As for the art, I had to compromise on the reflection. I drew the wolf with the lineart and all, but I had to blur it for the ripple effect

I think adding extra fog on the water with the reflection on wasn't the best choice either, but I decided I'm not going back to fix that 😂

This was inspired by a picture of two seagulls on some water that I saw floating around here, but it strayed too much from the reference

Had to challenge myself to do this hard-shaded, because I'm too comfortable with soft shading

[After Dark is playing] The warmth brushing against his face made him creek his eyes open, light blinding his eyes. Blocking out the light with one hand, Astarion blinked away the drowsiness of sleep, hearing the soft chirp of birds.

The rays of light that passed through his fingers surprised him, moving his hand away to see the sun shining as bright as he had once remembered it.

“My dear… Darling, look at the sun-” But looking around him, Astarion found himself alone. Far worse, there was a box containing him, and dirt was coming down onto him.

His eyes darting around, he tried clawing his way out, reaching for the walls of dirt that threatened to collapse onto him, “W-What’s happening!? Who- Who are you? Do you not hear me?! I’m alive, you cannot do this!”

No matter how much he shouted, the figure overhead didn’t flinch, and as his hand reached out for the sun that he longed to see and live under again, his eyes pained, his teeth gritted in great effort-

The sun accentuated the features of the figure that was burying him.

”Cazador… No- No, it- it cannot be. You can’t be here, this-” His breath caught up in his throat when the sun was obscured by a figure, different than the one he first saw. Grander.

”Barry, my dear… You-” He could only mutter one more word before the horror continued…

”Why?” [Wheel of Emotion is playing]

”Hon? Hon, wake up, hey,” Barry shook their already shaking partner, he seemed to be trapped in a nightmare he couldn’t wake up from.

Barry had been woken up by its partner’s hands clawing all around him, accidentally gripping onto Barry’s violet simple shirt they wore that night. As Astarion’s breathing quickened, Barry’s eyes darted around their lover’s face, for any signs that he might wake up-

Sitting up on its knees, Barry was about to grab hold of Astarion’s shoulders when the vampire sprung up with a terrific gasp, heavy breathing overcoming him as his eyes darted around the room, finding his beloved and shaking his head in disbelief, the confusion of the nightmare washing over him.

”Hon, my Star, you are free,” Their big, gentle hand took hold of Astarion’s own, its eyes now set onto its partner as they didn’t press closer to him, “You’re home, with me. We left to adventure together, remember?”

Despite the drowsiness of sleep and the adrenaline of fear, Astarion didn’t hesitate to cling onto that hand like a life-line with his own. Listening to his partner’s voice, Astarion breathed in, then out, almost as if guided by Barry’s own breathing, his chest expanding and falling under his disheveled frilled simple white shirt.

They stood like that for a good while, in silence as Astarion followed Barry’s breathing, nodding to himself as his adrenaline began wearing off and his heartbeat slowed down. Barry’s free hand came over their already intertwined hands, a much needed anchor of safety for the man before them.

”It,” Astarion took a deep, slow breath,”it was simply a dream, my dear, you needn’t worry.”

Barry wasn’t conviced that to be the case in the slightest, but despite that, they nodded, giving a hum as it looked to their intertwined hands, Astarion’s both hands with its.

Bringing their hands to their mouth, Barry brushed its lips over the back of Astarion’s hand, to which its partner was flattered by, a genuine small smile spreading on his lips briefly.

”You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to.You’ve got this.”

Astarion sighed in relief, “Thank you, love, for trusting me. I’ve got this, and you’ve gotten me, as well.”

Smiling, Barry itched closer to momentarily give Astarion their shoulder to lean on.

Eventually, Barry decided to get out of bed, leading their partner with them. It would be best to do what they were best at, and distract Astarion’s mind from those distressing nightmares. [I Hear A Symphony is playing]

”I used to hear a simple song,” Their voice carried out softly, and Astarion’s eyes looked into those beautiful, calm moonstones of Barry’s, “That was until you came along.”

The warmth of Barry’s body so close to him, Astarion followed the steps by with his partner swayed with him, in a slow, simple dance.

”Now in its place is something new, I hear it when I look at you.”

”Is that so, my dear? My charms must be working on you,” Its’ partner’s comment made Barry chuckle out of its song, but they continued the slow dance regardless, eyes on one another.

Moving their hands, Barry held one of Astarion’s still, but the other rested on their partner’s shoulder, while Astarion’s over hand was hugging their wast.

”With simple songs I wanted more,” Looking at the moon in the sky, Barry continued “Perfection is so quick to bore.”

Leaning closer, Astarion’s mind began wandering off from the dream, a grin in his eyes, “Oh my, Darling. Don’t you know perfection is the killjoy of creativity?”

Giggling, Barry spun around with its partner, “Will you stop that?”

”No, I believe I will not.”

Both shared a chuckle, and Barry’s voice pierced through the dense night, “You are more beautiful by far,” their eyes softened, their voice a whisper in the wind, “Our flaws are who we really are.”

