Daft Punk - Get Lucky
After weeks of teasers and snippets the long awaited track from the dynamic French duo is here!  This track is absolute perfection.  It feels a little bit like history is repeating by including the legendary producer Nile Rodgers (Chic, Donna Summer, David Bowie).  Also the track gets more contemporary by adding yet another influential producer Pharrell Williams.  I would definitely love to hear more tracks from this collaboration. Looking forward to a tour and hoping for Daft to reach American soil!

Tame Impala - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards
So I heard a lot of buzz around this band and finally took the time to listen to their single. It's pretty great! They are playing a sold-out show at the Granada Theater very soon and I'm sure it's going to be a memorable one.

Matt and Kim - Let's Go
After another long hiatus I've returned! This track is fun and simple and that's what I love about it. Every now and then I need some basic bitch stuff you know what I mean? Jk. I'd love to see this track performed because I'm sure it's just an unabashed dance party!

Generationals - Spinoza
The Generationals are back with a new song and forthcoming album scheduled to be released in April.  I think I just adore anything these guys put out so you know I will be at Good Record that day to pick up my copy.  Just off of their recent showcase in the HBO series 'Girls' soundtrack, things are looking great for this New Orleans band.

Black Strobe - Boogie In Zero Gravity (Drop Out Orchestra Remix)
Happy Monday!  Heard yet another amazing track on Sirius Chill.  I could get by only listening to that channel.
I haven't taken the time to hear the original track but I'm enjoying this remix a lot!

Saint Lou Lou - Maybe You
Heyo! It's been a while.  Here's a track I found through a series of pages that I can't remember now. This reminds of an Uh Huh Her track.  I love female vocalist and this song is a winner. Also, this duo is currently unsigned. Hopefully they will make a visit to Dallas for a show in 2013.

Travis Barker feat. Yelawolf - Push Em
I really like the direction this collaboration is going.  Travis Barker has been part of some amazing projects and this sounds promising.  Great flows, pulsating bass, and killer drum sounds from this track.  Credit to the Jason Ellis Show on Sirius Faction for putting this on my radar.
Enjoy!

Dawes - Time Spent In Los Angeles
Heard this on Sirius XMU a while back and immediately fell in love.  It's got the perfect elements of a straight forward alternative rock song. Great lyrics and a wonderful composition. Enjoy!
Favorite lyrics from this song. "You've got that special kind of sadness, you've got that tragic set of charms."

Chris Malinchak - Beside Me
I believe the vocals are Brandy. The beat is perfect and kinda reminds me of a skating rink track although I can't skate at all. :)
If you like the track you can also download it for free from Soundcloud here!

Jai Paul - Jasmine
It's a 2 for 1 deal today. Heard this track on none other than Sirius Chill. Warning: This track will ensue into some funky head movement.

Blank and Jones - Still The Same
This track feels like a 90's dance track but that's what I love about it!  Heard another track from Blank and Jones this morning on Sirius Chill and stumbled on this track.  Dance music seems to sound better when it's cold outside.

DJ Sober @ Palladium Ballroom 10/31/12
It's been a long minute since I've posted. Heard this track at the Justice concert at Palladium Ballroom on Halloween night. This track was part of DJ Sober's set when he opened the night.  I was immediately put into the groove and luckily Shazam'd it in time before he mixed it into another song.
Enjoy!

David Bowie - Heroes
September 23, 1977. Released as a 7" single.
This is a classic and was used recently in probably the best scene of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.  If you haven't seen this movie yet I definitely recommend it!  The Wallflowers covered this song which was featured on the Godzilla soundtrack. Wow. Just made a strange connection with the Wallflower theme there. Enjoy!

Start Restaurant - "Real Food Fast"
We ventured over to this spot located on Greenville Avenue next to Rusty Taco (post coming soon).  We had heard the premise was to give customers a healthy fast food alternative and they proved to be successful with this. Plenty of choices for vegetarians and carnivores.
This post actually is coming after the second visit to Start. The freshness and quality of the food is amazing. On the first visit I had the Turkey & Raspberry Chipotle Wrap . It was a perfect blend of fresh ingredients that had a dressing of Reduced-Fat Cream Cheese Pecan Spread & Raspberry Chipotle Sauce.
On the second visit I opted for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich which was served on a Toasted Wheat Bun and smeared with a Scratch-Made Dijonnaise. I also ordered a side of Sweet Potato Tots.
The restaurant has a lot of natural colors and light which makes you feel like you are doing something good for the world (it's a joke people, c'mon). There's also a kids corner with toys and crayons to keep the little ones busy.

Major Lazer - Get Free Ft. Amber Coffman (Andy C. Remix)
Heard the end of the original track on Sirius XMU. I haven't heard a decent Drum and Bass song in a while and I recommend giving this one a listen. This track will definitely be in my weekly rotation. Enjoy!

Cindi's Restaurant & NY Deli
You know you’ve all driven by the store that has in huge red letters ‘Casket Store.’  Well to the unknown, in that same strip is a little corner of goodness.  I walked in here on a Sunday morning before work.  At first it was not what I expected to walk into from the appearance of the exterior.  Needless to say it feels like a steakhouse. It seemed a little dark with wood flooring and walls covered with artwork. But I was here for the food I had heard about.
I was quickly sat down and had my drink order taken.  The size of the menu is huge!  It would have taken me about 30 minutes to read it front to back. So since I was on a time restraint I darted straight to the breakfast items.  I placed an order for the Denver Omlette and within minutes my order was brought to my table.  Everything was hot and fresh.I’ve made it back to Cindi’s for lunch as well.  Their kitchen pumps out food at a pretty fast pace.  But it’s not sloppy and presentation is key here.  Make it on down for a great meal.  There are five locations total but the Central Expressway location isn’t hard to miss.  Just remember, big red sign that says Casket Store!

Dallas World Aquarium
Last Tuesday I had an oddly placed weekday off. Since I didn’t want to spend it at home with nothing to do I made a point to travel on over to the Dallas World Aquarium. A choice well made I came to find out. The Dallas World Aquarium was opened in October 1992 in an old 1924 warehouse.  Before I had arrived I was given some major advice about taking my time due to the small size. The location is right off of Woodall Rogers and near several West End restaurants.  They do have on site eating as well but we opted for a full on Downtown experience.  You start off on the third level and work your way down to the lower levels.  It does take some time before you actually get to see some aquadic life, but birds, reptiles and other mammals are always a pleasure. If you have a day off and want to see some amazing things take a trip on down to the D.W.A and you wont be dissapointed.  But please do take your time and don’t rush through it!
