I only just got into the Legend of Zelda series a few years ago with BotW, and I absolutely love it. But every time I play through one of the older games, I discover connections to the newer games and find myself baffled by how many people just like, actively refuse to interact with some of the lore.
Like, the Zelda community is such an amazing place for community theorizing and conspiracies, and the people involved are so smart and passionate about this stuff. But then the moment I try saying "Hey, I think the Ancient Robots from SS and all the glowing-green robots from TP might be related to the Zonai Constructs from ToTK"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
or "Hey the ancient guardians from those astral-realm trials kinda look like the Zonai, and also have 3 eyes??"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
or "Hey, ancient mysterious flying islands with blocky Jomun-inspired architecture also appear in Twilight Princess and Four-Swords Adventures..."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"...Do we think the writers had this in mind for longer than we thought? Or maybe they're connecting older unanswered stories to try fleshing out the world's history?"
I'll definitely see a few people point these things out but then I see an overwhelming amount of people who just respond with "hmm. Nope. Can't." or "Stop putting so much thought into it it's not that deep."
Like omg who cares if it's not that deep? What happened to forcing Nintendo to retcon in the "three timeline" thing? Where's the pizzaz? Where's the imagination?
These games are so much fun to try connecting together

Welcome to the masterpost of all [256] of my FavreMySabre AUs/OCs/concepts :]
Feel free to ask questions or just give me a number between 1 and [256]! Or directly ask CWK!Sabre or MCRP!Time for what something means, navigation (i.e., genres, specific characters), or just questions on the multiverse these all belong to!
264 AUs. 256 AUs w/o dsmp, 186 w/o dreams (or dsmp). 8 dsmp-exclusive AUs were included here, I apologize.
Edit: at the bottom of the main list ID, will be a "changelog," where I put additional AUs that I didn't have in the og list. Once a page has been filled, there will be a new picture of it and a proper ID like the original pages.
That way, nothing gets confused. Also, the AU number will change as needed. AU names will most likely stay the same, and if they do change, I will include the og in the changelog.

it's been years since i've posted on here, but i finally finished tears of the kingdom and am in such a post-zelda slump 😭 i've been so connected to these characters for over 7 years now. it feels so weird to say goodbye! here's hoping aonuma didn't really mean it when he said the botw/totk games wouldnt be trilogy...
the timeline is also hurting my head. when do you think the events in totk's past took place? i'm currently thinking after skyward sword and maybe the ancient robots in SS were the precursor to some of the zonai tech
anyways, i have lots and lots of screenshots from totk so will be posting those on here soon! until then...soar long!

Zelda headcanons/theories that I firmly believe with all my heart:
The Twilight Princess Temple of Time dungeon is actually the Light Temple inside the Sacred Realm. The ToT is the entrance to the SR, the dungeon is a tower too tall to fit inside the ToT as we know it looks from the outside, and the symbol of the Light Medallion is all over the place inside of it.
The Oocca and Zonai are connected somehow. Both are said to be closest to the gods, participated in Hyrule's founding, have close ties to the royal family, live in the sky, and made owl statues. Way too many similarities. What the connection is exactly, I'm not sure.
The Zuna from Four Swords Adventures were the Dark Interlopers that became the ancestors of the Twili. They have similar appearances (pale green skin, flat noses) and we know the Zuna dabbled in dark magic in the past because they created the trident of darkness from that game.
The Tower of the Gods in The Wind Waker is a Sheikah shrine. Both were made for the purpose of testing the hero, and the tower has similar constellation/circuitry patterns on the walls. The boss room is even lit up similarly with glowing blue.
After Skyward Sword but before Hyrule as a kingdom was founded, SS Zelda's descendants were religious leaders. TotK saying that Sonia was a priestess before marrying Rauru supports this.
The Twilight Princess sages at Arbiter's Grounds are OoT!Rauru's group of sages. Ganondorf didn't kill them in the child timeline so they didn't have to be replaced with the OoT sages. So the Sage of Light in the Arbiter's Ground cutscene is Rauru.
