the insane experience of missing a fictional character . like you can always go back and reread the book , replay the game , rewatch the show or movie , you can always go back & see them , but you can never experience them & their story for the first time again . its absurd to miss them because they'll always be there , but you'll miss when there were still new things for them to say .

for a small time they were real & growing and changing and you hung onto every new word, but now all they can do is repeat the same story forever&ever & they're not real anymore because you know everything they're going to do. & you miss them. its fucked man...

Honestly, as a German I can not quite understand the obsession of the English speaking world with the question whether a word exists or not. WHO on the animation team was down bad for Obelix!?

In Asterix Versus Caesar there’s a scene where Asterix and Obelix visit a Roman bathhouse in their search for someone who can help them find a young man and women from their village who were kidnapped and sold as slaves.

At the entrance a gay man asks them to please undress before entering. Obelix is used to beating up romans on sight, especially if they ask him to do anything, so he asks Asterix if this guy is friend or foe. Asterix tells him that yes, this is a friend and they should do what he so kindly is asking of them, so they enter the changing room and for some reason Obelix is suddenly a bi king and starts flirting with the bathhouse attendant who can’t take his eyes off of him.

They start walking around the bathhouse in search for their man but are stopped by some guards who mock Asterix for being short which sets Obelix off and-

Just saw an ad for fucking Kellog's cornflakes wherein a shirtless blindfolded man tied to a bed is like "Wait.. are you... eating??" and it pans across the bed to reveal that his partner is, indeed, too distracted to have sex with him bc she is chowing down on corn flakes. Now I've been caught up in wondering whether:

a) John Harvey Kellog would despise this ad; the mere proximity of bondage-play to his brand name and beloved anti-porn flakes is unforgivable

b) John Harvey Kellog would enjoy this ad, because it shows a young woman forsaking the temptations of the flesh in favour of eating a wholesome and nourishing bowl of cornflakes
