Hello intoxicating family! 

We would like to greet you and first of all, apologize for having forgotten to post this announcement here--we have really been busy figuring out solutions to some setbacks that arose and which caused us to delay the posting. So through Twitter we called for new writers due to an emergency and thanks to that, we have been able to extend the deadline!

If you have already finished your work(s) then you can follow the instructions that were sent in the last mass e-mail we have sent. In the case you haven't been getting our e-mails, please, send us an e-mail to: intoxicatingficfestmod@gmail.com

We will send you the posting e-mail instructions once again ♡ do also let us know of your status so that we can plan our posting schedule accordingly beforehand!

HEART IS TAEKEN ACT 2 / round cancelled

Hello everyone, it is really saddening to be writing to you in an ocassion like the present one, but for reasons outside our control we are going to cancel the second round of Heart Is Taeken for the meantime.

The reason behind this decision was reached after the mod team talked about the whole issue at hand and we decided that it was best to cancel this round. The claims for this round were minimal in comparison to last year (even if we ended up with around 10 fics by the end, we kicked off with 18 claims) this year the number of claims was really low--we only had around 5 claims and that wasn't enough to kick off this round.

So we are cancelling this round because we are unsure whether the issue has to do with the prompts in general or lack of time for writing. However, prompts will be given as a thank you to the ones who had the intention to claim and be part of this round. An e-mail will be sent to you with the prompt you would have got for this round.

As for another round of Heart is Taeken happening soon, we aren't sure if one will take place this year. But we do hope that next time, it can actually start ^^♡

We apologize for any inconvenience and for not being able to go through with this round ;;

Round 1 - Prompting

Here are the prompting rules for Round 1 -

1. Please keep in mind that all pairings must be Jaehwan-centric or must have him as the main character.

2. Pairings that are accepted - Jaehwan x VIXX Member(s), Jaehwan x Kpop idol(s), Jaehwan x Reader, Jaehwan x OC or Jaehwan-centric prompts.

3. Prompts can be in the form the general plot, quotes, songs etc. In whichever form, please be as concise as possible without giving away the entire plot.

4. The form for prompting also contains a section to include things that are nice to have in the fic and absolute no-nos. Please include anything triggering you wish to avoid so the author knows to avoid it! 

5. There is no restriction on number of prompts. The more the merrier! However you will have to fill out the form multiple times since it accepts one prompt per entry.

6. Prompts that contain any of these topics won’t be accepted: non-con/dub-con/extreme gore/incest/extreme kinks/underage

Say U Say Bin - ROUND 1 PROMPT ADOPTION

Hello everyone~ The susb team hopes that everyone has been having a great year so far full of lovely moments and a lot of inspiration and motivation for writing and keeping the vixx ficdom alive <3. After such a long time and pondering, we are happy to welcome you back and introduce an idea we hoped you will all find interest in : Prompt adoption!

What does Prompt Adoption consist of?

With the help of many people who were eager to have Say U Say Bin be a success and for writers to find ideas that could ignite their creativity, in the first round  we were able to gather a total of 53 prompts from which 9 of them have been used by our writers to create beautiful worlds and story lines.

Yet there are so many left unwritten and we thought- Why waste ideas with so much potential? This is the main reason we decided to introduce Prompt adoption! This is a chance for all those fragmented ideas would have a chance to become so much more.

Who can adopt ?

Maybe a prompt caught your attention but you weren't able to take part of the ficfest? or perhaps you only found about it now- well, all that matters is that now it's your chance to help all these ideas bloom and give them a home in the form of a lovely story <3

-SUSB participants that wanted a go at another prompt but didn't get to write due to time constraints.

-SUSB participants who had to sadly drop out of the fest but still had a lot of progress on their prompts. [please if you fall into this category DM us immediately because all prompts have been put up back again for grabbing]

-People who just found out regarding the fic fest just now or who always wanted to join but couldn’t because of missing the claiming period.

-VIXX writers in general.

