Lol I was actually wrong (low-key got my information from a guy hitting on me in my dms) it's actually 11 BILLION. Ppl thought it was overfishing but like nobody is fishing 11 BILLION CRABS and it took like loads of smart people to find out it was because waters are getting warmer and the crabs were overheating and dying. So kinda not a fun fact. Depressing global warming fact.

AN ACTUAL FUN FACT IS the Standard English we use in formal documents and stories (e.g compound sentences, conventional grammar and spelling, standard tense use) isn't like the correct English everyone has been using for all of time. It's the English people used in London (specifically London not the whole of England, England used many regional written dialects) when the printing press was introduced. Because of that, that english was spread around the country and to other English speaking countries. That then became the typical document and letter writing English which was important for people who had important jobs. Important jobs meant good education, so that London English dialect was taught in schools. Slowly it just became a standard! That's why a linguist will never call anything incorrect English. It's not incorrect! It's just non standard :)
