Just finished giving this a read in my attempt to catch up on all the manga I’ve bought in the past few months. Got to say, I enjoyed it...to a point. The art was cute and the story was too. But it ended rather abruptly for me? And it was a lot of the same jokes over and over again. This was another cute shojo manga I picked up on a whim because the art looked adorable. Then I realised that the story also was freaking adorable so, I ordered the entire series. Okay. This volume came into my home and forcibly beat me in the face with emotions until I was one more sad moment away from a breakdown. Day 17: Favourite Movie for Mizu’s #marchaboutyou ~ . Again, I picked my favourite anime movie and my favourite movie movie. Howl’s Moving Castle is my favourite Ghibli movie. It touches something deep inside of me and I always get so emotional watching it. Plus it’s gorgeous. And then Memoirs of a Geisha! Admittedly I saw the movie before I read the book but it didn’t ruin the experience for either for me. In fact it just made me love it all the more. The acting was phenomenal and again it was a bittersweet story about a woman’s journey into a world she should not have been forced into. Despite everything and all her hardships she grows and while she doesn’t find a happy end, she is able to find comfort in her growth. Day 15: Favourite Book for Mizu’s #marchaboutyou ~ . I decided to do my favourite manga and my favourite book! Of course Tokyo Mew Mew is my fave! It was my very first one as well! Mine is in really rough shape but it’s still dear to me. And Captive Prince, a book I picked up on a recommendation from an online friend. An amazing story featuring political intrigue, wars, and a budding romance between two kings of rivaling countries as they try to learn to trust one another from very polluted pasts.
