Title: Married to Sunshine
Chapter 7: In the Spotlight

The campus buzzed with excitement as the annual college talent showcase loomed closer. Flyers were plastered on every bulletin board, and groups of students huddled in corners to practice their routines.
Hyunjin, sitting cross-legged on the grass with Yuna and Felix, glanced at the flyer in his hand. "This looks fun, but also terrifying."
"You should do it!" Yuna said, nudging him.
Hyunjin raised a skeptical brow. "And what would I even do? Trip over my feet in front of the entire school?"
Felix chimed in, "Come on, Hyunjin. You're talented! You could dance, sing, or even draw something cool."
Hyunjin laughed nervously. "I'd rather watch from the audience, thanks."
As they continued to chat, Minho approached, his presence immediately commanding attention. Hyunjin's stomach did a familiar flip when their eyes met.
"What's this?" Minho asked, plucking the flyer from Hyunjin's hand.
"The talent showcase," Yuna explained. "We're trying to convince Hyunjin to join."
Minho glanced at Hyunjin, one brow raised. "You should."
Hyunjin blinked at him. "You're agreeing with them?"
Minho shrugged nonchalantly. "Why not? You could use the practice."
Hyunjin scowled. "Practice for what?"
"Not tripping over thin air," Minho deadpanned.
Yuna and Felix burst into laughter, while Hyunjin threw his hands up in exasperation. "You're impossible!"
Minho smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement. "But you love me for it, sunshine."
--
That evening, Hyunjin sat at his desk, staring at the flyer. The idea of performing in front of so many people was nerve-wracking, but a small part of him was intrigued.
Lost in thought, he didn't notice Minho enter the room until he spoke.
"Still thinking about it?"
Hyunjin jumped, clutching his chest. "Can you stop sneaking up on me?"
Minho leaned against the doorframe, his silver hair catching the light. "I wasn't sneaking. You're just easily startled."
Hyunjin rolled his eyes. "What do you want?"
"To make sure you're not chickening out," Minho said, crossing his arms.
"I'm not chickening out!" Hyunjin protested.
"Good," Minho said, stepping closer. "Then it's settled. You're signing up."
Hyunjin gaped at him. "Excuse me? When did I agree to that?"
"Just now," Minho replied with a smirk.
Hyunjin groaned, burying his face in his hands. "Why are you like this?"
"Because I know you'll regret it if you don't try," Minho said, his tone softening slightly.
Hyunjin peeked at him through his fingers, surprised by the sincerity in his voice. "You think I can do it?"
"I know you can," Minho said, holding his gaze.
Hyunjin's cheeks flushed, and he quickly looked away. "Fine. I'll do it. But only because you won't stop pestering me."
Minho grinned. "That's the spirit."
--
The next day, Hyunjin found himself in the audition room, nervously tapping his foot as he waited for his turn.
"Relax, Hyunjin," Felix said, patting his shoulder. "You've got this."
Hyunjin nodded, though his palms were sweaty. He glanced at Minho, who stood off to the side, watching silently. Their eyes met, and Minho gave him a small nod.
Taking a deep breath, Hyunjin stepped onto the stage. The music started, and he let himself get lost in the rhythm. Despite his initial nerves, he felt surprisingly at ease.
When the routine ended, the room erupted into applause. Hyunjin grinned, bowing shyly.
"You killed it!" Felix cheered as Hyunjin walked off the stage.
Hyunjin beamed, his confidence soaring. "That wasn't so bad."
Minho approached, a rare smile tugging at his lips. "Told you."
Hyunjin playfully nudged him. "Alright, you were right. Happy?"
"Very," Minho said, his voice laced with amusement.
As they left the auditorium, Hyunjin couldn't help but feel grateful. For all of Minho's teasing and smugness, he always seemed to know exactly what Hyunjin needed.

Title: Married to Sunshine
Chapter 6: Sweet Chaos

Hyunjin was buzzing with excitement as he walked across the campus courtyard. It was club fair day, and the area was alive with colorful booths, excited students, and the aroma of snacks being handed out to lure new members.
"I'm telling you, this year's dance club showcase will blow everyone away," Yuna said, tugging Hyunjin toward a booth.
"Dance? I don't know..." Hyunjin trailed off, glancing around nervously.
Felix appeared from behind the booth, a beaming smile lighting up his face. "Hyunjin, you'd be perfect for it! You've got that natural grace."
