OKAY BUT WHAT IF every time he died he got to choose which color he was and the REAL reason he was Grey and then White was because he liked those colors the least and saved them for last
You know how cats have 9 lives? What if it was that same thing but for Gandalf? Just every time he comes back he's a different color. We started off with grey, now it's white, next time it'll be black or brown or purple or something. So then he's basically immortal, because there's are several colors he could be, and each time he gets increasingly more powerful. Just think about it: Gandalf the Chartreuse

PLOT TWIST: Gandalf the White IS his most powerful so now i wanna see him at his weakest. Gandalf the Baby Pink, and he uses like the most dinky little twig to channel his magic

That is the saddest and most accurate thing ever. Like I literally got my degree in art and I don't want to do anything with it anymore.
I just wanna sit and do other stuff but I go to do other stuff and have no energy for it either and it's so sad
why do I never want to draw anymore, why do I literally never have the urge ever.

I was at work one time and my manager had found a sunglasses tag on the ground, which he then picked up, brought over to me, and said "not idly do the tags of sunglasses fall" and I had to stop for a minute and look at him like "did you really just make a lotr reference?" Everybody, meet my manager, the super nerd

Posted this on my Instagram forever ago, y'know, when I originally drew this back in '21 but I wanted to share this with you all because I'm still hecking proud of it even though it's a redraw of a movie poster I saw
I think altogether it took me like 6 hours to do, and most of that's because I absolutely hate drawing architecture with a burning passion, and this reminded me why.
This was such a powerful scene from the movie, and I loved Luke Evans' portrayal of Bard. He did so good, and I just love all of the Peter Jackson films so much aahhhhhHHHHH

alright so capri suns are so good. Like whoever thought putting fruit juice in a squeezable container with a straw that could poke someone's eye out and giving it to a bunch of tiny children fueled by rage and pokemon cards had it right.
Like,
I don't get it. And then even grown up, I am a full blown adult, have been LEGALLY an adult now for a few years and you know what I went wild, thought yeah I'm gonna treat myself today and full on bought me a box of capri suns when I was sick and wanted something simple for my simple minded, half a functioning brain cell, self, and then when I ran out of them because I drank them all because hECK YEAH THEY'RE FLIPPIN AMAZING and life is fantastic I went and bought me another box of them.
You know what's not fantastic?
The package was sealed so completely there was no possible chance of any little gremlins running by and snagging a single drink from it as they ran wild through the store. Whoever packaged that stuff knew what they were doing and made it stupid proof. And I applaud them, 5000%
EXCEPT
When I am sick and feeble and only have half a functioning brain cell, I can't open a stupid box of cardboard to get to my treasured fruit juice designed for children. I sat there on my bed, trying to find the power I need to open my juice box so I can astral plane out of my misery, for like a solid 20 minutes. That box probably could've lasted through a nuclear fallout, I s w e a r.
I almost called it quits right then and there and got some help from my roommates but my mama didn't raise no quitter and by gosh and by golly I opened that box if it was the last dang thing I did. Which it almost was by the end of it
So, yes, capri suns are actually the greatest children's drink to exist and prods my suppressed monkey brain into action, and the packaging company knows what they're doing
Which I appreciate
Even when I'm the stupid in "stupid proof"

Gosh I really really hecking love the music from all the middle earth things. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Rings of Power, the music is all just *chef's kiss* phenomenal. It's what I listen to when I need to focus on a project, or even when I need to feel calm.
I hate feeling peaceful and serene a good majority of the time, because for one, I don't have the time to focus and reflect, and for two, if I focus and reflect on myself I usually focus too much and over-analyze myself and end up hating myself quite a bit. It's not what I enjoy doing. At all.
But the music for Tolkien's works, idk what it is about it, but the composers perfectly captured the balance between the serenity and beauty of Middle Earth while also the valiant soldiers fighting for the good of the world, fighting against evil, and I can really get behind that. It makes me believe in myself, and know that if even the smallest, most insignificant (to the other races, at least) creatures matter and can have an impact on the world, then I can too. That I can live up to my greatest potential too and even if I'm merely the supporting role of tree #5 in someone else's story, then I can at least be the tree that helps crush the evil oppressing them as their enemies run from Helm's Deep.
It's so hard to put into words just how much I appreciate Tolkien and his works, as well as all the producers who brought those works to life and have become a major part of my life. All of those people who remind us that it is important to take the time to pause and just appreciate the small joys in the world around us. Especially in the chaos that surrounds us.
It's hard to explain, but I still try because it's been healing for me, and I want everyone else to be healed by it too, you know?

I feel like in a pandemic situation in Middle Earth, hobbits would either do really well with it, or really bad.
Like, on the one hand, hobbits store their food and extra supplies for stuff in their house and like to mind their own business, only going outside to tend a garden. These guys are prepared for just about everything, and i think they could do extremely well in a pandemic;
And on the other hand, hobbits are extremely social creatures, literally have a party for every excuse they can: birthdays, weddings, elections, for funsies. They would really struggle with not having any contact with other hobbits other than their families, although for some (like the Tooks who have generations of family all living in the same smial), it wouldn't be so bad. But to go along with that, it might be harder for those families with generations in their smials because it's easier for a virus to spread, even with everyone distancing and wearing masks, because it's still an enclosed space that is fairly tightly packed.
And I mean, look at the Fell Winter. Yeah, the main issue was that there were no crops and the river froze over to allow predators in the Shire, but it also didn't help that the hobbits were all trapped in their homes trying to survive and comfort each other despite knowing it was an extremely dangerous situation they were in. The loss of contact with other hobbits absolutely had a part in the issues of that dreadful winter.
So yeah, I feel like a pandemic could go either way. I'm mildly curious to see if there are any fics that include this au in it.

Pro-tip:
You can tell someone's personality by the way they eat a pizza lunchable
1. If they lay out all three crusts and make everything even, they like the plan things out, and are probably a smidge ocd
2. If they eat one crust at a time from the pile and use up all their sauce on the first two, not saving enough for the third, they probably aren't very patient and like to rush headlong into things
3. If they lay out all three crusts and start spreading the sauce around but then lose focus and make them uneven, they're probably 7 and got bored
4. If they stack the crusts like a sandwich with everything mushed inside, they're definitely a monster