The Depths from TotK are where Demise came from. SS's prologue says he emerged from a fissure in the earth.
New one: The ancient robots in Skyward Sword are Zonai constructs. The TotK art book that just came out said that the Zonai have been mining since Hylia's era, which is also the era when the SS robots were active, and they were running mines as well. Also, this symbol on the doors of their facility is a rotated Zonai symbol as identified by BotW's art book.

Tears of the Kingdom hot take; It’s not actually the latest in the canon… it would’ve been the first in a repeating cycle.
I’m not talking about like how Majora’s Mask does it with the Song of Time reverting Link to the start of the three day deadline. I mean a cosmic repetition. Let’s break it down:
Bomb Flowers are commonly seen around the caves and underground, yet only super tech from an ancient civilization can make explosives artificially. Bomb Flowers are also nowhere at all in BotW, but plentiful in TotK. It may be true that the BotW had bomb Arrows and barrels, but no organic bomb flowers.
The master sword broke and was ‘restored’ by the light dragon who (it’s already been a few months since the game came out so spoilers are a go ahead), in other words Zelda, an incarnation of the Goddess Hylia who is said in multiple places to be the Goddess of Light and/or Time. The sword is now filled with so much holy, godly energy that if Link didn’t have his arm on loan from the original king he probably wouldn’t have been able to handle.
Notice how Ganondorf was specifically called ‘Demon King’ in multiple accounts of TotK’s plot and takes an appearance similar to the original Demon King Demise. If Zelda hadn’t been able to restore the Master Sword over 10,000 years, he might’ve conquered the world or had to be sealed by the gods all over again.
Ganondorf is also the origin of all monsters. Bokoblins? Moblins? Hinox? All from Ganondorf’s malice.
Bokoblins in both BotW, TotK and Skyward sword hold similar appearances. About human sized goblin creatures.
While the Moblins of BotW and TotK don’t look like Moblins in SS, the Boss Bokoblins do. Large stocky body that lumber over to whack the incarnated hero with lots of sticks.
Freaking floating islands that no doubt would have been Skyloft and it’s accompanying islands a few thousand years down the road.
The map of the regions in SS matches pretty well with BotW and TotK. Eldin Volcano matches up with Death Mountain in the Eldin and Akala regions to the NE.
Faron’s woods matches up with Lanayru, Nacluda and Faron regions being a mix of both a well forested and very watery region.
Lanayru Desert matches up with the Gerudo region pretty nicely with the exception of the robots and greenery, but oh oh the Zonai have a depo deep underground and a swarm of well learned ladies who could easily learn how to reverse engineer the technology for agriculture and mining especially given the Gerudo highlands that are literally a light jaunt away.
The boss Scaldera is eerily alike a pillbug version of a Talos or more likely to be akin to the Marbled Gohma, a similarly single eyed creature that lives in a volcanic region.
The Mucktorok is a being that creates vile sludge that could poison the resilient Zora, likely would be able to even poison a legendary dragon in a strong enough dosage.
The Gibdos in TotK may be more humanoid and more similar to moths, but Lanayru Mining facility has had an awful infestation by a seemingly immortal species of Scorpions.
Rito species could easily be seen as an evolutionary upgrade to the Loftwings, but could also be seen as a predecessor. The Loftwings aren’t simple birds, but a clever species able to respond to complex instructions and respond to the unique whistles of their chosen riders. This is especially likely as the region might’ve just kept growing colder and colder until the Rito race have to adapt to new surroundings.
Nit every Goron had been corrupted by the Marbled Gohma. The young could have fled Death Mountain after all the corrupted Gorons killed eachother over the Marbled Roast. Maybe becoming a race of nomads like they were in SS.