Hyunjin waved his hands frantically. "Grace? Me? Are you kidding? I trip over flat surfaces!"
Felix and Yuna laughed, but Hyunjin wasn't joking. He was about to argue further when an arm draped lazily over his shoulder.
"Trying to recruit my sunshine into something he'll regret?" Minho's familiar voice teased.
Hyunjin groaned, trying to shrug Minho off. "Stop calling me that! And I can make my own decisions, thank you very much."
Minho smirked but didn't move. "Sure you can."
Felix crossed his arms, a playful glint in his eyes. "Minho, why don't you join instead? You're pretty good at dancing too, right?"
"Pass," Minho said smoothly. "I've got better things to do."
Hyunjin shot him a glare. "Like what? Following me around?"
Minho chuckled, his eyes glinting mischievously. "Maybe."
Before Hyunjin could retaliate, Yuna interrupted. "Okay, enough of that. Hyunjin, just try it out. What's the worst that could happen?"
--
The dance studio was spacious and filled with mirrors reflecting the eager faces of students who'd signed up for the trial session. Hyunjin stood awkwardly in the corner, tugging at the hem of his sweater.
"I'm going to embarrass myself," he whispered to Felix, who stood beside him.
"You'll be fine," Felix assured him, his tone gentle.
The instructor clapped their hands to get everyone's attention. "Alright, let's start with some basic moves!"
Hyunjin followed along, struggling to keep up. He tripped over his own feet multiple times, eliciting giggles from a few of the students. By the time they got to the spin-and-step combination, Hyunjin was convinced he'd made a mistake joining.
"Need a hand?" Minho's voice cut through his thoughts.
Hyunjin turned, his eyes widening. "What are you doing here?"
Minho smirked, stepping closer. "Making sure you don't break something."
"I don't need your help," Hyunjin insisted, though his cheeks were bright red.
"Right," Minho said, his tone dripping with sarcasm. He placed his hands lightly on Hyunjin's shoulders. "Relax. You're too stiff."
Hyunjin was too flustered to argue, especially with how close Minho was standing. He could feel the warmth radiating off him, and it made his heart race.
"Now, spin," Minho instructed, his voice soft.
Hyunjin followed his lead, the move surprisingly smooth. When he looked up, Minho was smiling—genuinely this time.
"See? Not so hard," Minho said.
Hyunjin pouted. "I could've done it on my own."
"Sure you could've," Minho teased, ruffling Hyunjin's hair before stepping back.
--
By the end of the session, Hyunjin was exhausted but smiling.
"That wasn't so bad," he admitted to Felix as they walked out of the studio.
"Told you!" Felix said, grinning. "You were great, Hyunjin."
Hyunjin glanced over his shoulder to see Minho talking to the instructor. He looked cool and composed as always, but his gaze flickered toward Hyunjin for a brief moment, making Hyunjin's stomach flutter.
"Why does he always have to act like that?" Hyunjin muttered to himself.
"Like what?" Felix asked.
"Like... I don't know. Like he's got it all figured out," Hyunjin said, a touch of frustration in his voice.
Felix chuckled. "Maybe because he does?"
Hyunjin groaned, burying his face in his hands. "You're not helping!"
--
That evening, back at the penthouse, Hyunjin was sprawled on the couch, scrolling through his phone. Minho walked in, a towel draped around his neck after his workout.
"You were decent today," Minho said casually.
Hyunjin sat up, glaring at him. "Decent? I was amazing!"
Minho chuckled, sitting down across from him. "If you say so, sunshine."
"Stop calling me that!" Hyunjin exclaimed, throwing a cushion at him.
Minho caught it easily, his smirk widening. "You make it too easy."
Hyunjin huffed, crossing his arms. "One day, I'll get back at you."
"I'll be waiting," Minho replied, leaning back with a satisfied look.
As the banter continued, Hyunjin couldn't help but feel a strange warmth in his chest. For all of Minho's teasing, there was something comforting about having him around.

Title: Married to Sunshine
Chapter 5: Butterflies and Banter

The morning sun streamed through the window as Hyunjin hummed softly to himself, preparing for another day of classes. He adjusted his favorite oversized sweater, the sleeves falling over his hands as he checked his reflection.
"Looking good," he mumbled, giving himself a wink.
As he stepped into the kitchen, Minho was already there, sipping coffee and scrolling through his phone.
"Morning, sunshine," Minho greeted without looking up.
"Can you stop calling me that?" Hyunjin groaned, reaching for the cereal box.
"Nope," Minho replied smugly, finally glancing at him. His smirk faltered for a split second as he took in Hyunjin's outfit. "You going to class or modeling for a sweater catalog?"
Hyunjin rolled his eyes. "It's called fashion, Minho. Look it up."
"Sure, fashion." Minho leaned back in his chair, clearly enjoying himself. "Just make sure you don't trip over those sleeves."
--
On campus, Hyunjin met up with Felix and Yuna. They were sitting on the grass, waiting for him with coffee in hand.
"Hyunjin!" Felix called out, waving enthusiastically. "We got you your favorite latte."
Hyunjin grinned, taking the cup. "You guys are the best!"
As they chatted, a group of students nearby burst into laughter, catching Hyunjin's attention. He turned to see what was going on, only to find himself locking eyes with Minho, who was sitting with Chan, Jisung, and Changbin.
Minho raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by something.
"Why is he always staring at me?" Hyunjin muttered under his breath.
Yuna followed his gaze and smirked. "Maybe he likes what he sees."
Hyunjin's face turned red. "What? No way! Minho's just... Minho."
Felix chuckled. "You're so easy to fluster, Hyunjin."
--
Later, during their free period, Hyunjin found himself paired with Felix for a casual campus scavenger hunt organized by their club. They roamed the grounds, laughing as they searched for clues.
"Hyunjin, over here!" Felix called, holding up a small token they needed to collect.
"Nice! You're really good at this," Hyunjin said, beaming.
Felix smiled, his ears turning pink. "It's more fun with you around."
As they moved to the next location, Hyunjin tripped over a loose brick in the pathway. He yelped, bracing himself for the fall, but strong hands caught him just in time.
"Careful, sunshine," a familiar voice said.
Hyunjin looked up to see Minho holding him steady, his silver hair catching the sunlight.
"Minho? What are you doing here?" Hyunjin asked, his voice tinged with surprise.
Minho shrugged. "I was nearby. Thought I'd check on you."
Felix watched the interaction with a faint frown but didn't say anything.
"Thanks, but I'm fine," Hyunjin said, stepping back.
Minho's gaze lingered on him for a moment before he smirked. "Try not to hurt yourself, okay? I don't want to have to carry you back home."
Hyunjin flushed. "As if I'd ever let you do that!"
Minho chuckled, ruffling Hyunjin's hair. "Sure, sunshine."
--
That evening, back at the penthouse, Hyunjin was sprawled on the couch, still annoyed by Minho's teasing.
"Why do you always have to show up like that?" Hyunjin muttered.
"Like what?" Minho asked from the kitchen, where he was preparing a quick snack.
"Like a hero or something! It's embarrassing," Hyunjin grumbled, hiding his face in a pillow.
Minho walked over, setting a plate of sliced fruit on the coffee table. "You're welcome, by the way."
Hyunjin peeked out from behind the pillow. "For what?"
"For saving you. Twice today, if we're counting."
Hyunjin pouted. "I didn't ask for your help."
"You never do," Minho said softly, his usual smirk replaced by a faint smile.
Hyunjin blinked, caught off guard by the sincerity in Minho's tone.
--
The next day, during lunch, Hyunjin sat with Felix and Yuna again, trying to shake off the memory of Minho's unexpected kindness.
"Why do you look so distracted?" Yuna asked, poking his cheek.
"I'm not!" Hyunjin insisted, though his reddening ears said otherwise.
Felix laughed. "You've been spacing out all morning. Let me guess—Minho again?"
Hyunjin nearly choked on his drink. "What? No! Why would you think that?"
"You two are always bickering like an old married couple," Yuna teased.
Hyunjin groaned, burying his face in his hands. "Why does everyone think that? We're not even close!"
Felix and Yuna exchanged a knowing look, but neither of them said anything.
--
As the week went on, Hyunjin found himself running into Minho more often than usual. Whether it was in the library, the cafeteria, or even the campus gym, Minho always seemed to be nearby.
"Do you have a tracker on me or something?" Hyunjin asked one afternoon when they bumped into each other outside the lecture hall.
Minho smirked. "Maybe."
"You're impossible," Hyunjin muttered, walking away.
Minho watched him go, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. "And you're too easy to read, sunshine."

