nine sols is very fun, but I'm 7 sol seals in and I still do not have a full grasp on the parry mechanic. I will have a full grasp on every possible attack a boss can do after like a death or two, and then it'll take me 5-10 more attempts to figure out the parry timing for each attack.

So I randomly decided that Touhou looks like a cool game series and that I should try playing some of the main games (my only Touhou game experience so far is Luna Nights and Hero of Ice Fairy, which are fun but not official games)

And after poking around, I gotta say, it feels like it should have a community that's kinda fine with piracy. Like, a lot of the early games just aren't available digitally and none of them seem to have an English translation. So, in my head, the conclusion is "oh well then surely piracy is popular with having rips of games that are in English"

But like. Apparently the main Touhou community will exile you if you dare pirate a Touhou game? So if you want to play Embodiment of Scarlet Devil you gotta order a disc from Japan through a proxy service and if you don't have a disc drive then get fucked(?).

of the Devil has me convinced that I'm horrible at deductive reasoning and I just never noticed bc I never really got into the two similar games I have: Ace Attorney and AI: The Somnium Files. Neither game really got me very interested in the story.

I love watching music reactions where people who don't usually listen to my type of music (which tends to be electronic music that's on the more chaotic side, think Camellia or Kobaryo) listen to it and they're just like "it's good but when would I listen to this??" and meanwhile I'm over here only able to focus on writing code when the most intense electronic music is playing in my headphones

Man. I've seen a lot on Tumblr that's just riffing on Tumblr users can't read or are bad with language as a whole but like.

There's nothing quite like scrolling a random post on r/CuratedTumblr, and seeing the comments, and then reading the post again, and going "how could you possibly have gotten that reading out of that statement?"

It's almost funny how much I'll see a screenshot of a post I agree with, scroll to the comments, and see people doing a very malicious reading of it and hating on something it feels like the original post wasn't even saying. Truly the experience of "no bitch das a whole new sentence"
