to do next. Take a moment to be unashamedly proud of yourself for everything you've done and for making it this far despite everything life throws at you.
Happy Strawberry Moon, witches! 🌕🍓

Note
do you know of any weight loss / metabolism boosting spell/spell jars? i've been trying to lose weight for a year now, and i really need a boost. i don't need a miracle worker, just something to put out into the universe that is something i desire and have been working towards. blessed be! :)
Hello darling 🥰
Thank you for reaching out to me, and I hope you’re proud of all the wonderful work you’ve already put in!
While, of course, there is no substitute for a healthy diet and exercise, I understand that sometimes we need a little extra help from the universe to reach our goals.
Before I start yammering on, I hope you don’t need reminding that our worth is never determined by our physical embodiment, but what this beautiful temple holds within it. Of course, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t treat our bodies with the respect and kindness they deserve, so here we go ✨
Here is a simple spell jar recipe that you can try to help boost your metabolism and aid in your weight loss journey:
____
✨🫙 Metabolism Boosting Spell Jar 🫙✨
Ingredients:
1. A small jar with a lid
2. Dried ginger - increases energy, strength, and confidence. It is also commonly used in herbal medicine to aid digestion, reduce inflammation, and boost the immune system.
3. Dried red pepper flakes - for motivation, courage, and passion, red pepper flakes are believed to bring fiery energy and vitality to a spell. They are also known to have numerous health benefits, including boosting.
4. Dried dandelion root - wish fulfillment and manifestation. Also a powerful diuretic that can aid in weight loss by helping the body eliminate excess fluids. It is also commonly used in herbal medicine to support liver health and digestion.
5. Dried cinnamon - for love, success, and prosperity. It is also believed to have numerous health benefits, including regulating blood sugar levels, reducing inflammation, and boosting brain function.
(Feel free to alter as you see fits - based on your preferences or accessibility)
Instructions:
1. Begin by cleansing your jar by rinsing it with saltwater or leaving it in the light of the full moon for a night.
2. Add a tablespoon of each herb into the jar, visualizing yourself reaching your weight loss goals as you add each ingredient.
3. Close the jar and seal it with the wax of a green candle - a symbol of health. You can also use any other color that resonates with you.
4. Hold the jar in both hands and visualize the energy of the herbs filling the jar and flowing into your body, boosting your metabolism and aiding in weight loss.
5. Place the jar on your altar or another safe space in your home.
I would also recommend focusing on positive affirmations and visualization during your weight loss journey. Try visualizing yourself at your ideal weight, feeling confident and healthy. Repeat affirmations to yourself such as "I am strong and capable of achieving my weight loss goals" or "I release excess weight with ease and joy."
Remember to approach this spell with a positive mindset and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. A spell can be a great tool, but it is not a substitute for hard work and dedication.
And once again, remember to always treat yourself and your body with kindness on your journey towards your health goals. Your worth is not determined by your weight or size, and your body deserves love and care no matter what. Incorporating positive affirmations and self-love rituals into your routine can help shift your mindset towards a more positive and empowering perspective. Focus on nourishing your body with healthy and balanced meals, practicing movement that feels good for you, and celebrating your progress no matter how small.
I hope this helps you on your weight loss journey 💕 Best of luck to you!

Got myself a resin mold for a witches runes set. Happy with how they turned out, but I think I’m still partial to my wood burned set. But I’m definitely going to play around with it and experiment with different colors and such.

Sigil work this week
I decided I needed to cleanse and sigil my home. There has been a lot of unwanted energy in my home lately. So I made up a sigil to paint on the windows and mirrors of my home. I will redo it all when I charge the wards on my bday. But for now, I did a good cleansing, drew my sigils and lit a candle and burned a paper copy.

I like this idea, I make pre-mixed tea blends, I should add this too.
Broke Witch Tip #9
Reuse those seasoning containers. Yes you can use them to do your own premixed seasonings but you can also do some premixed spell ingredients as well. I use mine for both. With the spell ones I put a label all around with tape with the spell written out and supporting sigil and even some slight reapplication of spell instructions. Either way, you can use them. Witch or not, everyone can use them.
Combined with Broke Witch Tip #7, you can also reuse them when you dry your own herbs.

Wild Flower Growth Spell
A spell I've been working on to help free my mind and allow my imagination to grow. You will want to take note of where you are performing this spell. Do some research and make sure that you are not adding anything invasive or harmful to your ecosystem.
(page from my BOS)
Tumblr media
Wild place seeds, please free my mind.
Let no boundaries tie or bind.
Let dreams surface with your flight.
Let them soar unto new heights.
And as you find the earth, so sweet.
And root and sprout, bud and leaf.
My imagination, too shall grow,.
As I will it, shall it be so.

IDK who needs to hear this but if there's something in your life that makes you feel better, but you never stick to it,
it's still actually perfectly fine to do it
and you shouldn't stop yourself from starting just because it won't be a permanent change.
Like if starting a new daily planner gives you an amazing afternoon of planning and four days where you feel in charge of your life,
why not do it?
It doesn't matter that it won't be a permanent change - 4 good days is still worth it.
If you ever catch yourself thinking, "I wish I could pray/stretch/prep/plan/do the thing, but I always get started on that and it never lasts more than a couple of days,"
what this really means is, "hey, I can feel better for a couple of days."
if this post is making you think of things in your own life that you wish you could stick to because of how good they make you feel,
just be aware:
you're not thinking of a list of ways you've failed to commit
you're thinking of a list of things that make you happy, and you should give yourself permission to start doing them as often as you want to