”It would be a shame if you found me as anything but, darling,” Before Barry could respond, Astarion’s hand moved from its hip to its face, “For you are even more magnificent than I am.”

Blinking, Barry was left at a loss for words, their cheeks dusted pink in the moonlight, Astarion rubbing a thumb over their cheek. Barry leaned into the hand with a smile, knowing Astarion was going to be okay.

Knowing there were no words that could describe how much Astarion meant to it, Barry decided that its song and their dance could be the feelings it had no other words for.

Picking up the pace in their dance, Barry leaned away, one hand holding onto Astarion’s outstretched one, their bodies in sync with one another as the singer hummed the tune to the song.

Twirling around each other together, their feet moved together, left, and right, in the front, in the back, and twirl again.

”I used to hear a simple song,” Barry’s voice grew louder and stronger with each word, their head gesturing closer to Astarion, “That was until you came along!”

Stepping back from one another, their hands still together on each other, Barry’s voice sung its heart out, “You took my broken melody, and now I hear a symphony!”

Stepping closer to one another again, they continued their dance, entranced into one another, the swirls around one another symbolic to them, stepping back and close to one another, until they ended looking into each others eyes in a comfortable silence.

Astarion could see his own reflection in those moonstones, and so could Barry in those crimson gems.

Taking up Astarion’s face in their hands, Barry whispered softly, a smile in their eyes and on their lips, “And now I hear a symphony.”

The man couldn’t help but blink through his emotions, a silent puff of air escaping his lips as the smile spreading on his lips took hold of him.

”You truly are something else, my love. I’m a symphony,” His eyes looked up with joy, caught up in his own head, before grinning, “It’s beyond perfect. Thank you. Secret santa for @paradisedisconcert from the @alnst-secret-santa event!! This is my sideblog to @dragonidpyrus12 ^^ I'll send over the unwatermarked version in DMs after! Merry Christmas guys! I've had lots of fun brainstorming and drawing this, especially since I wanted to showcase the dynamic between these two! They're in a church like setting, while Hyuna is sitting on a throne of marble... Almost like they're marrying! After all, Hyuna is the ruler of Luka's heart... :D There's also the stained glass, I went with it having multiple colors to look almost shattered and confusing, almost like how these two pull each other in and out. I'm so sorry I couldn't get anything else done, but I hope you'll like this! 🙏

Yugi sad and angry…of course Ikari would be born. This was an easy one to do plus felt like drawing Ikari (well…part of him at least)

[Dragon AU] - Ben Tennyson Reference Sheet

TW/CW: Gore (more specifically: organ showing)

I'm finally done with this! I decided agains making this ref sheet like the one I did for a bakugan with a bunch of tiny text with info in it.

If you want to know about his backstory, I'm unable to provide that atm as I want it to be part of the story. The big text thingy is on the photo so I won't repeat myself.

Ben is a dragon alien that's part anodyte. A herritage from his grandparents in genes. You'll notice that the design is close to the one of the dragon in Alien Force, but not entirely, because I prefer him like this and I would like to have my own take on his dragon form sort of speaking. Now let's start with the Hatchling Ben. Ben's marking are little and far in between, neither of them too textured. His tail end is inexistent while the antennas look like small horns because they will grow as Ben ages. The bones on his wings, mostly the ones on the inside, are thin and weak, allowing the skin on the surface to cover them entirely. They are prone to fractures and luxations until they get strong enough for flight and the body weight. The claws from the forelegs are small and fragile as well, soon to grow stronger as these baby dragons relly on their legs to move around, mainly the forelegs by dragging their body along until they learn to stay on all 4. (They can't stay on their backlegs due to the head being a little heavier than the tail, hence unbalancing the hatchling and making them fall back down) The little star mark on his chest is actually a little 'crack' in his scales that digs till the protective layer where the scales end. This is where Ben's mana is flowing, a mark of his alien powers. The black scorched earth-like parts around the 'crack' are formed from the mana. Mana here acts just like blood vessels with oxigen or CO2: They flow in the body and return to the 'heart', the mark on Ben's chest and then flows on the outside, where mana solidifies once they meet the scales and acts like lava, cooling down until these residual parts are left, which come off rather painlessly.

Grown Up Ben (maybe 18 years old but not a adult yet) has a developed body and markings. His body has adapted so he can sneak around at night. The markings on his back and wings are expanded, so when Ben sneaks in the dark, he can be pretty much undetected, if it weren't for his chest being like a lit fire in the dead of the night. The anodyte half is what Ben has to hide most of the time, as he keeps his wings around his lower body in order to hide the glow. Ben can easily remove the scorched parts usually with his claws by simply brushing them off, but sometimes they cool off and form bigger patches, which Ben has to use his claws and dig in, in order to remove them. At times is a painful procedure.