Title: Married to Sunshine
Chapter 4: An Unwelcome Rival

Hyunjin awoke to the sound of birds chirping and sunlight streaming through the curtains of the penthouse. He stretched lazily, his mind still fuzzy from sleep.
"Another day of college," he murmured with a smile, hopping out of bed.
He hurried through his morning routine, already excited about what the day might bring. However, as he stepped into the kitchen, the sight of Minho calmly sipping his coffee reminded him of their little exchange yesterday.
"Good morning, sunshine," Minho greeted with a smirk, his silver hair glinting in the light.
Hyunjin groaned, grabbing a piece of toast. "Why do you keep calling me that?"
"Because you're annoyingly cheerful. It fits," Minho replied nonchalantly.
Hyunjin stuck out his tongue at him, earning a soft chuckle.
--
On campus, the day started as usual for Hyunjin—full of laughter and conversation. He met up with Felix and Yuna at their usual spot under a large oak tree.
"Hyunjin, over here!" Felix waved him over enthusiastically.
Hyunjin skipped toward them, his bubbly energy making him the center of attention as always.
"I saved you a spot," Felix said, patting the grass beside him.
"Thanks!" Hyunjin plopped down, oblivious to the glances Felix stole in his direction.
As they chatted, Minho passed by with Chan, Jisung, and Changbin. He paused when he saw Hyunjin sitting with Felix, his expression briefly darkening before returning to its usual neutral state.
"You okay?" Chan asked, noticing the shift in Minho's demeanor.
"Fine," Minho replied curtly, but his sharp gaze remained fixed on Hyunjin.
--
Later that afternoon, during a group project meeting in the library, Hyunjin found himself paired with Felix again.
"You're really good at this," Hyunjin said, admiring Felix's neatly drawn diagrams.
Felix smiled shyly. "Thanks, but you're the one with all the great ideas."
As they worked, Felix leaned closer to show Hyunjin something on the paper. Their heads were nearly touching, and Hyunjin didn't seem to notice how close they were.
"See? If we connect these two points, it'll make the structure more stable," Felix explained.
"Oh, I get it now!" Hyunjin exclaimed, completely focused on the project.
From a nearby table, Minho watched the scene unfold, his grip on his pen tightening.
"Earth to Minho," Jisung teased. "You've been glaring at them for ten minutes."
"I'm not glaring," Minho muttered, though his eyes didn't leave Hyunjin and Felix.
Changbin chuckled. "You're jealous again, aren't you?"
Minho shot him a warning look. "Drop it."
--
That evening, as Hyunjin returned to the penthouse, he found Minho waiting for him in the living room.
"How was your day?" Minho asked, his tone casual but his eyes probing.
"It was great! Felix and I made so much progress on our project," Hyunjin said brightly, kicking off his shoes.
Minho's jaw tightened. "You seem to spend a lot of time with him."
Hyunjin tilted his head, confused. "Well, yeah. We're friends."
Minho stood up, crossing his arms. "Just... be careful. Not everyone is as harmless as they seem."
Hyunjin frowned, his cheerful demeanor dimming. "Why do you keep saying that? Felix hasn't done anything wrong."
Minho sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'm just saying you should be cautious. You're too trusting."
"I'm not a kid, Minho," Hyunjin said, his voice tinged with frustration. "I can take care of myself."
Minho stared at him for a moment before softening. "I know you can. I just... worry about you."
Hyunjin blinked, his heart skipping a beat. "You worry about me?"
Minho looked away, his usual confidence faltering. "Forget it. Let's just eat dinner."
--
The next day, Hyunjin and Felix were walking to their next class when Felix tripped over a crack in the sidewalk.
"Felix!" Hyunjin exclaimed, grabbing his arm to steady him.
"Thanks, Hyunjin," Felix said, laughing sheepishly. "Guess I'm clumsier than I thought."
As Hyunjin smiled and patted Felix on the back, Minho appeared out of nowhere, standing between them like a protective wall.
"Careful, Felix," Minho said coolly. "Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself."
Felix blinked, surprised by Minho's sudden presence. "Uh, yeah. Thanks, Minho."
Hyunjin looked between them, confused by the tension. "What's going on?"
"Nothing," Minho said, his tone dismissive. "Just making sure you're not late for class, sunshine."
Hyunjin groaned. "Stop calling me that!"
Minho smirked, ruffling Hyunjin's hair. "Never."
Felix watched the interaction with a curious expression, his gaze flicking between Minho and Hyunjin.