Zelda was able to restore herself with the help of Link, Sonia and Rauru at the end of the game, so it’s likely the other three roaming dragons that loop around Hyrule (Farosh, Naydra and Dinraal) could regain a modicum of sense in time to help restore a few regions to sense, and all three relate to the elements of the sacred dragons of Skyward Sword (Faron and Naydra have water and ice based abilities respectively, Eldin and Dinraal are fire based, Lanayru and Farosh are electric based).

Explaining A Chronological LOZ Timeline
(Based on this post)
First, the elephant in the room: Skyward Sword
How does Skyward Sword come after Spirit Tracks?
Well, as we know the world was flooded by the goddesses in the adult timeline of OOT which triggered the events of the Wind Waker. Then after WW/PH, Tetra goes on to sail to new lands and found the kingdom of New Hyrule as we know it over a hundred years later in Spirit Tracks.
Tumblr media
With Spirit Tracks having extensive train systems, why stop there? The longer the kingdom stands, the structure and technology of New Hyrule will only continue to improve. Like build large temples and cisterns to honor the spirits or advanced tech like robots in the distant future. Maybe even ones to help them mine resources or man pirate ships to continue exploring the Great Sea (Tetra was a pirate first, after all).
But then there was another terrible war on the surface and the goddesses couldn’t flood the land again to save its people. Out of options, there’s no where else to go but up, and Hylia hid her people in the skies until the war was ended. It’s not like godly intervention is a new concept in this timeline. During the Era of the Sky, some of the flood began to rescind, drying up waters to expose sandy deserts and new lands on the surface.
Thus, the ancient temples of Faron and robots in the Sand Sea of Lanayru in Skyward Sword could come from New Hyrule and part of the Great Sea in Spirit Tracks.
Like cmon, they literally have robot pirates!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And New Hyrule already contains interesting clans and races not seen before in other zelda games like the Lokomo and Anouki. It’s not far off to think other unique peoples like the Kwikwi or Mogma once inhabited the same continent.
Furthermore, remember how the recruits of the royal guards/knights of Spirit Tracks wore specific uniforms that model the WW hero’s clothes? What if one of those recruits happened to survive and be sent to Skyloft? They could have wanted to pass on their knowledge and founded the Knight’s Academy, retaining the knight uniforms as a way to preserve their history. Of course, the meaning behind the uniforms was later forgotten since they end up changing up the uniform color every year. It was only by luck (or destiny) that SS Link happened to get the green version of the uniform.
Basically, my reasoning for SS coming far after ST is the ancient temples/robots, Lanayru sand sea, unique species, and knight’s uniforms all come from New Hyrule.
But what about the Master Sword?
Tumblr media
For the most part, we know the blade of evil’s bane is a silver sword with a purplish handle. The iconic look that Fi is based off in the first place, right?
Except, some iterations of the master sword are blue. Or the little diamond-shaped gaps of the hilt are inconsistent, being blue or green or purple (with the crossing ribbons part being green in this case), or are missing altogether. Hell, the MS isn’t even present in the original 1986 game.
Sure, some of these minor color changes can be attributed to graphical limitations or different art styles per game. But what about all the transformations the sword has gone under like the drastic red and gold color changes of an upgraded MS in ALTTP/ALBW? How do we go from a thin, white and light green Goddess Sword forged into the larger blade in SS?
Tumblr media
(I made a powerpoint infographic :D)
That's why I propose the master sword isn't one single blade, but rather a title given to multiple swords throughout the years. It already has legendary, grandiose titles like "The Blade of Evil's Bane" and "The Sword That Seals The Darkness" so why not 'The Sword of the Master' which would've gotten shortened to 'The Master Sword' over time. But not just any random sword can be deemed the MS. It's the hero of the sword, the wielder of it, that makes it the worthy blade of a master.
That way it includes the first hero of TLOZ wields the "magical sword" who hadn't yet become a master or how the hero of men forges the Picori Blade which later becomes the Four Sword in MC. And explains how the master sword seems to change locations between the Lost Woods or temples all the time. They're all different blades.
