I needed to represent this moment because I think we don’t talk enough about how heartbreaking this night was for Lupin.
That night, the wounds of the war reopened. His world crumbled at his feet, and everything he believed to be true turned out to be a lie. For the first time in 12 years, he could see everything with clarity… and that clarity didn’t bring peace, only pain. He started thinking about how this would change his world entirely. He felt like *he* was the traitor—for not trusting his heart sooner.
For years, he lived with guilt, loss, and isolation, thinking he had already endured the worst. But learning the truth pulled the ground from under him. He didn’t just lose James, Lily, Peter and Sirius—he lost his trust in himself. And now, seeing it all clearly, he’s left with nothing but regret and the quiet ache of betrayal—toward his friends, and toward his own soul.
And this is all my heart and thoughts into this piece, love you 💗🫂 hope you like it ✨

A Story Worth Reading
Remus has always loved books.
The weight of them in his hands, the whisper of pages turning, the way ink dances across parchment like spells woven in silence. Words are safe. Stories are predictable. A sentence may surprise him, but it will never leave him. A plot may twist, but it will never betray him.
Then comes Sirius, and suddenly, Remus is reading a story with no ending, no roadmap—just wild, ink-smudged margins and breathless anticipation.
Sirius is a novel he was never prepared to read.
His laughter is the crackle of a well-loved spine, unfolding in ways Remus cannot control. His hands are smudged ink, careless and bold, pressing against Remus’ skin, leaving marks he will never scrub away. His voice is poetry without rhyme, a song that never settles, never softens, always rushing forward, always pulling Remus with him.
And Remus—God help him—Remus is turning the pages too fast.
He knows how stories like this end. He knows the cost of falling too deep, of loving too much. He is a boy who has built himself out of careful prose and cautious footnotes. He is a boy who underlines his favorite passages but never dares to live them.
But Sirius—Sirius makes him reckless.
"Moons," Sirius whispers one night, breath warm against his throat. The dormitory is quiet, the firelight flickering shadows onto the canopy of Remus’ bed. "What are you thinking about?"
Remus swallows. His fingers, tangled in Sirius’ hair, tighten just slightly. "Nothing."
Sirius huffs, shifting closer, pressing his body into the hollow spaces Remus never knew he had. "Liar. Tell me."
How can he? How can he explain that Sirius makes him feel everything at once? That loving him is like reading the most beautiful story only to realize the last page is missing. That he's terrified because, for the first time, he doesn't care how it ends—he just wants more.
Sirius presses a kiss to his collarbone, and Remus exhales.
"I was thinking," he murmurs, "that if you were a book, I’d never stop reading."
Sirius grins, lazy and bright, and Remus can feel it against his skin. "Good," he says, lips brushing over the pulse in Remus’ neck. "Because I was thinking—if you were a book, I’d dog-ear every single page."
Remus laughs, the sound catching somewhere between disbelief and something softer. Something like love.
And when Sirius kisses him, Remus decides—perhaps for the first time—that this is a story worth getting lost in.

Ao3 does not need an algorithm, you're just lazy
Ao3 does not need a 1-5 star rating system, you just want to bring down authors writing for FREE
Ao3 does not need automatic censorship, it is an archive, therefore anything can be posted
Writing or reading about something illegal does not mean the author nor the reader condones it, if that were true, you could never read a story involving anything negative
Purity culture is ruining fan culture and you all are fucking annoying

I feel like the marauders fandom is going through a regression or something. It’s like yall have circled all the way back from diversity to Jk Rolling rhetoric. And obviously it’s not all of the fandom but a large majority I’ve noticed is disputing other people’s opinions based on the sole reason that “in canon” or “in the 70s”- first of all there is no “in canon” we know two things about them. The whole reason this fandom even exists is by people going against canon. The whole fandom is based on delusion so it makes absolutely no sense to say “in canon”. If you want to believe that Sirius black wouldn’t paint his nails or wear overtly feminine clothing, go ahead! But you can’t get mad and say “well in canon he would bully someone like that” when someone does believe that. That’s such nonsense. Or pinpointing that on the 70s; Do you know nothing about queer culture? And obviously if someone is making a male character, Sirius being an example, overtly feminine and their partner overtly masculine in a fetishizing way, you can call them out on that. However it’s so unfair to people who simply have a hc to say that their opinion is wrong. When people say “they wouldn’t all be gay so your opinion is wrong” I’m just like you are literally using the rhetoric that Jk Rolling uses?! You know, the author that we collectively banded together to be against because of her harmful ideas?!! This entire fandom is built on going against the author because of the bullshit she spews, so to use her writing as justification for your own opinion is just moronic. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, let people like what they like and stop trying to make everyone conform to one idea.
#this!!!#i‘ve seen so much hate towards ppl bc of this lately#like wtf#harry potter#the marauders#stop reverting to jk rowling ideals pls thank uu