--
That evening, as Hyunjin recounted the day's events to Minho, he noticed something strange in Minho's behavior.
"Why do you always show up when I'm with Felix?" Hyunjin asked, crossing his arms.
Minho shrugged, not meeting his eyes. "Coincidence."
Hyunjin narrowed his eyes. "You're not jealous, are you?"
"Of Felix?" Minho scoffed. "Hardly."
"Then why do you keep hovering around us?"
Minho leaned back on the couch, smirking. "Maybe I just like annoying you."
Hyunjin huffed, throwing a pillow at him. "You're impossible!"
Minho caught the pillow effortlessly, his smirk widening. "And you're easy to read, sunshine."
As their playful banter filled the room, Hyunjin couldn't help but feel a warmth in his chest. Minho might be frustrating, but he also made Hyunjin's world a little brighter.

Title: Married to Sunshine
Chapter 3: Jealousy in the Air

The next morning, Hyunjin hummed a tune as he fixed his tie in front of the mirror. He couldn't stop smiling, still buzzing from the new friendships he'd made.
"You're unusually cheerful," Minho said as he emerged from the bedroom, already dressed in his usual sleek uniform.
Hyunjin turned, flashing a grin. "Why shouldn't I be? College is fun!"
Minho raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Instead, he walked over and adjusted Hyunjin's tie without a word. His touch was firm yet gentle, and Hyunjin froze, feeling his cheeks warm.
"There," Minho said, stepping back. "Now you don't look like a complete mess."
"Uh... thanks?" Hyunjin muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Minho smirked, grabbing his keys. "Let's go. You don't want to be late."
--
Campus was bustling as always, but Hyunjin's sunshine-like energy seemed to brighten the atmosphere even more. As he made his way to his first class, several people greeted him warmly.
"Hyunjin! Good morning!"
"Morning, Yuna!"
"Hey, Hyunjin! Did you finish the reading for today?"
"Yeah, sort of!"
From a distance, Minho observed the scene with narrowed eyes. Hyunjin was practically a magnet for attention, and it was both amusing and mildly irritating.
"Your husband's really popular," Jisung remarked, munching on an apple.
Minho scoffed. "He's not my—" He paused, catching himself. "Whatever."
Changbin grinned. "You're so bad at hiding it, Minho. Just admit you're jealous."
"I'm not jealous," Minho said coolly, though the way his jaw clenched suggested otherwise.
--
During lunch, Hyunjin found himself in the cafeteria again, chatting with his growing circle of friends. Felix joined them, much to Hyunjin's delight.
"Hyunjin, you're like a ray of sunshine," Felix said with a laugh. "How are you always so positive?"
Hyunjin shrugged, biting into his sandwich. "I just try to focus on the good things, I guess."
Felix's eyes softened. "That's a good mindset. Not many people can do that."
Before Hyunjin could respond, Minho appeared out of nowhere, placing a hand on Hyunjin's shoulder.
"Hyunjin," he said, his voice calm but firm. "We need to talk."
Hyunjin blinked, confused. "Now?"
"Yes. Now."
Minho's tone left no room for argument, so Hyunjin stood up, waving sheepishly at his friends. "I'll be back in a bit!"
Felix watched the interaction with a puzzled expression. "Does he always act like that?"
Yuna leaned in, whispering conspiratorially. "Minho's super protective of Hyunjin. It's like he's his bodyguard or something."
Minho led Hyunjin to a quieter area outside the cafeteria.
"What's going on?" Hyunjin asked, tilting his head.
"Be careful around Felix," Minho said bluntly.
Hyunjin frowned. "Why? Felix is nice!"
"Too nice," Minho muttered. "People like that always have ulterior motives."
Hyunjin crossed his arms. "You're being ridiculous. Felix just wants to be friends."
Minho stepped closer, his gaze intense. "You don't understand how people can manipulate you, Hyunjin. You're too trusting."
Hyunjin huffed, feeling a mix of frustration and embarrassment. "Why do you care so much, anyway?"
Minho hesitated, his usual composure slipping for a moment. Then he sighed. "Because I don't want you to get hurt."
Hyunjin's breath hitched at the sincerity in Minho's voice. His heart fluttered, but he quickly looked away, trying to hide his reddening face.
"I can take care of myself, you know," he mumbled.
Minho smirked, ruffling Hyunjin's hair. "Sure you can, sunshine."