Yes, some Master Swords can be retained between generations though. I'd be willing to say the sword from OOT is the same in TP or the one forged in SS is the same one in BOTW/TOTK for instance (since Fi's chime can be heard in TOTK).
Tumblr media
But how does Demise's curse and the reincarnation cycle fit into this?
During the end of Skyward Sword, Demise speaks these final words:
"My hate...never perishes. It is born anew in a cycle with no end! I will rise again! Those like you... Those who share the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero... They are eternally bound to this curse. An incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind, dooming them to wander a blood-soaked sea of darkness for all time."
Usually, this is interpreted as Demise declaring this Link and Zelda as the first of an eternal cycle and Ganondorf is his reincarnation. Yet in the Skyward Sword manga, there is a whole other hero who fought for Hylia before the reincarnated SS hero, so how can the SS hero before the first iteration who 'started' the reincarnation cycle?
Tumblr media
Remember when Demise says 'those with the blood of the goddess and spirit of the hero are forever bound to this curse/cycle.' What if he isn't saying 'I am actively binding you two (Link and Zelda) to a curse I'm creating right now' as is the common interpretation. Rather, he could be saying 'there is a pre-existing curse that you two are already bound to, and only a god like me can perceive it. So I'm pointing it out to you now because I'm adding more to it.'
It's a bit of a stretch but bare with me.
Yes, Ganondorf/Ganon is seen as the reincarnation of Demise. I mean they tend to have similar builds and the same striking orange-red hair, right? But there several other villains in the franchise that don't remotely resemble Demise or his hatred. In fact, the only time Ganondorf looks like a true reincarnation of Demise is during TOTK (more on this in a bit).
Instead, there's something greater at play. Demise supposedly locks these two souls in reincarnation but fails to acknowledge why the triforce always seems to be a part of this cycle as well. Link is always the representation of courage and Zelda is always wisdom even when these souls are reincarnated as completely different people.
Tumblr media
The only explanation I can think of is that the golden goddesses created Link and Zelda's souls to permanently embody their triforces. They locked these two in reincarnation as insurance to keep peace and order in the world when there is a threat or thief of the triforce of power. Sorta like a system of balance, their souls were put in place to keep the more volatile of the three triforces, power, in check if it got out of hand. As mortals, Link and Zelda wouldn't really be aware of the inherent duty/burden placed on their souls but it would be more obvious to an outside deity like Demise. That's why these specific versions of Link and Zelda are only really ever reincarnated when there is any sort of threat to Hyrule to deal with, not just Ganon but also Vaati, Zant, Yuga, Cole, etc.
Besides the reincarnation cycle theory, Demise definitely did declare that his hatred would be reincarnated in SS though. But it's not just every iteration of Ganon. With the greater extent of destruction that Demise causes compared to most zelda villains, I'd go so far as to say the battle against Ghirahim and Demise in the events of SS were the first Calamity from BOTW. The second Calamity was that of the Sheikah, the ancient Zonai hero, and the Divine Beast detailed 10,000 years before the events of BOTW/TOTK. And the third Calamity was the events of not just BOTW, but also TOTK.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know, the era when the physical embodiment of hatred (aka malice and gloom) poisoned the land, when the hero and most of the kingdom was killed, and when rehydrated Ganondorf looked eeriely more similar to Demise than any other Ganon. It matches up a little too well with how 'an incarnation of Demise's hatred' will haunt them forever. Especially when there is a giant valley on the BOTW map literally called The Breach of Demise.
More to come about how the other games fit into this timeline au. Let me know your thoughts and ideas!

I know many zelda fans are like, "The past events in totk is before Skyward sword!" When.. I think the implication is that Skyward Sword is somewhat a retelling of the events.. and it is still the first in the timeline.
Let me explain.
