Here’s an update to this post after like a year: my amazing mother took it upon herself to conduct unbiased research and to try to get up to date on current events in hopes of understanding the state of the world. In doing so, she quickly became a supporter of BLM, the progressive movement, green energy, wealth taxation, universal healthcare, free education, and other very liberal/leftist policies/ideologies. She voted for Bernie Sanders in the 2020 primary elections and Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

Even if she had nurtured her former moderate views more, I would have supported her because she took the initiative to educate herself. Now, we bond over politics, too.

So, my mother and I got into an argument when I voiced my support for the BLM movement, the Minneapolis protests, etc. I was sent to my room and I just...yeah:

I have problems with heart palpitations and elevated heart rate after I take my meds in the morning and when I have an anxiety/sensory overload episode, and I’m guessing that that’s kind of a common thing. One thing I’ve discovered that helps me get my HR back to normal so I don’t faint/have a panic attack?

I love music with all my heart but sometimes, Paparazzi by Lady Gaga (115 bpm per this site) is too frickin’ fast for my stupid heart muscle to calm tf down to. So, I discovered that a slowed-down, deeper key remix of the song exists—and let me tell you, Paparazzi being one of my favorite songs, this remix has helped me a LOT.

Don’t worry, it’s not anything intense at all. For my PSYCH101 course midterm, I am supposed to find an example of correlation and evaluate its connection to statistics in psychology (because my dumbass chose unit 3 smh)—so naturally I’m doing the exact opposite and finding a counter example.

Hypothesis: Two unrelated variables, when tested to determine the extent of their correlation, yield results that suggest validity rather than indicate a confounded study.

What you have to do:
