I've decided I might have to discontinue with finishing Electric Indigo...

I started it 3 and a half years ago and while I absolutely have loved writing it, I'm not sure how to end it and perhaps it hasn't quite got to the way I planned I guess?

Also I don't think anyone is really interested in it anymore and perhaps I might need to make way for writing new Sastiel content that might be more worth my time...

It doesn't help though that I have been doing a teaching degree and I am nearly qualified so I have had to take away focus from my fanfic writing to concentrate on my coursework and finishing deadlines so that's partly what hasn't helped.

Nevertheless, I'm planning to write more Sastiel fanfics, but perhaps I'll have to give up on Electric Indigo for now.

Perhaps I could do with a new idea? I'll figure a new story idea out hopefully soon!

Coming up to 3 years ago, I posted the first chapter of this Sam x Castiel fanfic story...

and since then, I am yet to post the next chapter.

I have been thinking a lot about catching up with this story and publishing the next chapter fairly soon. I still stand by this idea and am adamant on finishing it one day as the idea really interests me and I love the 80's so it's partly why the story is set in that time period. But also - Sam, Dean and Cas being cops? Why the hell not?

Just as a gentle reminder considering how long it has been, this is the story's basic premise:

The year is 1989. Sam Winchester is a detective for the Chicago PD whose whole life is the job. He is socially inept and seriously damaged from the pain of losing both his parents. Broken but stubborn, he refuses to let almost anyone become close to him again. But when he’s forced to have a partner after screwing up a lead in the biggest case of his life, he has no choice but to work alongside Castiel, another detective who turns his whole life upside down. Unable to escape from his charm and good natured self, Sam feels he’s been punished. But is it really hate that he feels for this man, or is he feeling something else that he hasn’t felt in years?

Chapter 15. Ecstasy pt III

Chapter summary: the final part of this 3 part section.

Cas has now reached a point of refusing to turn back on the matter. As far as he is concerned, Sam could do whatever he wanted to him and submit to him completely.

They finally consummate after all the flirting and negotiating.

Um, so I haven't really properly published this level of sexual content before now, so it would be really good to know if I have written it well, or if it's just terribly cringey and bad.

This was awkward for me to write because I get so silly about sex despite being a 28 year fucking old, but yeah. Maybe it's the British in me idk but I get so prude about it!

Anyways... this has been a long time overdue and nearly a year again since I updated this story so I really hope this was well worth the wait. Please comment and share this story if you have really enjoyed it so far!

A little update on Electric Indigo...

It looks like the story is finally coming to an end and will likely have 4 more chapters before the ending. I have caught up a lot recently and have 3 chapters in the works so yay for that!

In case you never knew about it, it was an AU Sastiel story which involved a love at first sight scenario where Castiel meets Sam at a nightclub and passion ensues. Not before all the fluffy awkwardness though 🤣

It's a fun story with plenty of meet cute scenarios, eating at a diner cafe, a walk through Central Park, Castiel’s best friend (OFC) Tracey getting to know Dean (implied relationship) and both Sam and Cas trying to play it cool the entire time with only some success. All of this happening in one night!

The aftermath of the night is coming... and also more smut in all honesty. It is my first fanfic where I have properly written smut and published it. I get cringe about it but I know that if I can't write it at least somewhat well, then I will always find it awkward.

Summary: Their passion ensues. Following on from the previous chapter.

A/N: Wowwee so holy shit it has been a year and a half guysss I am so so sorry it has been so damn long!! I don't really have an excuse except life really got in the way and I got so stuck on how I would continue this story and how many chapters I was going to write. I am still figuring this out in all honesty but I know that it won't just be about the night they have met, but the aftermath and then some too. I can't say it will all be roses and fairies (despite mostly being so in this story), but I never intended this story to be too angsty. However, I love angst so I certainly intend that for other Sastiel fanfics.

Reminder of the original intial synopsis of whole story:

Castiel Novak is a freelance writer living in Manhattan with his best friend Tracey (OFC). While in his mid-twenties, he has high hopes and dreams to finish his first novel and travel the world. Introverted and uninterested in meeting people, he stays in most nights. One night however, Tracey insists that she must go out and drags him to their local eighties-esque nightclub. Incidentally he meets Sam Winchester like a gift from heaven, the most gorgeous man he has ever laid his eyes on. What is he going to do?

