one of his favorite jokes to tease you with would be about how much shorter you are than him

he loves reminding you of this fact, but that’s just bc he thinks it’s adorable

literally thinks you’re the cutest person ever

and always reminds you of it

ok so the first time you guys ever met was at his favorite meat restaurant 

you just got hired for your summer job as the waitress

when inseong comes in with his friends, his eyes land on you immediately 

at first just because you were an unfamiliar face in his favorite restaurant; he visited so often that he was on good terms with all the employees

when you turn to look at him and his friends, he kind of just freezes

cliche as it sounds, it was as if the world slowed to a stop

because wow you were cute. good looking. attractive. so attractive that his heart picks up the pace with each step that you take towards him

you sit him and his friends down at a table and continue doing your job

while inseong cant take his eyes off of you

he doesnt even realize he was staring until jihun nudges his shoulder, “you good bro?”

when he does realize, however, he blushes a deep red and forces himself to keep his eyes on his food

after that day, he visits the restaurant every other day

so often that even the regular employees question him “what’s gotten into you?”

and even his members notice

“can you even afford eating meat almost everyday?”

each time he visits the restaurant he tells himself that he’ll finally ask for your number

he likes to hype himself up in the dorm bathroom before going

“you can do this” “today is your day” “all you have to do is say hi, flash your killer smile, and ask”

however his confidence dies as soon as he walks through the doors

he melts at the sight of you

especially when you smile at him

“here again?” you ask, smiling

its as if someone shoots a love arrow through his heart

she remembers me !!!!! he thinks

one day he brings jihun along

and as soon as jihun sees inseong staring off after you like a puppy in love, he finally knows the reason why inseong’s been blowing his cash at this place

jihun basically pressures inseong to finally ask you for your number

or as he likes to put it “hype him up”

so jihun leaves to go to the bathroom and inseong waves you over to ask for the check

and as you’re handing him his check he clears his throat and looks up at you nervously

and little does he know you’re just as nervous as him

because??? the cute regular customer was staring right at you??

and you freeze because omg?? did you do something wrong?? why is he clearing his throat?? is there something on your face???

so the two of you are staring at each other nervously and neither of you guys are saying anything

all of his rehearsal lines run through his head but he suddenly can’t think of which one to say

and then suddenly he blurts

“can i get your number?”

and he blushes such a bright red bc oh god that was way too direct

he breaks eye contact to look at anything but you, and blabbers on, “i mean- i just thought you were really cute and i was just thinking - hoping that you’d maybe want to grab a drink or something? or anything that’s fine with you, i dont mind, or if you want to at all, im sorry-”

he doesnt stop until you cut him off with a giggle

the cutest giggle he’s ever heard, mind you

he looks up questioningly

and you smile

“sorry i just thought that was really cute” you say and his heart nearly bursts out of his chest

you leave to give him his change, and come back with your number written on the back of the receipt

you two go on a date to a dessert place

and hit it off immediately 

and he wonders why he didn’t ask for your number sooner

you were so easy to talk to, and you actually laughed at his jokes

you even took his joking lightly

you guys start dating after your fourth date

he shows up to your front door unannounced

with a bouquet of roses

“will you be my girlfriend?”

he has cringe worthy nicknames for you

the rest of knk wants to yack every time they accidentally overhear him say this

so when you guys do talk about it, he’s calm and anger isn’t clouding his thoughts

and when anger isn’t clouding his thoughts, he’s also able to understand your side more

hello!!! omg i am so so so sorry i haven’t been updating at all lately. :( if you guys didn’t know, im actually a first year in college now! and i just recently finished my first quarter :) college has been both a kind and learning experience, and i feel like i can definitely use my experience as a base for my writing. thank you all for being so patient !! ill try my best to get out the requested stuff asap, and even a few extra stuff :)

How would knk react to u asking them to go to a haunted house together?