Skyward sword is still the first and is set first mainly because.. well, Hyrule did not exist in Skyward sword..the master sword is THE MASTER SWORD in Rauru's time, not as the Goddess sword. The Zora sage.. wouldn't be a Zora. She would be her ancestral species; the Parella.
Tumblr media
Gorons in skyward sword were nomadic, so they wouldn't be living in death mountain til Rauru's time if this took place first. Gorons used to be scholars rather than miners and wrestle loving sweeties so I think when a king rosed to power they were forced to put down the books and start digging (hense why many knowleges of ss Link's time is gone)
Kikwis are nonexistent in Rauru's time (probably died off from being hunted by bokoblins) and the ancient robots I think were made by the sheikahs with some help with ancient Zonais! Cause the style is close to sheikah tech and we know Sheikahs remained on the surface while Hylia only selected the ancient Hylians.
Demise is also a massive factor to consider because, like..he's why so many shit went into motion. He isn't Ganondorf, but his hatred is the whole reason villains like Ganon and Vaati even started. I think the Ganondorf in totk is a different Ganondorf from..well oot, tp, and wind waker. I think totk!Ganondorf is the first Ganondorf in the timeline and is the whole reason why hyrule is so harsh and hostile towards the Gerudos. (Not justified at all but I wouldn't doubt the hylian would think that)
Now the clothes you might ask. The citizens of skyloft wore nicer clothes!
I'm just gonna chalk it up to "it's a story and people don't have a clue what these sky fucks wore" but I imagine it's cold up there..so skyloft citizens wore warm clothing while in hyrule it's warmer.
"Where are the zonai in ss?" Okay, first of all, the zonai were not a thought in Nintendo's eye when ss was created.. and I just think they weren't even abundant by the time sky!link and sky!zelda came down from the sky. Also, in Skyward Sword, you can only enter 3 areas, and it seems Rauru and Minaru were in central hyrule..so the possibility by the time hylians joined, many of the zonais were jamming it there cause they didn't want the drama- or they needed more resources.
I think zonais extinction was caused by infighting judging by the dragons in totk or just..the demon wars with Demise and never really recovered after that.
Conclusion for now.
Skyward sword
Rauru's time as king
Minish cap
Than Ocarina of time.

Remaining questions about TOTK after 250h+
Why are they zonai animals back then?
What was the inspiration on the culture of the zonai and ancient era?
Why was hylia a satori looking animal in the picture?
Is there still legitimate connection to skyward sword?
If there is where does that put skyward sword and the zonai in the timeline?
The dragons, were they the first the deities that were explained in oot? Or were they zonai?
What was the use of the lanayru promenade? Why is it there? What does it correlate to skyward sword? I LOVE SKYWARD SWORD LORE
Robots in the sky look alot like skyward sword robots, are they the same?
The depths are filled with ancient hero tunics, why?
The depths seem to be filled with dark statues, where did they come from?
Why does it look like the depths is filled with plants that are from under water?
There was a tree gone then,, i heard though that the tree was the deku tree in oot? but that might be wrong. Im just so what HAPPEND HERE?!?
Tumblr media
THE ANCIENT HERO was a zonai animal kinda dude?
10000 years ago, so does that put skyward sword even earlier? Or later? Since mastersword forged before the 10k old battle right?
You know what no im sure skyward sword was before the zonai, bc im thinking about how the world was set up back then and no nonono it has to be ss then zonai…

Okay I know this isn't at all what this post is about but I'm gonna take this opportunity to share my theory on how the Zonai, Skyloft, and TP's Sky People all fit together.
The thing is, apparently, they don't. In SS, Link and Zelda found Hyrule after descending from Skyloft, and I guess you could say that the Sky People from TP came from Skyloftians who didn't want to come down. But TOTK gives the Zonai credit for founding Hyrule. How do we reconcile these? With the old Zelda classic, alternate timelines, of course!
