Say U Say Bin - ROUND 1 PROMPT ADOPTION

Hello everyone~ The susb team hopes that everyone has been having a great year so far full of lovely moments and a lot of inspiration and motivation for writing and keeping the vixx ficdom alive <3. After such a long time and pondering, we are happy to welcome you back and introduce an idea we hoped you will all find interest in : Prompt adoption!

What does Prompt Adoption consist of?

With the help of many people who were eager to have Say U Say Bin be a success and for writers to find ideas that could ignite their creativity, in the first round  we were able to gather a total of 53 prompts from which 9 of them have been used by our writers to create beautiful worlds and story lines.

Yet there are so many left unwritten and we thought- Why waste ideas with so much potential? This is the main reason we decided to introduce Prompt adoption! This is a chance for all those fragmented ideas would have a chance to become so much more.

Who can adopt ?

Maybe a prompt caught your attention but you weren't able to take part of the ficfest? or perhaps you only found about it now- well, all that matters is that now it's your chance to help all these ideas bloom and give them a home in the form of a lovely story <3

-SUSB participants that wanted a go at another prompt but didn't get to write due to time constraints.

-SUSB participants who had to sadly drop out of the fest but still had a lot of progress on their prompts. [please if you fall into this category DM us immediately because all prompts have been put up back again for grabbing]

-People who just found out regarding the fic fest just now or who always wanted to join but couldn’t because of missing the claiming period.

-VIXX writers in general.

-Anyone who is serious enough to not neglect the prompt is more than welcome to adopt :3.

Rules and Guidelines

If you are interested in adopting then please follow these simple rules before you decide to claim a prompt from our archive ^^

-Saw a prompt that you liked and want to know if it’s available? The legend still remains the same, meaning that all prompts in white are unclaimed but there has been a minor change:

-Prompts in lavender are claimed during adoption process

-Prompts in dark fuchsia have already been posted

-You checked through the Google Sheets file and now are sure that you want one of the prompts? Send us an email or tell us through DMs on twitter and we will link you to a form you need to fill in with the necessary requirements.

-Once you have adopted a prompt you now have to write it! Should be easy :3 you don’t need to check in with us BUT you have to let us know when you are done with your work so that you can add it to the SUSB adoption round collection ^^

-You don’t have to stay anonymous and you don’t have to worry about reveals or the like, post your work the moment you are entirely done and we will promote it for you in the fic fest’s account.

-Mods are open to questions, helping you out if you feel like you have hit a wall and can’t move on and whatnot--we really love these prompts and we want to do our best to help see them become beautiful stories.

The prompt archive will be open ONLY for the next 3 months [that is, until round 2 officially starts at some moment in July :3 if all goes according as planned]  time in which you have to finish and post your work. If not, we'll assume the prompt was dropped and it'll then be part of  the second round.

-The fic fest’s rules still apply [no non-con/dub-con, underage, extreme gore and all other prohibitions we specified when we started this round]

-Please don’t forget to keep in mind the prompters likes/dislikes specifications so read through the prompts carefully before claiming.

Hello everyone!

The SUSB team has gathered once again to thank each and every one of the talented writers which participated in this fic fest solely dedicated to our sweet and loveable Hongbin.

We can't express our gratitude for the beautiful works you guys have made and we are really happy to have been able to count with you all for this round, it couldn't have been possible without everyone who has been involved with this fic fest:writers, prompters, readers and everyone who helped spread the word and was eagerly waiting for the release of the fics <3

Summary: Hongbin tries to mask his underlying misery with dull familiarity, drinking at the same damn bar of his regular nightclub every week in order to sense the faintest feigned feeling of happiness, with little success.

But it only takes a captivating stranger who approaches him at said bar to change absolutely everything. And god, Cha Hakyeon might just be the best thing he’s ever tasted.

(Heavily inspired by the lyrics of ‘Love Me Do’.)

It has been a round filled with learning experiences since this was the first time we were running a fic fest and this has given us the knowdleged on how to run things better on the next round. Ups and downs and life happened but we are glad that this will help us in the future ^^

With this message we are drawing the first round of Say U Say Bin to a close-however, we aren't going to disappear until next round because a Prompt adoption post will be open so be on the lookout for that.