youjin would definitely be the most calm member, and he’ll offer you his arm before you go in, saying something like “you can hold onto me if you’re scared.” he isn’t much of a skinship guy, but when it comes to the person he likes, he’s more than willing to protect them, even if it means letting them cling to him. in the haunted house, he’d softly chuckle at your scared expressions and if you feel really frightened, like almost close to tears, he’ll pull you into a hug and would bury your face into his chest so you wouldn’t see any of the scary things. he’d whisper things like “just trust me” into your ears as he tries to find a way to escape as soon as possible. after you guys get out he’ll give you a small reassuring smile and would probably ruffle your hair as he  mentions how cute u are.

seungjun would be screaming right beside you, possibly even louder. he’d pull you down to the ground with him as he screams for his life, holding onto you without ever letting go. he’d be jumping at every single sound he hears and would backhug you the entire time, refusing to let you go for even a second. if you’re as scared as him, you two would probably be stuck in the house for a while, too scared to go any further in fear of something popping out of nowhere lmao afterwards he’ll probably laugh at the memory as you two get some ice cream to heal yourselves from that traumatic experience lmfao

inseong would try to hide how scared he is in front of you. he’d enter the house with his arm slung over your shoulder, holding you close. he wouldn’t scream as loud as seungjun but he would definitely jump at the pop ups that happen. he’d constantly be looking over at you to check if you’re alright and he’d even cheekily whisper “if you’re scared you can close your eyes lmao trust oppA” but u kno damn well he’s gonna be making jokes about this for a long time. he’s scared too but i think he’ll be more into watching your reactions than the haunted house, making it less scary for him. afterwards, he might throw a few jokes at you calling you a scaredy cat, but would hold ur hand and coo, “that wasn’t so bad, was it? bc i was there to protect u lmfao”

jihun would yelp at everything that comes running at you two, flinching at every pop up he sees. even tho he’s scared as hell and his heart feels like its abt to jump out of his chest he’ll protectively put you behind him as he faces the ghost in the haunted house himself. after the initial shock/scare, he’d definitely let out a chuckle, finding his own reaction funny. he’d hold your hand the entire time with you walking slightly behind him in a protective manner. he’d constantly turn around to check on you, assuring you that he’ll find the exit soon. afterwards he’ll let out a breath of relief as he looks over at you with a smile “ that was fun, right?”

heejun would definitely scream as loud as seungjun, then as reflex, he’d probably square up and try to fight the ghost lmfao. i see him as someone who would talk nonstop/ yell a lot to diffuse how scared he is. he’d jump at everything, even if it was something that wasn’t meant to scare you two at all, he’d be so on the edge that even the sound of his own breathing scares him lol throughout all of this, he’d still have you behind him as if protecting you.  afterwards he’ll pretend he wasn’t scared at all lmfao “did you see how cool i was? that was nothing” lmao who r u kidding heejun

request: a vernon scenario where you two meet at a halloween party, similar to the scene in romeo and juliet for @margochii !!!

author’s note:  omg ok so i had a lot of fun writing this since it was such a fun idea!! but like when i was more than halfway thru i was like.... did i fulfill the request like how u wanted???? im not sure :-( if i didnt you can always request again w more specifics!!! anyway sry if there’s any grammar/ spelling  mistakes and thank u for requesting!

your friend practically danced in front of you, gliding from one clothes rack to another, pulling out various dresses of variant colors and holding them out for you to see.

"this one? or this one?" she holds up two dresses for you to choose from. you raise an eyebrow from your spot against the wall.

"is this for me or you?" you ask suspiciously. she had been talking about going to this "cool halloween party" nonstop for the last two weeks, practically begging you to come with her. however, party + dressing up just wasn't your thing, even if your best friend was practically close to tears from begging you. you had only agreed to come help her shop for a dress because she had played the guilt card on you, stating that if you weren't coming for the event you should at least be there to support her for the act of getting ready for it. although, once arriving at the store, she had suspiciously began picking out dresses that were your size, holding each clothing item she chooses up for your approval.