On the right is also Unstable Ben. This is a result of Ben being thrown off-planet, on Earth, where he had no one to guide and train him to master his powers. As he grew up, Ben's anodyte powers tied up with his emotions. Mostly, his anger. When he gets angry, angrier than he should, the mana starts to overflow. Without the slow process of mana cooling off and going back into the body, the mana only goes on the outside, and it gathers, quickly expanding the mark on Ben's chest all along his underbelly and neck, basically burning out his body. Due to Ben being only half anodyte, the power can't take over his senses to absorb it back in his body in order to become full anodyte, so the mana starts leaking everywhere in solidified form like flames or less solid, energy (like it does to his claws). The mana changes colors as it keeps to overflow, and eventually until Ben dies. The mana that's overflowing will burn out Ben's body and end into a explosion, as Ben runs out of mana on the inside, pretty much like a dying star, but with Ben's instability, it's instant death. A way to prevent this is mana intake and calming Ben down, which isn't easy, but fairies (mainly Yugi, because this is for my crossover au) can provide mana well enough for Ben to be able to live until he calms down. There's also one more part to his instability, it being that Ben's organs, mainly his heart start showing, the chest literally being a see-through bubble, making Ben vulnerable for a clean kill. This would eventually stop once Ben learns to control his powers better.

Chapter 3 is up! Fixed issues on Chapter 1 with the change of English names to Japanese names. Story followed the sub’s plot and uses dialoge from the sub of YGO.

[MMD]- Trident Of Boundless Gygarays

These two. I FLIPPIN DID IT GUYS. It's canon now! Or fanon at least. Yugi Muto and Alice Gehabich. Two Darkus (darkness) players, two deadly creatures. So I got a bit worn out from editing with trial and error a model..and decided "EFF that I'll do a tda base model and pull them together" and it took...literally 5 minutes because everything was just fitting on the model of now Alice. Still need to work on the physics and over variations of the model so until then credits are on hold (I only pulled the model together I didnt make the parts guys seriously now). SOOOO. Alice hold the ability card of Death Trident/Trident Of Doom and Yugi holds the Fusion Ability card of Gandora's Boundless Gygarays. Why is it a Fusion ability and not general ability since that's Gandora's effect in ygo? Because then the game would be over for Yugi. He can only use Gandora's effect once per turn (in the anime at least) and that is a bit unfair. Gandora here has general attacks dw. And they are LITERALLY A TEAM GUYS LOOK AT THEMMMMMMMMMMMM AAHHHHHHH. I need to find a way to export the hydranoid model out of the game....somehow.... ;-; I need them on the field and not just Yugi and Aliceeeee ;-; ANYWAY ENJOY

"Ikari gore art let's go" round 2! Well it's mostly Yugi turning in as Ikari fades out (The eye that's the sign. Also the fangs. Because would be way longer and sharper if Ikari was going to get out to fight obviously.

I worked on this...3 days? I was trying to distract myself from the pain by giving Yugi and Ikari painnnnn ;-; I'm torturing those boys to no limits I wonder if at least the artworks look good of them. So this is literally the figurative meaning of "go lick your wounds" because DUH Yugi and Ikari are wolves.

If you can't tell, he just came back from a wolf fight. Probably killed or wounded another pack hard enough, but ended up with wounds as well. The wounds transcend from the wolf to the human form so yeah. The grab wolves has on prey's or other wolves necks is now on Yugi's and you can see he was even pounced as he has those claw marks on his back.

And the song Redemption by Besomorph just portraits SO WELL both Yugi and Ikari, one part being the sane Yugi, the other (the refrain) being the killer machine Ikari, both addresing Yami. Even though Monster by Starset is still the 1st song for those two.

His wounds won't heal a lot, but he goes to a lake so with the moonlight, he'll at least heal a little faster than usual.

I really love how all this came out tbh. Oh btw on phone it's a little more darker than on pc, don't know what to do to fix that so big oof. Also this artwork makes me think of the other one with Yugi eating a chunk of meat. Heh.

[Fanfiction Fanart]- Shard

Ok so...This is for @floralflowerpower of her character Shard from the fanfic Little Lion King (Danny Phantom Phic). Technically this ISN'T fanfiction fanart BUT since the character IS in the story...yeah. (yes im dragonidpyrus shh this is literally a side blog only for art)

So... I had this idea for a while. The pose is inspired of one of the scenes from a anime called Bakugan Battle Brawlers where a character uses some kind of light magical bow so yeah! That's where the idea came from. And then combine that with Sera from YGO DSOD, you get: THIS. Now huge thanks to @anyaprioteasa for the help with adding dynamic to the pose and the bg leaf idea! She's not active on tumblr but thanks regardless. My initial pose which was on paper was a bit stiff and pretty straigh in the middle. And now for the art...so, first of go thank @thesoulspulse and Flora for the ref, otherwise I wouldn't have even draw this. Secondly, I realised Shard has socks AFTER I drew the frikin feet fingers. Never again. Never again. So this was in the works for what? A week or two? Super slow on it too. I just really like the character and design so yeah! Also she reminds me of Sera because of her hair. Speaking of Sera, the theme song for this art is Sera's theme from Duel Links. Even though the song is pretty Egyptian feeling like, I felt like it fits Shard too so I just listened to that while I made the drawing. I think this came out pretty ok, at least I managed to finish one artwork this time. Also the glow around her, I had to get rid of that because it just looked AWFUL :( I was too lazy to line this out again Anyway, hope you like it!