Say U Say Bin - Rules & Guidelines

♡Everyone can participate even if you don't normally write for VIXX! You are welcomed here ^^

♡Communication will be done either through DMs (so don't forget to follow @SayUSayBinfest on twitter!), curiouscat or via e-mail!

♡You must have an e-mail adress and an ao3 account! If you still don't have an ao3 account you can get an invitation here, so sign up to get your account if you don't have one yet!

♡Minimum word count for the check-in is 500W and for the final fic is 1500W! There is no maximum word limit so let your creativity take over!

♡Please do not send in any prompts that are non/dub con. They won't be accepted in this round (given the ocassion of this fic fest) and they won't be accepted in general.

♡You don't have to claim to send in your prompts! In fact, send them in! The more the better in this case ^^ especially with the schedules we have so do send them in!

Say U Say Bin - schedule

Hello! Read the following post for information regarding the 1st round of 'Say U Say Bin'

This first round will be a "flash" round (marathon round if you'd like to refer to it as that), the reason for this is mainly because Hongbin's birthday is coming soon and we would like to celebrate by uploading many fics for him (with your help) on his birthday or the days after since we can also understand you may have personal projects for this day as well.

Upcoming rounds of Say U Say Bin will be managed with more time (if we hold other rounds)

Without further ado, here is the schedule!

Prompting:

Starts: August 18th 0:00 KST

Ends: August 25th 0:00 KST

During this week is when you will get to submit your prompts! There is not a prompt limit and you can submit the prompts that you would like as long as they are Hongbin-centric. Remember that there is a chance that not every prompt may get filled and that you are free to prompt even if you don't plan on claiming!

Prompts are to be submitted through Google forms OR curiouscat and they will get gathered and organized!

Claiming

Starts: August 25th 12:00 KST

Ends: August 30th 12:00 KST

You have this period of time to claim the prompt that you are interested in! The claiming will be done through Google forms and will be first come first serve, because of this we ask of you to choose 2 or 3 prompts yet we will do our best to give you the prompt of your choice! Yet in case we can't--please do have a backup option!

Drop out deadline: September, 7th

We understand that due to the sudden announcement of this fest your schedules may clash so because of this very reason you have until this day to let us know if you are still on-board or if you have to drop out! Please inform us with a DM on twitter or an e-mail!

1st check in: September, 16th 0:00 KST

We hope that you have made time to write for this fic fest! By this time we would like to hear of your progress and so we ask for you to e-mail us on this day with a word or a google doc link with at least 500W! We can grant an extension of up to 3 or 4 days but please do check-in!

Final submission: October 1st

This is when you send in and upload your work( at a min word count of 1500W) to the Say U Say Bin collection that will be opened on ao3! ^^ a few days after Hongbin's birthday has been chosen as an ideal date so that if you have personal projects for his day you can calmly post them!

Posting: October 4th 12:00 KST to TBA

This is the time where posting starts anonymously on ao3! It starts on this day and it will be decided depending on how many works we have ^^

Reveals: TBA

This information will be released later once we have a clearer idea regarding of how many works we will have (reveals will be done after all fics have been finished posting)

Welcome to 'Say U Say Bin' fic fest!

Hello everyone! It is a pleasure to welcome you to 'Say U Say Bin'! This is a fic fest for VIXX's one and only ray of sunshine, Lee Hongbin!

Since we think we need more VIXX fics around (and especiall Hongbin ones) we decided to create this in hopes writers and Hongbin stans can enjoy this to the fullest!

 The format of this fic fest will be "prompt & claim". Anyone can send in prompts via a Google Form or on curiouscat following a format that will be provided when prompting is open, all prompts will be then gathered and posted for claiming! (You can write a prompt even if you are not going to claim later AND you can claim one even if you didn't send in a prompt). And posting will be done on an ao3 collection!

Communication is done via e-mail but you can send in your questions through curiouscat or directly DM us on Twitter for a faster reply!

This first round of 'Say U Say Bin' is a flash round because it aims to begin posting either on Hongbin's birthday or shortly after! Following rounds will have more time (if we hold new ones ^^)
