Got a bit cold last night! I had to build a fire this morning (flipped a switch).
She put out lots of her fall decorations yesterday and I walked in yesterday evening to the smell of a pot of chili simmering on the stove.
We are dressed warmly and making plans for a day of cooking. I have already made us egg sandwiches for breakfast and we have a fridge full of meats and veggies to cook for the week. Enjoying this morning with Paul Simon on the speaker box.
This little cold spell won’t last long, we will probably resume summer temps tomorrow but I will enjoy this weather today.

Autumn has arrived here in Southeast Ohio. You wouldn’t know it, though, based on the daily highs these last couple of days. Thursday’s high was in the 70s, almost 80. Friday’s high got up to 78 degrees. Autmn? Maybe—if you consider the nightly lows. Lately, they’ve been in the mid-50s, sometimes even dropping into the high 40s. That’s good for a comfortable, decent night’s sleep.