-Anyone who is serious enough to not neglect the prompt is more than welcome to adopt :3.

Rules and Guidelines

If you are interested in adopting then please follow these simple rules before you decide to claim a prompt from our archive ^^

-Saw a prompt that you liked and want to know if it’s available? The legend still remains the same, meaning that all prompts in white are unclaimed but there has been a minor change:

-Prompts in lavender are claimed during adoption process

-Prompts in dark fuchsia have already been posted

-You checked through the Google Sheets file and now are sure that you want one of the prompts? Send us an email or tell us through DMs on twitter and we will link you to a form you need to fill in with the necessary requirements.

-Once you have adopted a prompt you now have to write it! Should be easy :3 you don’t need to check in with us BUT you have to let us know when you are done with your work so that you can add it to the SUSB adoption round collection ^^

-You don’t have to stay anonymous and you don’t have to worry about reveals or the like, post your work the moment you are entirely done and we will promote it for you in the fic fest’s account.

-Mods are open to questions, helping you out if you feel like you have hit a wall and can’t move on and whatnot--we really love these prompts and we want to do our best to help see them become beautiful stories.

Hey, hi hello, it’s your local chabin lover reporting back on tumblr. Wow it’s been a while hasn’t it? This year has been quite crazy and different in many ways.

First of all, I would like to apologize for my lack of activity this year. There have been far too many things in my mind, a lot of situations that were totally unforeseen and which I couldn’t help but let myself just... get drowned by the weight of them. From financial to psychologica to things that escape from my power.

It’s been insane, a lot of my will to do what I love just left me and at times it has been a fight to just function normally, do the things I’m supposed to do to survive the day to day. That’s why there has been a lack of updates, lack of hearing from me. It’s even been difficult to socialize on the regular like I would.

As for wips, I have as usual far too many, some that are more important than others due to their nature (I don’t only mean chaptered stuff here but stuff that I NEED to do and which I actually need to apologize for, but I will directly explain things)

I have not dropped any of my chaptered, just wanted to say that. in fact, I am not planning to. I have way too many ideas that have vixx as protagonists so don’t worry. I’m still going to write for them.

However, I have got into:

-Monsta X

-Oneus

-Stray kids

So eventually you may see me trying my hand at writing stuff about them.

I also participated in a fic fest like a month ago or so? Was a Oneus fic fest, was to try to get myself into a writing mood (NOT to slack off, I just needed to get myself writing, I milkdly succeeded I would say) will share that too.

I don’t know what else to say other than sorry for the lack of updates and that I am trying. Trust me, I somehow am trying.

Introduction and Timeline!

Hello! We are glad to announce the Sekoret Night Fic Fest has officially begun! There’s been a sad lack of fests in VIXX fandom for a while, so what better way to pick them back up than with one centered around our very own cute main vocal!

This fest is open to anybody regardless of experience! Just a place to have fun and support writers in our community. (Click ‘keep reading’ for more details.)

Timeline:

♡ Sign up/prompting: Jan. 7 - 14

During this prompting period, participants can submit as many prompts as they wish! There is no guarantee your prompt will be picked, but the more the merrier!

♡ Claiming: Jan. 15 - 25

This is the period for participants to select which prompts they’d like to fill. When you see one you like, you should fill out the sign-up form that will become available as prompts will be given on a first come, first serve basis. You will be asked for a top 3 in order to best avoid all of your choices being taken, but if this happens, you will be notified so you can pick another. At the end of claiming all participants will receive a confirmation e-mail, so be sure to check and reply accordingly!

♡ Check-in: Feb. 26

At this point, each participant should send a minimum of 750 words to ensure you are on track. This is a month after claiming ends and the Monday before the drop-out deadline. Failure to communicate will result in an assumed withdrawal. If an extension is needed, it can be granted on a case-by-case basis (ex.: cannot submit check-in for a day or two because of work or school obligations).

♡ Drop-out deadline: Mar. 2

If you cannot complete your piece by the deadline, speak now!

