About the situation

I looked up to techno for so many years, i had started watching his content in 2017 and never stopped, when I first found out about his cancer, I was in so much shock. I couldn't even think. Now, I don't know what to do. My childhood and Idol dead. I'll always have his videos, but for now I may just need a break. I've known too many people whom have died from cancer, and I'm really tired.

Please, hug your loved ones, spend time with everyone you know, cherish every moment. You will never be forgotten blood god. I'm glad to look out at the raining sky and see that you won. Fly high king -Wilbur

What a wonderful week it has been.. Not. Everything has been going wrong, stuff exploded, all your notes had accidentally been thrown away, you were constantly running into stuff being moved around. Yet you never got to complain. You were the Captain of the Invincible II, you could not let your crew down. When ADS went off and started shooting everyone, you were there and fixed it, despite being shot in the leg, you kept on going. Oh no, looks like Cyro is freezing everyone, off you go captain. 

Now you were tired, there were purple bags under your beautiful and/or handsome eyes. Your legs kept giving out, you didn't get any sleep for ages. You didnt really eat or anything a normal human should do. 

Mark

He found you passed out outside Cryo. My man was terrified.

Being the strong boy that he is, he brought you to the bedroom that was for emergency purposes

When you wake up, you can see him sitting next to your bed, bumping his leg up and down.

“Oh my gosh I’m so glad that you’re okay. Here have some water”

Then he hands you a croissant instead of water because he’s so distracted.

After talking to him about what has been happening the past week, he connects the dots in his tiny brain.

So that's why you were avoiding him, you were tired and sad

He gets it now.

Immediately patches up any wounds that you have, gets you to do it by yourself if its in a place you dont want him looking.

Cries and hugs you when he sees you because my boy is scared that you’ll pass out again

Follows you around because he wants to help you forever now

He knocks on your office to try and talk to you, only to find you in the corner looking done with life, and also fast asleep

Much like Mark, Mack has big boy strength, so picking you up is no problem.

Take you to the Captains quarters!!

Tucks you in and does a scan of your injuries, covers up the most serious ones

Tracks your breathing because he loves you so much (Why am i making him a yandere)

When you wake up, bombards you with questions

When he realises he’s overwhelming you, shuts himself up

Just another day in the ship, say where is his Captian, he wants to complain.

Notices a trail of blood leading up to your room

“Come on Mack! You’re being so slow!” The Captain of the Invincible II called out to their partner, who had no idea where they were. See the Invincible II had landed on their designated planet around one week ago and everyone was still doing research on it. The only people that had been down there in person were Gunther from ADS, Lola from search and rescue, and the Captain. They were the only people qualified to be by themselves down there, and this was Mack’s first time down on the planet he was to call home.

“Hey Cap, where are we going? Isn't Gunther currently exploring the planet already?” The brown haired male asked. Blindly following the most chaotic person he knew into an area he had never been before was not exactly ideal in his eyes, but since that person was his partner, he sort of let it slide.

“Okay Mack, we’re almost there, and then you can stop complaining about work.” The H/C captain told the man. Looking back in his eyes. Mack nodded and continued to walk with the leader for another five minutes before they reached their area. And Mack found it beautiful.

“Captain I- what is this place?” Mack asked, mouth wide open. There were beautiful trees, a lake filled with bird looking creatures. The grass looked amazing, there was food in baskets, the trees were filled with- wait food? He turned his head back and looked down. There was a picnic blanket, layed out with a bunch of food. 

“Captain, what the hell. I thought that we were out here doing work!” He exclaimed, gesturing to the neatly laid out picnic in front of him. The captain turned around and tried to speak up for themself.

“Mack, I just thought that since it's been ages since we’ve had a date, that we could have one on our new planet. And of course we can still do our work. We can observe this area! It's perfect!” The captain blurted out, doing jazz hands to show how serious they were. Mack sighed. Was it really worth putting up with his lover for this. He was promised work and this was what he was given! He eventually admitted defeat and sat down with the leader of the ship.

“Okay fine, but as long as we actually get some work done, alright? Now hand me that sandwich please.” He held out his hand for the food while scanning the area. Visible signs of life, none hostile for what he can see. Flourishing nature and plants as far as the eyes can see. It was a pretty decent planet that they had landed on.

“And that is why my favourite animal is.. Mack, are you listening?” The captain pushed. Knocking their head engineer out of his trance. He turned back to face them, feeling flustered.

“No-No cap I can assure you that I was. I was just a little zoned out, that's all.” The man lied. He had no idea what the Captain was just saying. In his defence, he just wanted to get on with work. Romantic dates could wait until the planet was fully explored. But according to the Captain, that was not the case.

