All the animals depicted fit into the Pride Flags they Represent In Real Life! Explanations under the cut:

Penguin and Lion: It is well documented that Penguins can form Same-Sex pairings. Lions have also been known to also form Same-Sex Pairs

Blandings Turtle: Many species of reptiles can change sex while in the egg based on temperature changes

Butterfly: Some Butterflies are intersex, where one side of the wings are and display as Male, and the other side as Female

Frog (Specifically Rama Clamitans here): Some Green Frogs can reverse their sex in the wild, usually as tadpoles.

Clownfish: Clownfish turn from Male to Female, often when the dominant female is removed

Whiptail Lizard: Whiptail Lizards can reproduce asexually, with the offspring being genetically diverse (not clones like Jellyfish for example)

Snail: Almost all Land Snails are hermaphroditic, and contain both sex organs

Elephants and Sheep: Both these animals have been documented to have partners from either sex; some ewes have been shown to have no gender preference
