thanks for clarifying it i think i get what you’re saying now and i agree that calling it revolutionary might be giving it too much credit but i think even though that certain topics and themes aren’t that deeply discussed they can still hit hard for certain people just because it didn’t have an impact on you that doesn’t mean it didn’t have impact on others and this is not just me talking about this book but about reading in general in the end it is always very personal and subjective experience

thank you to whoever wrote this
#it’s almost 2AM and i’m tired#and my experience of the book is fresh and thus more emotional#i will think about it more critically in the morning#and then i’m happy to discuss it more if anybody cares#thank you for the reply and have a great rest of the day or night

i’ve just finished the book and it’s kinda sad and pathetic to call people stupid just because they enjoy something that you don’t and if you did not like something in the story and i did but you call me stupid than that kinda kills the potential of a discussion over our different understanding and interpretations

thank you to whoever wrote this

so i’m reading poppy war again because my friend is reading it and wants to discuss it with me and she’s saying that she will continue with the series right away but i haven’t read the rest of the series and i don’t own it and i have so many unread books on my shelves that i just can’t justify buying new books and i could go to the library but then i know that after reading it i’m gonna be upset because i don’t have it on my shelves because i like to own books that i like and i’m pretty sure i’m gonna like it

hi! i’m an exhausted uni student based in europe. i study area studies focused on europe and north america but the region i’m personally most interested in is east asia. i’m working on my bachelor's thesis and need motivation to study and do research and write. my topic is focused on us-china relations. i’m also learning spanish and italian. i like video games and reading books.
i’m looking for a study buddy to share my academic journey with or somebody to help me practice spanish or italian.