♡ Final deadline: Apr. 2

After a little over 2 months, this is the final day to submit your minimum of 1,500 words (no max) of Ken love! Policy for extensions will be the same as for the check-in.

Just in time for Ken’s birthday, fics will be posted anonymously with their corresponding prompts!

Heart is Taeken act 2 - Prompting begins!

Welcome to Heart is Taeken Act 2! This post marks the beginning of the prompting stage that is officially on-going from today until the end of July. We are really happy to have you as part of this process but before you send in your prompts, please do read carefully over the guidelines for this! Some rules still remain the same as last year but we have introduced some themes to the prompting form in order to spice up this year’s fest. 

  We have come up with a total of five themes that you can prompt for in addition to any prompt that you feel like sending us!

THEMES

-ROYALTY-

There is nothing like a royalty AU, you can go from Korean royalty to westernized ones or fairytale like. Mix in some tropes or other settings and tropes and we will be able to dive into these regal stories alongside with you and the writers.

-DARK ROMANCE-

Allure can always bring obsession in its hands - from all consuming love to tragic stories that lure you in so captivatingly that you just can’t go back, do delve into this genre if you want to inspire someone to tackle stories from these reigns.

-HISTORICAL-

The delight to go back in time and create a whole new universe where the course of history followed another flow is always prominent. From wars to revolutions and anything in between, prompt for this if you want to give someone an idea on how to tweak story at least for a brief moment in time.

-ART HISTORY-

It’s about Romanticism and more, let’s try to find important moments in the history of art and draw inspiration from them in order to create exquisite ideas, and who knows? It may be a masterpiece.

-FUTURISTIC-

There are worlds beyond our current time, some that we have always been drawn to due to the vivid imagination we all have that has made us crave to see what would the future be like. Utopias, androids, life outside our planet and anything along those lines can go here.

-FREE PROMPT-

Just like last year, let your imagination run wild! Anything that doesn’t fit the categories mentioned above can go here.

-GENERAL GUIDELINES-

-Please keep in mind that all pairings must be Taekwoon-centric or must have him as the main character.

-Prompts that contain any of these topics won’t be accepted: non-con/dub-con/extreme gore/incest/ extreme kinks/underage.

-Taekwoon/reader or Taekwoon/OC are not accepted this round. Taekwoon x non-vixx member is accepted however.

-Please don’t be vague, be concise enough but without writing out the whole plot of the fic in your prompt!

Claiming And Writing Rules

Here are the rules for claiming and writing!

Reminder - Claiming begins 17th June and ends on 23rd June

1. Every writer can claim one prompt. The claiming form will ask for 3 prompts in priority order in case of non availability of the first preference. 

2. Should you finish writing one prompt, you are free to claim another prompt after submitting the final draft of the prompt fill.

3. The minimum word count for the prompt fill is 1000 words. There is no maximum limit. Minimum count for mid way check in is 500 words. 

4. Multi chapter fics must have one chapter finished by the end of the writing round. Total word count across chapters must be 1000.

5. The prompter has chosen highest rating they are comfortable with. The writer can write content to any rating below or equal to said level that they are comfortable with. For example - prompter has chosen Explicit rating but prompt fill may be Teen and Up level in final draft.

6. Any content that is included in a strict no no column or going against the guidelines will not be accepted. All writers will be notified if this rule is violated at check in and final submissions with extended time to edit if they want to.

7. All writers must include at least one method of contact on their claiming form - open Twitter DMs, Tumblr with messaging on, CuriousCat or Email. 

8. Once the prompt claimed is communicated and finalized, the writer can begin writing immediately.

9. All writers will receive instructions for check in and submission details 10 days prior to each deadline. 

10. Reveal schedule will be communicated in advance to all authors who submit their final drafts by deadline. Till reveals, all works will remain anonymous.

11. As mentioned in the guidelines, all work will be posted in our AO3 collection. After reveals, the author is free to post on a platform of their choosing. 

