So I had a headcanon that Clockwerk only made himself immortal and kept a timeless rivalry against the Coopers was because of back when he was still mortal, he created the Invisibility technic that would later be copied/stolen by Slytukhamen. The Theivius Raccoonus being created solely as a middle finger to Clockwerk.

And this one technique could be why for so long he was able to appear from nowhere and hunt after the Coopers for centuries without warning.

Also, the idea of the Cooper Legacy possibly being pages upon pages of plagiarized techniques can maybe be a very cool plot idea. The Coopers literally stealing their legacy from other thieves.

I’m a decent ways through Sly 3, and although I hate to say it, Bentley is starting to become an unlikable asshole??

Up until the Black Baron reveal, everything was fine.  He was acting like the same old character that we all know and love, but with a bit more sass and self-confidence (which is a good thing!)

After that reveal, though, he’s honestly been acting kind of gross.  In the cutscene at the end of that episode, Penelope is flying the Cooper gang on one of her planes, and we see Bentley pouting.  Why is he upset?  He just met the girl he’s been talking to for a while now!  Not only that but she’s a smart, capable badass, and she’s literally flying you guys on a fucking airplane.  Is it because she’s not as “attractive” in person as she was in her profile picture? (I’m gonna assume that this is why he’s upset, which is really petty and gross)

Then once the team arrives at Panda King’s place, you see him acting really condescending towards Penelope.  When discussing how they’re going to get Sly up to where P.K. is at, Bentley was literally dumbing down his language, and talking to Penelope like she was too stupid to figure out what to do.  Then after that we see P. flirt with Sly (who’s somehow oblivious to what’s going on), and for some reason Bentley was getting really protective of her?  And I don’t mean that in a good way, I mean that in a jealous, possessive kind of way.  He started acting a bit rude to Sly over the whole ordeal, and almost came off as he was trying to “claim” Penelope as “his girl”.

I don’t know if I should chalk it up to bad writing, or if I should take this as, “Bentley is a sexist asshole”, although I feel like it’s the former.  We haven’t seen any of this kind of behavior from him before, and this is including his past interactions with Penelope herself.  It honestly just came out of the blue and feels really out of place for his character.  I just hope that the writers focus on this issue later on and have the two resolve their problems, otherwise this is looking to be a really gross couple that makes my favorite character from these games into my most hated.
