now that I think about it, this is sort of outdated in concept. So I’ll fix that!

this is Farore, nicknamed Rory. She’s a shapeshifter, that’s her power. She’s only as powerful as the form she shifts into, with the exception of immortality and invulnerability. I don’t need to describe her colors as she’s up there with them already. Like I’ve said previously, she’s centuries old but a trickster child at heart, and the youngest of the three. They don’t fully understand death, but find it fascinating up until the dead one in question doesn’t come back. Her movements are excited and childish, sort of like an energetic 4 year old. She hangs out in the forest the most, but she can go anywhere, having pretty good temperature vulnerability. Last thing/fun fact: she likes to turn into birds, mostly.

So! This is my au version of Farore. I call them Rory!! Rory is my favorite, if you can’t tell :)

She’s sort of wyvern-like more than draconic, but still the same basic concept. She moves sort of like a rookie knight in 30lb armor? If that makes sense? It’s very blocky, powerful movement. She’s not very fast though as you might assume. And yes, she can fly with those wings! She’s also really resistant to major heat, but will probably freeze if the slightest breeze brushes across her (she likes to stay in the eldin region because of this, but would probably like it in the gerudo region if she could make it over there).

and this is nayru! She’s intentionally a little bit unsettling.

As you might notice, she doesn’t have a halo like the other two. Nayru is the oldest of the three, and this is the prototype of sorts. She was never given a decorative halo. Her wings also work, and the little wing-covers below are just for show. She doesn’t have opposable thumbs btw, which makes for some sort of funny moments where she can’t hold a pen correctly or her favorite mug. Because even goddesses have hobbies and favorite drinks! Her movements are very fluid, smooth, thought out. Think GLaDOs, but not really sinister. Her hair stands up naturallly like that, by the way. It’s like a wall of hair.

more about the au:

I don’t have it all flushed out perfectly in my head yet, but I do have the general idea down. It’s basically a play on LU, but a version where the chain regularly talks to and enlists the help of the goddesses! Rory (Farore) is the one that interacts with the chain the most, on account of being the literal spirit of the forest and land, and the goddess of courage. She’s a shapeshifter! Din here, she’s a more draconic looking goddess, and she’s mostly around death mountain (aka Eldin Volcano in sky’s time). Her special thing is being able to grow/shrink as she pleases, keeping all of her regular strength and power as she does so. This is sort of similar to Rory, but whereas Rory is only as powerful and as big as the form she takes on, Din can be as small as an ant or as big as a mountain, and keep all of her goddess power and supernatural strength. Nayru is a little different. She’s a very fluid, bug-like goddess, and her special thing is that she has heightened senses, as well as being able to see the future easily. She hangs around the Lanayru region, as well as the gerudo desert occasionally. For the sake of world building, these three are the children of Hylia, and they interact as so. Hylia is just sort of the generic see all do all goddess. You get the premise. So you might be asking, what does this do? Well, this ties the goddesses even further into the chain, seeing as Sky in this timeline marries Sun and all, starting the royal family. So the three consider him as sort of a father, Rory the most. This is because Rory is the youngest of the three, as well as a trickster child at heart. She’ll defend anyone she has a bond with to the death. As if she could die anyways. Which means by extension, she’ll protect the chain like no other, even considering some of them as honorary siblings to her (*clears throught* wind and wild). So she helps them, being an occasional annoyance, and constantly scaring them by changing into new, increasingly obscure creatures. She’ll constantly do things that would kill a normal person, and since she appears hylian most of the time to them, she’ll confuse the hell out of everyone but Sky, who knows her little game already, but is playing along for the heck of it.