Hyunjin swatted his hand away, pouting. "Stop calling me that!"
--
Later that day, Hyunjin accidentally spilled coffee on his notes in the library. Panicking, he scrambled to clean up the mess.
"Here," a familiar voice said.
Hyunjin looked up to see Minho holding out a fresh set of notes.
"Wait... are these mine?" Hyunjin asked, taking the notes.
Minho nodded. "I made a copy of your notes earlier. Just in case you did something clumsy like this."
Hyunjin stared at him, both touched and mildly offended. "You think I'm clumsy?"
Minho smirked. "You are clumsy."
Hyunjin groaned, but he couldn't help smiling. "Thanks, I guess."
"Don't mention it," Minho said, turning to leave.
As Hyunjin watched him walk away, he couldn't shake the warm feeling in his chest.
--
That evening, back at the penthouse, Hyunjin was recounting the day's events while Minho worked on his laptop.
"And then Felix said I was like a ray of sunshine!" Hyunjin said, laughing.
Minho glanced up, his expression unreadable. "You really like talking about him."
Hyunjin paused, confused. "Well, yeah. He's my friend."
Minho didn't respond, but the way he clenched his jaw didn't go unnoticed by Hyunjin.
"Are you... jealous?" Hyunjin asked teasingly.
Minho raised an eyebrow. "Of Felix? No."
"Really? Because it kind of seems like you are," Hyunjin said with a sly grin.
Minho smirked, leaning back in his chair. "Believe what you want, sunshine."
Hyunjin pouted, throwing a pillow at him. "Stop calling me that!"
Minho caught the pillow effortlessly, his smirk widening. "Never."
As their laughter filled the room, Hyunjin couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like this. Being married to Minho might be unconventional, but it wasn't so bad after all.

Title: Married to Sunshine
Chapter 2: Rules of Secrecy

Hyunjin woke up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the penthouse. Stretching, he shuffled into the kitchen, still in his pajamas—a mismatched set of a yellow hoodie and pink polka-dot shorts.
There, standing like a scene out of a magazine, was Minho. His silver hair glistened under the morning light as he poured coffee into a mug. Dressed in casual sweatpants and a plain black t-shirt, he looked effortlessly perfect.
"Morning," Hyunjin mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
Minho glanced at him and raised an eyebrow. "Morning. Did you sleep in again?"
Hyunjin yawned. "Maybe." He grabbed a piece of toast from the counter and bit into it. "What's with the coffee? You don't usually make breakfast."
"I don't," Minho replied nonchalantly. "But you kept muttering about coffee in your sleep, so..."
Hyunjin nearly choked on his toast. "W-What? You heard me?!"
Minho smirked, clearly enjoying Hyunjin's flustered reaction. "You talk a lot in your sleep. It's kind of cute."
Hyunjin's face turned a deep shade of pink as he sputtered, "I do not talk in my sleep!"
"Sure you don't," Minho teased, sliding the mug of coffee toward him. "Here. I made it just the way you like it—too sweet."
Hyunjin stared at the mug, his heart doing little flips. He took a tentative sip, and a warm, fuzzy feeling spread through him. "Thanks," he muttered, avoiding Minho's gaze.
Minho didn't respond, but there was a faint smile on his lips as he leaned against the counter, sipping his own coffee.
--
The ride to campus was quieter than usual. Minho drove with one hand on the wheel, his other hand resting casually on the gear shift. Hyunjin, sitting in the passenger seat, fiddled with the strap of his backpack.
"Do you really think people are starting to notice me?" Hyunjin asked, breaking the silence.
Minho glanced at him briefly before focusing back on the road. "Yes. You're too bright. People gravitate toward you."
Hyunjin blinked. "Is that a bad thing?"
Minho hesitated. "Not necessarily. But it's dangerous."
"Dangerous?"
Minho sighed, his grip on the steering wheel tightening slightly. "Look, you're not just any student, Hyunjin. You're married to me. If people find out, they'll start digging into your life. Into our life."
Hyunjin frowned, biting his lip. He hadn't thought about it that way.
Minho continued, his tone softening. "I just want to protect you. So, please, try to stay under the radar."
Hyunjin's heart ached at the concern in Minho's voice. He nodded, though he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. "Okay. I'll try."
--
Hyunjin spent the morning trying to blend in, but it was easier said than done. His bubbly personality and natural charm made him stand out no matter how hard he tried to keep a low profile.