Side story: Sam happens to also have an older brother named Dean who Tracey insists on toying with until she realises that he might be more important to her than any old fling that she's had before.

Chapter 12 - Serenity (available now)

summary - While trying to enjoy his time with Sam in his apartment and a simple rewatch of one of his favourite films of all time, the night soon takes a different turn that leaves Castiel utterly bewildered.

Castiel was not the most people person in the world, but he knew the signals. He knew how to charm someone. Perhaps he gave off the impression that he didn’t have much confidence, but really he just didn’t have an interest in making the effort to appear confident. Sure, he was nervous when Sam approached him and things got heated in the club, but that was due to anxiety and how he had forgotten how it felt to be this close to someone. He soon discovered though that just Sam and him alone was much easier to handle than the crowds of people in the club.

Chapter 11 - Modesty

This was the moment where it would all change from now on. Sam had no idea what to expect, but he could feel his confidence begin to slip away the moment he stepped into new territory. He was struggling to maintain his composure in front of the man whose opinion had now become the most important one in the whole universe. How small he had come to feel in his presence compared to how he felt at the beginning of the night.

Chapter 10 - Admiration

Sam was in awe of how beautiful Central Park was at night. He had no idea that he was going to experience a place with such rich surroundings, nor a place that felt magical within its presence. He wondered if the park would be as interesting as this in the daytime.

The last time he was surprised by a place like this was when he first entered the grand halls of Stanford. When he first started at college he had no idea what to expect. And tonight he was experiencing that exact same feelings of transcendence and amazement. He never thought the night that he was having in that moment was ever something that he would encounter, let alone actually want. But being there amongst the wonderful scenery, the moonlight, and on top of all that, sharing the experience with an amazing company, it was truly remarkable. He felt like God must have had something to do with it.

For any Sastiel fans who might be interested to know...

I'm sorry for not having it together recently with the whole writing Sastiel fanfiction thing - life got in the way and stuffs soooo now I'm trying to play catch up.

Regarding Electric Indigo, I am currently writing chapter 10 which should be up very very soon (tomorrow hopefully). For anyone who got behind reading it, there is chapter 8 and 9!! (I know a couple of you might not had read it because you were beautiful commenting people ❤️)

It is coming along quite well I think!

Now, with Straight Back Down To Earth - it is has been my baby for years that I have carefully nurtured and nourished and honestly... I've actually become afraid to release all of it in case you don't like it 😅🙈

I really believe it has the potential to be a really great story if you stick around for it. I'm asking you guys to please be patient because honest to god chapter 2 has been difficult as hell to get exactly right, whereas chapter 3 is basically done lol so it's been written with gaps at the moment. Please bare with me and I swear, it should be decent!

Lastly, I've been aiming to write more but of course I don't want to start writing anymore stories when I already have two ongoing ones. However - I still have great ideas...

The Wilhelm Scream - Technically this one actually has its first chapter that I wrote years ago. Again, it's a novella type story (I don't go in half-assed) and it's a canon divergent story really. It's a what if Castiel had fallen from Heaven because of rebellion, because he was assigned to watch over Sam and Dean, but basically the rest of it would go along the same lines, but with Cas there from season 1 instead of season 4 essentially. Oh, and there's a chance he's in love with Sam before he actually officially meets him. And Gabriel is with him constantly.

The navy au one where Sam is a newly recruited seaman and Cas is a captain of the ship. Potentially set in WWII time or a couple years after and obviously homosexuality was illegal at the time but you know, it's the whole forbidden love and passion type story that we can all enjoy.

Castiel was having the best night of his life. He was being twirled around on the dancefloor, being held close by an amazing man of whom he was still struggling to accept was real. He wondered momentarily if this would only be perfect tonight, and tomorrow he would be gone. He was afraid that this could end up being all this ever is.

One night. Like Cinderella. But she did get her prince in the end.  

 He looked at Sam and Sam looked at him. It felt so genuine that Castiel doubted anyone could look at him the way Sam did and for it not to mean anything. Maybe Sam was just a player and did the same routine with every guy he found attractive. But Cas wanted to not think about   it and enjoy the time they did have.

They were now standing by the bar again like before, the time getting toward the midnight mark. Sam was now whispering in his ear something funny that Cas hadn’t expected.