“Mack, I understand that your work is important to you, but if we wait for every little thing on this planet to be inspected, then we’ll never get to hang out. And I kind of like hanging out with you dude. So if it's okay, can you just relax, For once?” The Captain of the colony asked. Putting Mack’s hand in theirs. Mack flinched a little bit, because we all know he isn't one for physical touch, but then he relaxed. Embracing the touch that his captain gave him.

“Alright Cap, I’ll sit here and have a date with you on this beautiful picnic rug with the most beautiful and/or handsome person in the galaxy.” The Captain smiled and handed him some crackers. Both of them blushing intensely. 

“Why thank you, my Big Mac” “I told you to stop calling me that.” “I’m not gonna.” The couple fought for a bit and chatted, With the Captain drinking all the F/D because of course they did. Mack was finally enjoying himself for once in his life, he was happy.

After a while, the sun eventually started to set, and the Captain was laying their head in his lap. Then one of them spoke up.

“So, Is this better than work or what?” The Captain asked, looking up at their partner. He giggled and petted their head. “Yeah, I guess it's pretty neat. Sorry I doubted you in the first place Cap.” The couple giggled, they knew that this planet would have a lot of fun places for dates in the future.

It was another day inside the invincible II. Everything looked and seemed normal, they were on course to get to their planet in about a month. Everyone was happy and there were no faults. It was all good inside the ship.

 Until something did go wrong. Somehow they had not seen a huge planet on their course and with Gunther being asleep, they could not avert away from it. So they crash landed onto a huge water planet! You were the first one to start scouting the planet, you had insisted. The crew heard you rambling about diving in to explore. When you got back from your two hour journey, you could not stop talking about it. It was your dream come true.

Mark

He was confused

The ship crashed into a water planet

And you were happy??

He knows how much you liked exploring but being excited about being off course did not seem like you at all.

He sat you down and listened to you ramble about your adventure

So you liked the ocean huh

I mean i guess the ship would take a while to get back on course

So he lets you explore, even going with you at one point

And nearly drowning

He’s proud of you, but doesn't really know why. (Because he’s a himbo thats why.)

Celci

She had heard about all your adventures in the ocean back on earth, so she was also sort of happy that you were happy.

She spoke with Mark and decided that that they now had one thing that they both agreed on

They liked seeing you happy.

She looked forward to you coming back from your trips and telling her about the cool animals you saw, and the scary things you faced.

She was so happy for you

Defo makes you hot chocolate after you come back from all your expeditions (If ur allergic, no ur not)

So yeah, she’s pretty cool with it, but after about a month she’ll start pushing for the ship to get back on track, assuring you that there was ocean at the place you were headed.

Gunther

Oh, a new planet, with new species you say? *loads up gun*

Yeah, he joins you in the ocean, granted he gets to shoot what he pleases.

It's a brand new place, of course he’s going to want to shoot some animals to bring back.

Protects you from anything scary in the ocean

“No i swear, It was a giant sea monster, that's why I shot it!.” He says talking about a tiny little fish.

He hates going back to the ship after his explorations with you, he wants to stay longer.

When the crew suggests that they get back on course, he tries to shoot them

Are they seriously trying to take away your bonding time?

So they make sure he’s asleep when they leave.

Cant have him shooting everyone can we?

In summary, he loves it because he gets to shoot things and bond with you

At first he is NOT a fan of the ocean

My poor guy just wants to get on course.

But after seeing how happy you were, he let it slide for a bit.

Definitely creates some ocean poetry for you, in case you ever want any.

Assists with making hot chocolate for you after you come back

Make sure you're warm the whole time you're there. Or he’ll be angry

The one who makes the crew get back on track (without telling you though, he  wouldn't want you to know)

Oh what's this, they’ve crash landed? But he thought that the engines were doing just fine!

He wants to win the approval of his captain, so he happily helps you with your mission to explore

In return he gets headpats, which he loves.

When its time to leave, he gets sad, he loves the attention he gets from his beloved Captain, why do they have to go.

On your last mission down there, he wants to go with you, and you let him, considering that Gunther wasn't going,

As you’re both exploring a new area, something grabs you by the foot and starts dragging you away from Mack.

He notices immediately and blasts his ray gun at it, forcing it to release you from its grasp. 

You swim back up to him and hug him, the start swimming out of the area. 

He was blushing like mad when that happened, and then joined you when his red face wasn't visible anymore.

So, he loved his adventures with you, and hopes to get more affection from you in the future. *Starts plotting to crash the ship into another planet*

Head Engineer! Mack

What, they crashed! How could this be!?

He thought that the ship was perfect, and now this!

He knew that it had to be the captain’s fault. I mean who else could be so stupid as to let this happen.

Yet after he sees you being so happy, he lays back off his thoughts.

He knows he ought to get the ship working again, but can't help but love seeing you happy.