12. In case a writer has to drop out at any stage, please inform the mods as soon as possible!

But it only takes a captivating stranger who approaches him at said bar to change absolutely everything. And god, Cha Hakyeon might just be the best thing he’s ever tasted.

It has been a round filled with learning experiences since this was the first time we were running a fic fest and this has given us the knowdleged on how to run things better on the next round. Ups and downs and life happened but we are glad that this will help us in the future ^^

With this message we are drawing the first round of Say U Say Bin to a close-however, we aren't going to disappear until next round because a Prompt adoption post will be open so be on the lookout for that.

INTOXICATING STAGE 1.5 // CLAIMING AND POSTING

CLAIMING

This time, claiming for Intoxicating will be somehow different. While in a way the process of this means getting a card with different prompts, it will also be done in a first come first serve manner. Keep on reading to find out why you need to be fast regarding the prompts you want to claim

-HOW WILL THE CARDS BE MADE?-

We want everyone to feel entirely happy with this round and to have at least 1 story that they really want to write, so you will definitely have a say in the way your card will be made. The claiming process will ensure that at least one of the prompts that you really like ends up in your hands. And who knows? maybe we give you your 3 options? The rest of the prompts in your bingo card will be entirely chosen randomly.

You will be getting in between one or three prompts of your choice and the rest of your card will be a total surprise! 

However, remember that the prompts you choose have to be from either Intoxicatingly sweet or Fully Intoxicating UNLESS you want to get the 4 x 4 All consuming Intoxication card. 

-HOW CAN I CLAIM A CARD?-

The claiming process will still be done through Google Sheets. You will have the usual fields you regularly fill out in a fic fest and an option to choose the type of card you want to claim. You will get your card after the claiming process closes so that we can create your personalized card.

The prompts will be coded on the prompts sheet, so copy either the prompt’s number or the prompt in full (just the prompt however, this way it’s easier to know that we didn’t get you an incorrect prompt)

-AM I ALLOWED TO EXCHANGE MY CARD?-

Since the cards are not fully randomized but built with your choices in mind, unless you want to change your “main prompt” then it is allowed. But only in an scenario like that OR if you have claimed the Hints of Intoxication card and want another word combo (you can change your card up to 3 times but only for this card) You are not allowed to exchange your card with another participant, however.

GENERAL CLAIMING GUIDELINES

-Don’t forget that if you are interested in any of the prompts you have to be fast because first come first serve for your card’s main prompt!

-You will need to wait a few days for your mail confirmation because we need to create everyone’s cards. So the waiting time will take a bit longer than last time.

-Can I claim if I didn’t send in a prompt? Yes, yes you are totally allowed to claim even if you didn’t take part in the prompting process.

-Please, do read carefully over your prompts, read the likes, dislikes and plus points! You have all the creative freedom for this but do consider anything triggering your prompter may have listed in their prompt.

-Can I claim a prompt I have submitted? Weeeeell, if you didn’t leave your e-mail in the prompt form and you are just dying to write your own prompt (it happens, we know it, we have all been there) nobody will ever know that you claimed your prompt so go ahead! (but remember it is fun to choose from the library <3)

-To all participants: do remember to tag your work accordingly! (rating, triggering topics and whatnot)

-Want to claim more than one card? If you have made bingo or finished at least 1 work in your card then you are free to request 1 more card (the situations in which this applies have been explained in the bingo information post)

 POSTING

Posting this time will be done far more freely than last time, you will submit your work to a collection which will be be moderated, however, it won’t be an anonymous one. That means that we won’t be doing reveals this one time around, we will be posting links to all of your works as we get them in the collection and they will be unveiled in a beautiful avalanche of nbin works (the time which unveiling will take place will be decided according to the number of works we have by the end of the fest)

As you know, the works you can post can go from short fics, oneshots to multi chaptered fics (you can finish this type of work even after the fest is done, so you can fill your square even by submitting only one chapter! This is to help the participants who are filling more than ONE square though)