By lunchtime, he found himself in the cafeteria again, chatting animatedly with his new group of friends.
"Hyunjin, you're so fun to be around!" Yuna gushed.
"Seriously," another friend chimed in. "You're like a ray of sunshine."
Hyunjin laughed, scratching the back of his neck. "You guys are too nice!"
Meanwhile, across the cafeteria, Minho sat with Jisung and Changbin. His gaze flickered toward Hyunjin every now and then, his expression unreadable.
"Still watching your sunshine?" Jisung teased, nudging Minho with his elbow.
Minho shot him a glare. "Mind your own business."
"Come on," Changbin said with a grin. "It's kind of cute how protective you are. Like a guard dog."
Minho sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "He's not just my 'sunshine.' He's my responsibility."
Jisung smirked. "Sure, keep telling yourself that."
--
As the day went on, Hyunjin found himself in an unexpected situation. He was heading to his next class when he tripped over his own shoelaces and crashed straight into someone.
"Ah, I'm so sorry!" Hyunjin exclaimed, scrambling to his feet.
The person he'd bumped into turned out to be a tall, broad-shouldered guy with a friendly smile. "No worries! Are you okay?"
Hyunjin nodded, brushing off his clothes. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks!"
"I'm Felix, by the way," the guy said, extending a hand.
"Hyunjin," he replied, shaking Felix's hand.
Felix's smile widened. "Nice to meet you, Hyunjin. You're a freshman, right?"
"Yep!"
Felix chuckled. "You're pretty bold for a freshman. Most people are too shy to talk to me."
Hyunjin tilted his head. "Why would they be shy? You seem nice."
Felix blinked, surprised by Hyunjin's straightforwardness. Then he laughed. "You're interesting, Hyunjin. I hope we can be friends."
Before Hyunjin could respond, a familiar voice cut in.
"Hyunjin."
He turned to see Minho approaching, his expression colder than usual.
"Oh, Minho! Hi!" Hyunjin greeted cheerfully.
Minho ignored Felix entirely, focusing on Hyunjin. "You're late for class."
Hyunjin blinked. "I am?" He checked his watch and gasped. "Oh no! You're right! I have to go!"
He turned to Felix, giving him a quick wave. "Nice meeting you, Felix! See you around!"
As Hyunjin hurried off, Minho shot Felix a warning look.
Felix raised an eyebrow. "What's your deal?"
Minho didn't answer. He simply turned and walked away, his mind already on Hyunjin.
--
Later that evening, Hyunjin was lounging on the couch in their penthouse, recounting his day to Minho.
"And then I met this guy named Felix! He's really nice!"
Minho, sitting across from him, frowned slightly. "Be careful around him."
Hyunjin tilted his head. "Why? He seemed fine to me."
Minho didn't respond. Instead, he stood up and ruffled Hyunjin's hair.
"Just... trust me, okay?"
Hyunjin pouted. "You're so cryptic sometimes."
Minho smirked. "And you're too trusting."
As Hyunjin watched Minho walk away, he couldn't help but smile. Despite his aloof exterior, Minho's protectiveness made his heart flutter.
"Married life really is weird," he muttered to himself, laughing softly.

Title: Married to Sunshine
Chapter 1: The secret I do

The warm morning sun streamed through the windows of Hyunjin's dorm room as he sat cross-legged on his bed, biting his lip nervously. Today was the first day of college, and while most freshmen were worried about making friends or finding their classrooms, Hyunjin had a much bigger concern—keeping his marriage a secret.
Marriage.
At twenty.
To Lee Minho.
Hyunjin groaned dramatically, flopping onto his bed. "What kind of drama am I living in?" he muttered to himself, staring at the ceiling.
It wasn't like he didn't like Minho. In fact, that was the problem. Hyunjin liked him too much. Sure, the marriage had been arranged by their families for business reasons, but over time, Hyunjin found himself hopelessly drawn to his husband. Minho's quiet protectiveness, his razor-sharp wit, and the way he secretly left notes or small treats for Hyunjin made his heart race.
The problem was Minho himself. His nonchalant attitude made it impossible to tell if he saw Hyunjin as anything more than an obligation.
The thought of facing Minho today made Hyunjin's stomach twist. Although they lived together in a shared penthouse near campus, Minho had left early this morning without a word.
Hyunjin sighed, tugging on his sunshine-yellow hoodie and jeans. He needed to shake off his nerves and focus on blending in. No one could know about their relationship, especially with Minho's high-profile status as the heir to the Lee Conglomerate.
