In my language we talk about pain when it's going to rain.

"There's a storm comming, I can feel it in my joints." What we feel is the pressure changes. We can also feel a cold front.

In stories, they talk about someone having an injury that hurts whenever it rains. Is that actually a thing? Because I hurt my knee like ten years ago and now it hurts whenever there's an air pressure change, which doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to rain. Is it just that SOME old injuries hurt when it's raining, while OTHERS hurt based on changing air pressure?

I see it like a Hub, just connected by wifi rather than cables

Usually a Hub is a box with outlets where you can connect all your systems. Every computer/hardware that need to speak together, are connected through this. Which is why they lose connection to each other in the books when the HubSystem is down. The other systems can still function individually. Like the computer can function even when disconnected from the docking station, it just cannot use the screens.

Book friends, can someone please explain the feed and HubSystem to me? From what I can tell, HubSystem is literally like…a hub of information Murderbot can access? But is that only in the habitat or? And then the feed…is that just essentially security cameras?

(I wouldn't date anyone who drones on about how aromantics can date. They would likely bulldoze over all boundaries within a week. Not that I'm trying to date anymore, no matter how much I explain what aro means, they all have that weird "I can change them" mindset.)

I suggested for years that I took one afternoon in the local LGBT place and closed the bar and only served coffee and tea.

I was continously refused the space by the board.

Then a few years later an old butch who got on the board announced she'd start "Hygge Saturday Afternoon" with no bar and cake.

And of course it got very popular. Because plenty people like showing up in the afternoon and not having loud music and drunk people.

A few years later when both of us had stopped volunteering because it was constantly an uphill battle against old gay men who kept being reelected for the board and who didn't want any change and thought that all these new genders and sexualities were weird. The older boardmembers who refused us took the honor for Hygged Saturday Afternoon. All of my queers. Please come to the meetings and board elections, if you want things to change! Plenty of the volunteers do want different things in the local LGBT+ groups. But we cannot do it without backing.