"me, silly!" she answers without missing a beat. you narrow your eyes in disbelief, not fully trusting her, but pick one of the two dresses anyway. she eyes the dress you chose for a moment, and you swear you see her peek over at you from the corner of her eyes. shrugging off your suspicions, you follow her to the cashier as she rings the dress up and the thoughts of the party slowly begin fading to the back of your mind the farther you got from the store.

that is, until you find a suspiciously familiar bag sitting on your bed on the day of the party  three days later, followed by your equally suspicious best friend who was definitely not wearing the dress you two had picked out together. as soon as you step into your room Saturday evening, you freeze at the doorframe as realization hits you, glaring at your best friend.

"no," you state bluntly without giving her a chance to explain. you move around her to place your bag on the floor, ready to jump into bed from the tiring events of the day. a party was the last thing on your mind.

"come on, please?" she asks for the millionth time this month, this time grasping onto your arm. "pretty please with a cherry on top? this is the first party of the quarter and i really want to experience it with you," her bottom lip juts out and her eyes look up at you , pleading, and in return, one of your eyebrow twitches. you had an undeniable soft spot for  the puppy dog face and she fucking knew it.

holding onto your last straw of willpower, you try to counter, "...you wouldn't even be having fun with me around. i told you, parties aren't my thing." your best friend shakes her head without missing a beat, looking up at you with hope filled eyes. "that's not true! i always have fun with you!"

"....you really want me to go?"

she nods her head frantically, practically lighting up with excitement when you finally sigh, your last wall of resistance falling to crumbles. "fine," you grumble, moving to the bag laid atop of your bed. you ignore the squeals of delight behind you as you pull out the dress you had undoubtedly picked out the other day. the dress was made out of peach fabric, with the a boat neckline that exposed your shoulders and collarbones. the dress came down to your knees, and the wide skirt area made it easy to walk in. you eye the dress, agreeing that it was definitely your style. what you hadn't expect to fall out of the bag was a matching mask that only covered the top half of your face. grabbing the mask, you turn around, looking at your friend expectantly.

"oh i didn't tell you? it's masquerade themed!" she tells you cheerfully. only then did you notice there was a mask that matched her own dress laid out on your desk behind her. you sighed, finding it futile to complain now. pulling on the hem of your shirt, you pull it over your body as you begin to get dressed.

"i can't believe you talked me into this," you mumble as you kill the car engine in front of a freakishly large house. the party was in full swing, with people already drunk off their minds laying around in the front lawn. thundering music made their way to the street every time the front door opened and closed, and you dryly wonder if any of the neighbors had filed a noise complaint yet.

"it looks fun!" your best friend bounces excitedly in the passengers seat, eyeing the house with childish excitement in her eyes. you narrow your eyes at her.

"don't get wasted," you scold lightly, but you knew your words only came through one ear and out the next. sighing, you unbuckle your seatbelt and put on your mask, followed by your best friend. though, upon arriving, the party looked nothing like a masquerade party you've seen in the movies. the contrast between the elegant outfits and how wasted the people were was almost amusing.

"let's go," she smiles beside you.

your best friend practically lights up with excitement beside you, every step she takes bounced with adrenaline as she leads you closer and closer to the party you had no interest in. you feel eyes on you, assuming that people were curious about the face that lies under the mask. you let out a soft thanks for the mask hiding your identity, because you don't think that you would be able to hide the red that tinted your cheeks at all the attention. the party was even louder inside the house, with something happening in every corner. music seemed to be coming from everywhere, and the walls of the house shook with every beat. as soon as you two stepped through the doors, someone you can't recognize comes to your friend's side, draping an arm around her shoulders.