He goes for a dive with you, leaving another member in charge, and is bewildered by how much you like it down there.

Just seeing you elegantly float around down there, admiring all the rocks and little fishies you find, he finds it incredible

After you teach him how to properly swim in the ocean, he goes down with you all the time, sure most of the time he hates it, but you are so happy when you’re there.

He puts of fixing the ship behind as he loves his adventures with you, but after a while he knows he has to do it.

Like with Gunther, you are put into the Cryo pod when they leave, he doesn't want you to be sad.

When you get to the designated planet, he still goes swimming with you, just like old times.

So he’s a supportive guy but its not his thing, He does it for you tho.

You woke up inside your cryo pod, ready to try and find Mark. What was this now? It must have been the 50th time that you’ve been inside that wormhole and you still couldn’t find Mark. The universe must be against them, they thought, before stepping outside of their pod. Everything seemed normal, no lights were flashing, no dashboards catching on fire, could this universe possibly be the one where you arrived safely at your planet? Turning around you could see the other pod opening.. Could it be Mark in there?

No, of course not. You just had to jinx it. Because when you looked at the opened cryo pod, it was Mack. Not Mark, the man you were desperately trying to find, but Mack. The man who took your role as Captain, then promptly blamed you for every kind against humanity, before killing you as an example. What a jerk.

“Great, you again.” You spat through gritted teeth, watching the man rub his eyes and ground himself. Before you could say anything else to the man, he spoke up. 

“Oh hey Captain, rough sleep? You usually wake me up after you leave the pod, what happened? He asked, leaning on the wall. You looked him in the eyes, trying to figure out if he was being sarcastic or just didn’t remember anything. 

“Captain, I know I’m dazzling but why are you staring at me? Is there something on my face?” He asked, brushing off his face to try and get whatever it was off. You broke your stare and talked to him like a normal human.

“No, It's not that.” You hesitated for a bit before going on. “Do you remember what happened, like, you being a dictator and everything?” You asked the brown haired man. Who knows, he could. Judging by the confused look on his face after you said that.. He apparently didn't.

“C-Captain, what are you talking about?” He chuckled. “Why would I be a dictator.. out of all the people you could choose from. That's ridiculous, you must have had a nightmare.” He walked over to you, putting his hand on your shoulder. Now you were convinced it was a different Mack. The Mack you knew and hated would never let you as much as touch him, this man was different.

“Let's get you some coffee aye Cap? You’re not yourself when you’re tired.” He remarked, letting go of your shoulder and walking towards the door, waiting for you to join him. You eventually did, opening the door and walking down the hall. You noticed how Mack greeted people, then something even stranger happened. 

“Hey Celci, how’s ADS looking?” Asked, doing finger guns towards Celci, whom, to your knowledge, was in fact not in charge of ADS. 

“Looking great Mr Head Engineer, They’ve been shooting every asteroid that comes by the ship.” Celci reported, giving Mack a big thumbs up and walking off. “Morning Captain.” She sang while walking past you. You turned to look back at her, noticing that she wasn't wearing her big coat as usual, instead she was wearing clothes similar to Gunthers. Speaking of the Devil, he appeared in the hallway, holding a screwdriver where his gun should be.

“Hey Mack, do you know where my tools are? There is a screw loose in the control panel and I need to fix it before the star goes boom, you can never be too careful.” The bald man inquired , walking beside the two figures. You were perplexed. “Gunther, where is your gun belt?” You asked, pointing towards his waist, only to be met with other various tools that could be used for repairing items.

“What are you talking ‘bout Cap, you know I’m all about peace and poetry?” The usually gunned man spoke. Looking back at Mack as he started to talk.

“Mark did say he was going to do some cleaning since the Engines were being perfect, maybe he took your tools? I think he’s just walked into Cryo.” Mack recalled, pointing towards the door in front of you all. 

“Wait Mark, as in Mark Inspace?” You asked, looking at Mack with a plea in your eyes. If he was here that meant you could stop him from going back. And since you guys were on the ship, he would totally know what you mean. This was the perfect plan.

“Uhh yeah, we don’t have any other Marks on this ship, why’d you ask?” “Outta my way Mack!” You yelled, running through the corridor. This was it. Your one chance to save the universe. Who knows how long it will be before you could see him again. You hurriedly opened the door to Cryo, running past Burt on the way, who was wearing a winter jacket. He must have taken Celci’s position, you thought to yourself, before stepping into the room. Seeing the one and only.. Mark.

“Mark!” You yelled, running up to the man carrying cleaning supplies. “Jeez Captain what's going on?” He asked, looking at your out of breath form, clearly trying to find a way to explain what was happening. 

