I had the pleasure of drawing a leopard tattoo for my buddy, Vito! So I decided to paint it on a skate deck. I have so many blank skate decks just waiting for paint! “Small Talk” a super mini surf film where I got to fulfill one of my goals which was to make a surf edit this year! I’ve been seeing all these rad surf edits on the ‘gram and I thought to myself, “I wanna make one of those, but I’m currently landlocked in Austin, TX! And I have little to zero editing skills.” But I have the passion for surf, sea, art, music and creativity, which drove me to figure it out! I saw @everydaysrad was available to film and I asked around for some lady longboarders who’d like to be filmed for my first edit who lived near Everydaysrad aka John. The Universe brought it all together within 2 weeks. They met at Churches and I had the footage that same day! I highly recommend @everydaysrad 🎥!! Next, I had to learn Adobe Premiere! That was fun and definitely exercised my patience. It’s not perfect—I have A LOT to learn, but it’s all about the process, which I enjoyed very much. Giving a young, talented surfer an opportunity to highlight their skills and put it to some tunes is a real pleasure!