According to the Hyrule Historia, OoT split the timeline - one timeline where Ganon was stopped as an adult, one timeline where child Link kept Ganon away, and one timeline where Link failed. From this, we learn that a time paradox (Link both stabbed Ganon and went back in time so he never had to stab Ganon) causes the Zelda timeline to split. Funnily enough, Skyward Sword features time travel too, right at the end. Spoilers for a decade-old game incoming, but at the end, Link uses the Triforce to squish Demise under a giant island. Ghirahim then steals Zelda and goes back in time to revive Demise in the past - and succeeds! - but then Link goes back and stabs Demise in the chest, earning the curse that starts off the Zelda timeline. Another time paradox arises - how could Link squish Demise in the present if he'd already stabbed and obliterated him in the past? And so the timeline splits in two.
In the main Zelda timeline, Link squishes Demise and retrieves Zelda from her brief (and horrifying) jaunt to the past, and the two of them take Demise's curse into the other Zelda games. But in the past timeline, Skyloft had only just been cast up to the sky - with all the advanced technology included, the tech that let them make the robots in Lanayru and build the Ancient Cistern - and didn't let that technology decay for hundreds of years. The surface prospered, rather than collapsing with the goddess Hylia sealed in a mortal body, since Demise's forces weren't raging all around it. But Skyloft never came down, until the Hylians - who became Zonai after so long in isolation, actually using their technology instead of living in fear of that tech connecting to the monster-ridden surface - brought it down on purpose, founding an alternate Hyrule. That timeline had no curse of Demise, no Master Sword, and an eternally slumbering goddess Hylia.
But wait, you say! BOTW had to be a part of the main timeline - Fi speaks to Zelda through the Master Sword, Urbosa references Nabooru from the main timeline, and many other such shoutouts. How can TOTK, a direct sequel, be from the other timeline? That's the weirdest part. BOTW supposedly took place far in the distant future, after the three timelines split by OoT rejoined. So... what's to say one more timeline can't join back in? In fact, the other timeline rejoined the main timeline BETWEEN BOTW and TOTK. That's why nobody ever fell into the Depths before and no Rito saw the sky islands before now, why the tunnels below the castle remained undisturbed and nobody ever heard of the Zonai, why the Light Dragon was never seen before TOTK - their timeline hadn't rejoined yet, they didn't exist until suddenly they had always been there. Zelda is sent back in time and Demise's curse echoes back through time to bring forth Ganondorf, and the timelines rejoin with a bang.
Some people say the Legend of Zelda series has too many different ancient sky-dwelling precursor civilisations. I say those people are cowards. The next Zelda game should feature the ruins of an ancient sky-dwelling precursor civilisation whose statues and murals all inexplicably look exactly like Tingle.

Q3) Understanding Fastener Strength and Load Capacity
Ans) Fastener strength and load capacity are vital considerations in engineering and construction, as they determine the fasteners' ability to endure forces and loads without experiencing failure. A thorough understanding of these aspects is essential when selecting fasteners for specific applications, ensuring safety and reliability. Here's an overview of fastener strength and load capacity:
1. Fastener Strength:
   - Tensile Strength: This refers to a fastener's resistance to being pulled apart along its length. It is crucial for applications where the joint experiences tension forces. Higher tensile strength allows the fastener to handle greater loads before breaking.
   - Shear Strength: Shear strength pertains to a fastener's resistance to forces applied parallel to its axis, causing it to slide or shear across the joint. It is vital for applications subjected to lateral or sideways forces.
   - Yield Strength: Yield strength is the maximum stress a fastener can endure without undergoing permanent deformation. Once this limit is surpassed, the fastener experiences plastic deformation and may not return to its original shape.
   - Proof Load: The proof load represents the maximum load a fastener can withstand without experiencing permanent deformation. It is typically a percentage of the fastener's yield strength and serves as a safety margin to ensure the fastener's integrity.
2. Load Capacity:
   - Working Load Limit (WLL): The working load limit is the maximum load a fastener is designed to handle in a specific application. It considers the fastener's strength, the materials it joins, environmental conditions, and safety margins.