“Listen to me very carefully, you cannot go back! I’m begging you. You cannot go through that wormhole, do you understand?” You grabbed his shoulders, pleading to him. You saw the look of fear on his face. 

“What- Captain I… W- you make no sense. What have you d̶̡̫͚͋o̶͍̬͋͂͝n̶̝͝ȩ̸̼̱̓?̷͉̮̈ (done?)” The brown haired man whispered, looking at you. Watching his face now start to glitch. Tears started to form in your eyes as you ran out of the room and into the corridor, where everyone was crying, wanting the pain to stop. You cried and ran back to Cryo, but it was no longer there, everything was covered in glitches. You turned around but the door was now gone. It was just you, alone, in the darkness. You grabbed your hand, begging the crystal to take you away. It obliged and swallowed you up, taking you down a one way hole, straight to wilford. Who looked at your crying figure and ran up to you. Patting you on the back and embracing you in a hug.

You didn't deserve this.

What If Mark and The Captain Swapped Roles

I’m a sucker for Angst, so what if the Reader was the head engineer and Mark was The Captain. WARNING: ISWM Spoilers ahead.

Word Count: 1k

Mark had woken up in the cryo-pod, again. Its confirmed, he was in hell. Everything he did, no matter how hard he tried he just couldn’t end the loop. And then there was you. You had been so eager to meet him, although you didn’t talk much he could tell that you had dreamt of meeting him. But now he only feels guilt when he thought of you. You too had also been put through hell, He could only imagine what it may have been like for you.

Just then he was shot out of the Cyro-pod and onto the floor, standing up and watching you get shot out of your pod, like he had a million times.Looking at  you get up he questioned if you remembered what you two had just been through. He held out his hand, you reached forward grabbed it and held on just as the window shattered from the force, some of the glass shards cutting your leg. As the safety barrier closed you asked the same old question. 

“Uhm- What's happening?” You asked, panic dripping from your voice. It was clear you didn’t remember what you had just been through. Mark sighed and grabbed the fire extinguisher, holding it in place ready to shoot the fire that was yet to come. Yet it didn’t, it never came. 02 never went off, everything was acting as usual. It was strange, Mark looked at you. You looked at him before holding out your hand, It was glitching, it wasn’t long before your whole body started to glitch out. Giving you a feeling of immense pain and Mark a feeling of terror.

Looking around you both could tell that the room was glitching out as well. You tried to call for him but you couldn’t, it wasn’t working. You weren’t in control of this universe.

Closing your eyes you found yourself in a dark room, but not just any room, the control room. You were standing in the exact same position you were in. Everything was dark, the only light available coming from the cryo pods… THE CRYO PODS. You rushed towards Marks, sure enough he was there. Fast asleep. You tried to open it but without your tools you couldn't do anything. You were stuck, you sat down and tried to figure out where you were on the control panel yet they were all turned off, and nothing you could do would turn them back on.

You were stuck

And would be for a long time.

Mark was tired of going through wormholes over and over again, he just wanted to find his Head Engineer so he could stop them from building that damn warp core. After finding the author and writing that he would find his engineer he was shoved back through the wormhole and placed in a dark corridor. Walking to the control room he was met with the smell of burning candles, paper being placed literally everywhere, and a figure in the corner of the room, muttering to themself. As he got closer the figure turned around. It was you. Sure you had grown out your hair and your clothes were all dirty but it was still you, his favourite crewmember. As you turned around you started talking louder.

“Captain, no, no that can't be, you’re in your pod, you have been for years. You can't be here, this is just an illusion.” You rambled, looking frantically at Mark’s cryo pod where he had been resting for god knows how long. He.. wasn't there. Mark stepped forward. “It's me Y/N, it's ok, I'm here now.” He said, holding out his arms for a hug. Stepping closer trying to figure out if this was a trick or not you noticed something on Mark’s left hand. It was a crystal.. The same one that caused this mess. Looking up at him you started frantically yelling, trying to find an explanation for all of this.

“I’ve been stuck here for YEARS, why didn’t you come save me Mark? I’m so tired I just- YOU DID THIS- I’m so sorry. Why weren't you here, I've been through SO MUCH. THAT CRYSTAL PUT ME HERE! I can't even remember the last time I've slept- how are you doing? WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED YOU?!” You screamed. Gathering up all your strength for that last sentence, you started to burst into tears. Mark didn’t blame you, after all you probably haven't had human interaction for a while, it was okay. He stepped forward and embraced you.

You were crying into his chest when the crystal started to glow again, he couldn’t do anything about it, he just needed to find you and prevent you from creating the thing that started this whole mess. He patted your hair once again before disappearing in a flash of blue light. Meanwhile you just dropped to your knees and started sobbing. 

Perhaps next time he would come back for you

But heaven forbid he lets you go.