"Just act normal," Hyunjin whispered to his reflection as he slung his backpack over his shoulder. "You're just a regular student."
--
The campus buzzed with energy as students milled about, introducing themselves and exploring the grounds. Hyunjin couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed. Thankfully, his sunny personality made it easy to approach people. Within minutes, he was already laughing with a small group of new classmates.
"Hyunjin, right?" a bubbly girl named Yuna asked. "You're so friendly! It's like you've been here for years!"
Hyunjin grinned, scratching the back of his neck. "Ah, I guess I just like meeting new people."
From a distance, Minho watched the scene unfold. Leaning casually against a tree, he observed Hyunjin's radiant smile and effortless charm. Though his face remained impassive, his eyes softened slightly.
"Still can't believe he's married," Jisung muttered beside him, popping a piece of gum into his mouth.
Minho shot him a look. "You talk too much."
"I'm just saying," Jisung smirked. "It's kind of funny, right? Sunshine Hyunjin and Ice King Minho. Who would've thought?"
"Shut up."
Jisung snickered but didn't push further. It was rare to see Minho's mask crack, and he wasn't about to ruin the moment.
--
Later that day, Hyunjin found himself in his first lecture. He had barely settled into his seat when a familiar figure strolled in. Minho, dressed in a crisp white shirt and black jeans, looked every bit the campus heartthrob.
Whispers immediately erupted around the room.
"Oh my gosh, it's Minho!"
"He's so cool!"
"I heard he's a genius."
Hyunjin shrank in his seat, silently praying that Minho wouldn't notice him. But of course, luck wasn't on his side. Minho's sharp gaze swept across the room before locking onto him.
"Crap," Hyunjin mumbled under his breath as Minho approached.
Without a word, Minho took the empty seat beside Hyunjin, much to the astonishment of the other students.
"Uh, hi," Hyunjin whispered awkwardly, his cheeks tinged with pink.
Minho leaned in slightly, his voice low and teasing. "Relax, sunshine. I'm not here to blow your cover."
Hyunjin pouted, whispering back, "You're making it obvious by sitting next to me!"
Minho smirked but didn't respond. Instead, he pulled out his notebook and focused on the lecture.
Despite Minho's calm demeanor, Hyunjin couldn't concentrate. His mind kept replaying the way Minho had called him "sunshine," his tone softer than usual.
--
During lunch, Hyunjin sat with his new friends, enjoying the lively atmosphere of the cafeteria. He was halfway through his sandwich when Jisung and Changbin appeared out of nowhere, plopping their trays onto the table.
"Mind if we join?" Jisung asked with a grin, not waiting for an answer.
"Sure," Hyunjin said, though he was slightly confused.
"Hyunjin, right?" Changbin asked, eyeing him curiously. "You're a freshman?"
"Yep!" Hyunjin replied cheerfully.
"Interesting," Jisung said, his tone playful. "You know, Minho never sits next to anyone in class. But today, he sat next to you. Any reason for that?"
Hyunjin nearly choked on his drink. "W-What? No! There's no reason! We're just... acquaintances!"
Jisung and Changbin exchanged amused glances. "Acquaintances, huh?"
Before Hyunjin could respond, Minho appeared behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Hyunjin, let's go."
Hyunjin blinked up at him. "Go where?"
Minho gave him a look that said, Don't argue. "Just come with me."
Flustered, Hyunjin grabbed his tray and followed Minho out of the cafeteria, leaving his friends bewildered.
"What was that about?" Yuna asked, staring after them.
Jisung smirked. "I have a feeling there's more to Hyunjin and Minho than meets the eye."
Once they were outside, Hyunjin turned to Minho, pouting. "What was that for? I was having fun!"
Minho crossed his arms, his expression unreadable. "You were being too loud. People are starting to notice you."
Hyunjin huffed. "It's not my fault I'm naturally friendly."
Minho's lips twitched as if he was holding back a smile. "Just... be careful, okay? You're too gullible for your own good."
Hyunjin tilted his head, confused by Minho's sudden seriousness. But before he could ask, Minho ruffled his hair gently.
"Go back to your friends, sunshine."
Hyunjin's cheeks flushed as he watched Minho walk away. His heart fluttered, and for a moment, he forgot about the world around him.
"Married life is weird," he muttered, a small smile playing on his lips.