   - Ultimate Load Capacity: This refers to the maximum load a fastener can support before failing. While it is generally higher than the working load limit, it is essential not to exceed the working load limit to maintain a safety margin.
Factors Affecting Fastener Strength and Load Capacity:
Material: The choice of material significantly influences fastener strength. Common materials include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium, each with distinct strength characteristics.
Diameter and Length: Thicker and longer fasteners typically have higher load capacities due to their increased cross-sectional area.
Thread Type: Fine threads distribute loads over a larger surface area, providing better strength in certain applications compared to coarse threads.
Installation and Torque: Proper installation, including applying the correct torque, ensures that the fastener performs at its rated strength.
Environmental Conditions: Extreme temperatures, moisture, and corrosive environments can affect the strength and performance of fasteners.
Engineers and professionals must consider specific application requirements and adhere to industry standards and guidelines to select fasteners with adequate strength and load capacity. Overloading or using substandard fasteners can lead to joint failures, compromising the safety and performance of structures and machinery.

Okay this WILL BE SPOILERS. For totk.
THE GREAT PLATEAU IS CURSED I DONT LIKE IT ToT.
Made it here fine! Easy cruising altitude got the map landed no problem. Minimal enemies. There's a YIGA camped in MY MFING SHRINE OF RESURRECTION. It's all overgrown, that's fine ig, but the YIGA?? Get tf. Out.
Go see the temple, a new message from hylia! Very ominous, but yes ma'am! Off we go to free her from the water under the stone gate. Which gate? Well my first thought was the main blocked off entrance that's now a pond. But let's get a shrine first.
Shrine?? Hello???!
So not only is each original shiekah shrine now a pit to tartarus, there's only one new shrine tucked in the back end of the plateau where a goblin camp used to be. Fine! I'll just run everywhere on foot with my +1 stamina, shall I??
No! It's time for a wtf to hunt you down! The air will turn red with racing clouds, the sky is dark, music is playing backwards, I'm launching myself up the nearest tree and it still isn't fast enough. This is literally the fifth or sixth time I've encountered these, at least two directly ending in my death. They don't even get a question mark from the camera unlike any other miasma monster (for example the depth enemies). I've filled them with bomb arrows and it's made a fraction of a dent in one of them. Hateful hydra eye arm things. They're FAST and TALL. It's like the spindly flesh monster from oot but a hundred times worse. They nearly managed to reach me in the tallest tree!
They eventually leave - whatever triggers their disappearance I truly cannot tell - and grab the dark shards they leave. Okay! Cool! Unappreciated! I go into the pit by the lake, it is VERY SCARY, I get some light roots and reveal a whole civilisation! Giant zelda statues point to an enormous building in the shadows, I pluck up my courage and go over. ???? It's a poe eater statue. Enormous. Full bodied. Stretching down below the bridge I'm on. It's got six sunken eyes and they're all looking at me. I'm absolutely begging this thing not to move, I'm literally inching closer. This isn't a zonai carving at all, this isn't even a zonai room. They've dug into the rock, they DISCOVERED it.
It says the same thing.
I'm terrified. I'm beginning to think that whatever talked to me through the hylia statue, in the temple of time, with her voice and her light, isn't hylia.
Still, I've come too far to back out. I don't think denying this thing is wise.
Up I go! Run all the way from the shrine, off the edge, detour to find a new type of cave goblin or two, blow up the blocked entrance to the plateau. Through the carvings I can make out sort of a face? Hope it's hylia!
It. It isn't. It's the six eyed triangle face that eats souls :). Tells me to go back to the temple. I run onto the plateau (!!! Botw me would be so excited), get ambushed by four black armoured Bokoblins in a row, see 'hylia'. It tells me to bring its body in the depths stones from the four ex shrine pits 'for a reward'.
Nintendo.