"jun! i didn't know you'd be here!" you hear your best friend shout over the music. you crane your head to get a better look at the said male, pinning together your memory of him and his current appearance. past the mask was a playful expression, followed by flowing blonde locks that framed his gorgeous (as many times emphasized by your friend) face. it was no secret between you two that her biggest crush on campus was none other than wen junhui. so when they engaged into a conversation together, you tapped out, motioning that you were going to look for some snacks.

unfortunately for you, this party was not so grand in the snack department. upon arriving to the kitchen, you lay your eyes on the different, bland arrangement of snacks. there were some chips, and chocolate, but nothing for you to really get full off of. you let out a small sigh, reaching for a cup to use as a container and tried to pick what you didn't mind eating that much.

"you look like you're having fun," someone saunters over to your side, holding a matching cup of snacks to yours. you look up at the owner to no avail. these masks did better job at hiding the person behind it than you thought. the stranger had beautiful brunette locks that was pushed back, and kind pink lips that kind of looked really kissab- you dart your eyes away from his lips, looking back at his curious eyes, cutting off impure thoughts in your mind. he was attractive even with the mask on, you had to admit.  you raise an eyebrow at his sarcasm, going back to your snacks.

"definitely," you answer with as much sarcasm as he had. he lets out a low laugh from beside you, apparently making himself comfortable as he leans his back against the counter, facing you. you look at him expectantly, wondering what he wanted. from the side, you quietly note that he had an attractive jaw line, one that almost made you instinctively want to touch. instead, you kept our hands busy by popping snacks into your mouth.

"let me guess," he starts, tilting his head towards you, "were you forced to be here?" you guess the answer was on your face, because he let out a small laugh at your reaction.

"how'd you know?" you ask, genuinely curious. was the words "don't want to be here" written on your forehead or something? he smiles (and your heart kind of jumps at how attractive it is) and gazes at you sympathetically.

"i'm on the same boat," he admits, running his fingers through his hair. "and i could find a shipmate from miles away," he jokes, winking at you playfully. to your surprise, you found yourself letting out a laugh at his remark, rolling your eyes. the stranger was easier to talk to you that you had originally thought, and within two hours, you two had clicked over a bowl of snacks. maybe it was the beauty of the masks, you weren't shy about how you looked or self conscious at all. it was like talking to someone over the internet, here they couldn't see the real you.

"no way," he laughs at your story, "you did not!" he shakes his head in disbelief, a bright smile gracing his lips. you nod your head, a smile matching his on your own lips.

"it's true!" you exclaim, laughing as you hit his side. the two of you had moved from the kitchen to the backyard, where it was a lot more unoccupied by sweaty dancing bodies. sitting side by side on the porch steps, you two shared enough stories that you were sure he already knew half of the person you were. your shoulders graze each other  every time one of you bends over in laughter, causing the heat to crawl to your cheeks. you were thankful for the dim lighting, or you were sure he would be able to see your blushing face.

this time, the both of you double over in laughter, causing the two of you to bump heads. you look up in shock at the sudden pang of pain that hit you, watching as he looked up at you with the same expression. you freeze, suddenly aware at how close your faces were. your heartbeat grows louder in your ears and you wouldn't be surprised if he said he could hear it. as if the world disappears around you, you find yourself lost in brown eyes, the music of the party growing farther away and the only thing you can hear is your own breathing past the thundering sounds of your heartbeat. you gulp softly as you catch his eyes dart down to your lips. he begins leaning in slowly, eyes never leaving your lips as he comes closer, and you can feel his hot breath against your own skin, goosebumps forming throughout your body as adrenaline and delight kicks through your veins. you clench your dress in your fist, closing your eyes to brace yourself upon contact.

a familiar ringtone cuts through the moment, and immediately the two of you break apart as if caught in a inappropriate act. you look at him with wide eyes, finding him gazing at you with the same expression before simultaneously bursting into laughter. fishing  your phone out of your bag, you wonder who possibly had the worst timing in the world. it was an unknown number, one you didn't recognize. you stared at it, wondering whether or not you should pick up. you look over at the boy beside you, who nods with a small smile, motioning for you to pick up.

