Hello hello, long time no hear!

I've not been playing TS2 again, but this time instead of being sucked into another video game again, I have been taken in by a new hobby... colouring books! 🤩😍📚 I've been doing it since the end of May, and have added and removed various new & second hand books from my stash and been using a strange mix of cheap & second-hand markers.

I'm now very pleased with myself because lots of my original markers have run out, and I've worked out what I like and dislike colouring so have gotten my books down to 23, which means my Kallax shelf can probably hold another 20 and perhaps I can also treat myself to some new decent markers (Prime Day is coming 😈).

Does anyone else enjoy this hobby? I find it so relaxing, even though I don't do all the fancy stuff others do just simple, in fact I go outside the lines a fair bit too 🙈🤭

Not had my Steam account back yet and they've clearly been trying to use my email address for other accounts as they've been trying to log into other places constantly, which is not fun for someone with GAD. Thankfully I think they've failed to access anything, but lots of password changing and two-factor authenticating by me today.

Good thing about good old The Sims 2, no need for accounts so can play anytime!

Just been humbled... here I am thinking I'm a pretty internet-literate, intelligent person, and I fell for the stupidest, most cliche scam of someone saying my Steam account had been reported, need to prove I am innocent yada yada yada.

They got me while I was half paying attention, half trying to get my kids ready for bed etc., and bish bash bosh, my email address and phone number changed from the account and can no longer log in, change password etc. I'm so fucking dumb for falling for it but yeah, I was caught at a bad time.

Don't talk to randomers directly on Steam. Don't talk to 'Steam Support' via discord or even Steam chat. Just... don't be a fucking moron like me. Urgh. Now while waiting for Steam to hopefully reinstate my account, why is it that the only things I want to do revolve around playing games on Steam :(

I feel like this creation by @alfredaskew needs more people to know about it, love it and use it too! It's a default eye add-on set, which basically means you expand the default eye options in game! They show in CAS with the other default maxis eyes and have maxis-style thumbnails. It's cool as if you grow tired of some eyes you can just edit them and not worry about the drama from removing custom eyes.

AlfredAskew made a bunch of sets using some eye sets, but it's easy enough to edit the files with your own favourite eye sets, which is what I did :D Maybe I'll share them some time. SEE IT HERE

I made over the trade school lot linked above, making it 5x5 rather than 5x6, removing the Deans cottage and just tweaks etc.

I also added in some career rewards, DeeDee's Woodworking Bench and the Opportunity Pack Lectern. Just need to add in some fun posters and it's ready! I can see someone like Dustin Broke attending here to learn a trade, and maybe Ripp Grunt.

Whereas a sim like Justin Cleveland might opt for a Gap Yah😎☀️

I'm debating making it an option for certain types of sims who don't go to university to instead have a funded 'gap year darling'. Where they go to one of the vacation destinations for 5 days to learn and experience different cultural things, to make up for all the useful stuff young adults learn and experience during their university days. It's good as they don't age during vacations, so depending on how I decide to go about it I can get them to be the right age rather than end up older than their university-graduate counterparts.

There's also the idea of sending them to 'trade school' I've seen mentioned places a few times. So perhaps another option for those less academically inclined, moving them into a special residental lot either the last day of teenhood or first day of adulthood and turning aging off while there. Have a bunch of hobby & badge items, those podiums where people can come give talks etc.

(Look at me pretending I actually play my game often enough to worry about this).

Hello, today I replaced basegame female child hair cfhairpigtails with Lolipop Chainsaw Juliet, converted 3t2 by @profesionalpartyguest.

Polycount is 3.9k. Textures are Profesionalpartyguest's, but I tweaked the colours to be more similar to my usual Pooklet Dynamite, Depth Charge, Pyrotechnic and Volatile. This hair is for CF only. All hair colours have the pink scrunchies :)

Hello, here's a fun one! A texture-only default replacement for AFBodyFurCoatShortDressShoes, replaced with a fabulous retexure by RocketHorse originally found here on GoS.

I only slightly tweaked the colour of the choker.

If you fancy having a preg morph, I use the one in the TS2 folder from here (a great source if you don't already know it, for morphs added to AF maxis clothes).

I won't be buying anything unless it's something proper out of this world, but I'm excited for more people to play the Sims 2 and maybe stream and do YouTube videos, and for those who already do both those things to get more views with all this hype 👍

unironically what i would want from a rerelease/remaster is a genuine fix for the pink flashing and crashes, a 64bit version and reworked shaders (phong instead of the patchy gouraud). I don't need anything crazy like adding new gameplay or features, just some touchups.

I fear we will get none of those, but what we will get is a hefty price tag

I have a question about Edited Models for Modding Objects- do theý work for all versions of the mods? for example, there a couple of edits and updates to the visitor controller around and I was wondering if your edited models also work with these or if they are only for the original versions of these objects?

Hi anon! No, I've only edited the versions of the mods which I linked to. However if you are SimPE savvy you can extract and replace the text file below into the version you want to use, and edit these lines so you know what they are, and it should work :)

I chose Bluewater Village` as there's lots of locally owned businesses and places to visit, but isn't too built up and still nice and green. No dreadful neighbours either. Veronaville is close for aesthetics, but I can't be bothered with all the drama (I keep that in my games for IRL!). I'd like to visit Takemizu Village for a trip :)

But yeah who's choosing Strangetown? Isolated desert with a serial killer on the loose and nothing to do but count grains of sand and avoid the neighbours.

Has anyone successfully installed the alt simsurgery plugin with this newest simPE? It's not showing up on mine and it's a must have for me!

so all this time ive been rocking the 2019 version of simpe but i just checked out the new version updated december 2024 and bruh??? These terrain editing tools????

the hours ive toiled away hex editing road tiles, fighting with sc4 and the modifyNeighborhoodTerrain cheat... this is going to be such a game changer...

i also noticed this, not sure what it does exactly but intriguing for stories games enjoyers 👀

this version does come bundled with some external tools plastered with chris hatch's signature titty pinup ladies but simpe itself is titty-free now as far as i can tell lmao

EDIT: apparently it's not quite as titty-free as i thought dfkdjgkgk, the source code is full of horny nonsense although most of it doesn't seem to apply without chris hatch's other stuff installed. but there is some unnecessarily sexualized language in the new sim profile feature and some other places, it's pretty easy to ignore but maybe someone can figure out how to edit those strings...