"hello?" you answer, covering one of your ears to hear the other end of the line better.

"_____!" your best friend's voice flows out of the phone. you furrow your brows, taking the phone off your ear to check the number again.

"y/b/f/n? what happened to your phone?" you ask.

"it ran out of battery! i'm using jun's," she giggles over the line at his name and you raise a brow at her voice. she was definitely tipsy. "we're going out for food!" she says joyfully over the receiver.

the space between your eyebrows slightly furrow as you take in that information. you didn't know jun that well, and leaving your tipsy friend in his presence left a bad taste to your mouth. but from the lack of music coming from her end of the line, you assumed that she had already left. "okay," you muster before adding, "be safe."

she laughs at your response, gushing, "of course i will silly! we're going to go get some hamburgers," she informs.

"he hasn't been drinking, has he?" you check to make sure.

"nope! he said he was going to drive someone else before, so he didn't drink at all," your best friend replies happily. you sigh, nodding slowly even though she couldn't see you.

"alright, have fun," you smile affectionately. you knew that this was a moment she was looking forward to ever since she had met jun. love at first sight, she called it.

you end the call and look over at the boy to find him texting someone. he notices your gaze and looks up, smiling at your face. "is everything alright?" he asks, putting his phone back into his pocket.

you nod, suddenly feeling a little heavy in the chest area. what was that feeling? "looks like my reason for staying at this party has left," you give him a somber smile. was it disappointment that you no longer had a reason to stay? contrary to your mood, the boy lights up.

"really?" he inquires excitedly, and a part of you falters. was he happy that you were finally leaving? before you can wonder about his thoughts any farther, he pats his phone inside his pocket. "well, it happens that my reason and ride has also left this party," he smiles at you, an affectionate gaze peeking through his mask.

you feel yourself blush under his gaze and try to muster a whimsical tone, "are you hinting that i should drive you home?"

he salutes you with a bright smile on his lips. "i am, ma'am," he answers in a mock soldier shout. you roll your eyes, but a smile of your own bleeds through your lips as the heavy feeling is lifted off your chest. relief flows through your veins as you get up from your spot on the porch, turning to look at him.

"then let's go," you smile at him. he leads you back into the house, and wriggles past moving bodies a little too fast for your speed. you try to push past the bodies as fast as he can, your gaze locked on the back of his head as he slowly gets  farther and farther away. he must've noticed the lack of your presence behind him though because you soon found yourself locking eyes with  kind brown orbs as he comes back for you. he doesn't stop until he's within arm's reach and you feel a warm hand interlace his fingers with yours. you gasp at the contact, looking up to find him with a smile on his face. he tugs you closer to himself and leads the way out of the house.

as soon as you reach outside, you let go of your grasp on his hand with slight disappointment. your face felt too hot, and you knew it wasn't from the stuffy air inside the building. you begin fanning your face in an attempt to calm yourself down, looking at anywhere else other than the boy next to you, who was copying your own actions unintentionally.

"thanks....," you trail off, suddenly realizing the obvious. you stop fanning yourself, turning to look at him. "wait. you never told me your name," you furrow your brows. you couldn't believe it, had you really just been about to leave with someone you didn't know the name of? you didn't know how it managed to slip your mind, something as important as his name.

the boy makes a small "oh" before reaching behind his head for the strings of his mask. when the object falls from his face, you feel yourself stiffening as your jaw feels like it dislocates from your own body. not only because wow he was really attractive, but you vaguely recognized him. fishing through your brain, you recalled where you've seen him before. he smiles at your reaction, seemingly satisfied with himself.

"surprised?" he jokes, raising an eyebrow of amusement at you.

"vernon?" you ask in disbelief, even though you already knew the answer. vernon was the absolutely last person you would have thought to be at this party. or maybe not. through your memories you remembered vernon as someone who always lingered around jun. since your best friend was so into the boy, you had begun to recognize him and his friends as well. vernon smiles, the corner of his eyes crinkling as he offers a meek wave.

"wait," you backtrack, recalling the phone call you just had, "so the person jun came here with was you?" you ask and vernon gives you a small nod. you blush, understanding the situation.

"i have something to confess, though," vernon admits, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck as he suddenly was unable properly look at you.

"what?" you inquire curiously. vernon shifts in his spot, looking around at your surroundings before gently taking your hand into his own, pulling you farther down the driveway where it was more isolated. you look up at him curiously, and if you didn't know any better you'd think that he was blushing.

"to be honest.... i wasn't really dragged here against my will...," he starts off. you stay quiet, waiting for him to pull himself together enough for him to continue, "it's more like i disagreed to come until... well, until i found out you were coming." he looks at you expectantly, searching for your reaction. you barely remembered that you still had a mask covering your face and tilt your head in confusion, unsure where he was getting at. vernon clears his throat and this time you were sure you weren't imagining the slight tint of pink in his cheeks.

"i've always been interested in you, _____," you look up at him in shock, realizing that he had recognized you despite the get up, "i just never had the courage to actually come up and say something to you, until now," vernon's voice grows softer and he lowers his gaze, as if he was suddenly losing confidence. you found yourself reaching for his hand before you realize it, as if to comfort him. he jolts at the contact, looking down at you with wide eyes and mouth agape. you smiled at his reaction, gaining more confidence yourself.

"go on, i'm listening," you tease, pushing for him to continue. you had an idea where this was heading, but you wanted to hear the words leave his mouth.

vernon blinks at your response before clearing his throat again, flustered at how bold you were acting. "do you want to go on a date with me?" he asks, and you feel his grip tighten on your hand, bracing himself for your answer. you chuckle at how nervous he looked, and felt, before nodding.

"i'd love to, vernon."

and he’s there and he’s kind of bored as hell as he goes thru the isles of books

and he doesn’t know how the hell he does it but he accidentally knocks over a pile of books onto the floor

and he feels cold sweat form on his skin bc omg omg omg this is a quiet store he’s 100% sure everyone in the store heard him omg what if he gets yelled at

and thats how he meets u :-) the cute person working at the bookstore 

u come in to the same isle as he is and he doesn’t even notice bc he’s frantically trying to pick the books off the floor

and when he finally does notice u is when u help him pick the books off the floor

like his heart nearly jumps out of his chest twice

the first time bc wow u really scared him for a second there like where did u even come from???

and the second time is when he realizes that you’re really really cute and definitely his type

but then when u finish picking up the books he finally snaps out of it and hes like “oh my god im so sorry i didn’t mean to it just.... happened”

so by this point he’s hooked like he wants to know ur name and he wants to know u better

but he ends up leaving the store without knowing either bc he couldn’t muster the courage

wonwoo eventually gets the hint tho and takes him

as soon as he sees u at the cashier he’s like “hey do u remember me?”

and he tries to be smooth as hell and leans on the counter but he kind of slips his elbow off the edge

after coffee you decide he’s a pretty cool guy and you guys end up walking around town

before you guys even know it its late and he offers to walk you home

somehow throughout the date he mustered enough courage around u to say “i want to make sure you’re safe”

and one date turned into two dates and then three and then you guys are official

u learn over time that he’s more than just the cute clumsy kid at the bookstore

like he’s very hardworking and serious about his passions

he brings you to the studio so u can see him work

for ur anniversary he makes a rap for u!!!! and its about how much he likes u and appreciates you being in his life

asks u to hang out a lot, like coming to the dorm w him or to go out for a short walk

when you’re out on dates he likes having his arm around your shoulders or waist

always has his arm draped around u actually

one time u guys go to a carnival and he tries his best at games until he wins u a giant bear

like hes so proud he even tells u to take a picture w it
