Song: Rises the Moon

The final day brings a more relaxed piece-- a Mismagius. Mismagius was my first favorite ghost type from the Diamond/Pearl era, but I was never able to get one since I played Diamond. I had one traded to me back then, but wasn't able to nickname it, so that was a bust. Even as future titles went on, I was never really able to get a Misdreavus for my story team to turn into a Mismagius. Brilliant Diamond finally gave me that chance though when a friend traded me an egg, so that was awesome!

Mismagius may not be the most talked about Pokemon out there, but still means a lot personally. As one of my all time favorites, I had to make something relaxing to wrap up this month of favorite characters from different games, even if a lot came from the same series.

Song: Vs Shadow Lugia

To capture the rampaging apex of a heinous project is one thing... to save a corrupted god is another. The second to last day of Favril brings a childhood icon of mine; Shadow Lugia, or Project XD001.

Gale of Darkness was my very first Pokemon game of all time, and even when I was but a small bean, I knew this was a creature in need of rescuing. I go wayyyy back with this game for sure, especially with how I lost my original copy at one point but got a new one quite a number of years ago and got to see some of my old Pokemon. It was insane for sure, and last month, I managed to transfer everyone all the way from the GameCube to the Switch. An absolutely mindblowing experience, I didn't think it would be possible, but here we are.

Real talk, I need a port/remaster of the Orre region. Orre's schtick with the Shadow Pokemon will forever be the most iconic to me. I'd love it if others could experience my first steps into Pokemon as a whole with it!

Song: Milky Way Wishes (extended)

Final 3 posts for the challenge, almost there...!

Day 28 brings a nostalgic face around-- mostly for me, at least. Marx, the chaotic jester who originally debuted in Kirby Super Star, rolls on in!

Marx has gotta be one of my earliest favorite characters that comes to mind, much like Rosalina and Shadow the Hedgehog. With my first game being Kirby Super Star Ultra, I had a LOT of memories with that game. What enchanted me the most as a kid playing that game though has gotta be Milky Way Wishes as a whole. Even if Marx betrays you and has a rather horrifying soul form in the true arena... I don't know, he's still a favorite of mine. Goes way back to the childhood era for sure. I was very very happy to see that he's a playable character in Kirby Star Allies too!

Hmm, maybe I will boost up KSSU again and hope it still works, would be nice to relive some memories~

Song: Primordial Malzeno Full Theme (cover)

One heck of a doozy this one was to make, lemme tell ya, but SO WORTH IT FOR THE ONE AND ONLY PRIMORDIAL MALZENOOOO!

It's funny, I got bad motion sickness from playing MHRise and had to take a long break to improve my health a bit before getting back on. Sure, when I saw the DLC, I found it neat with regular Malzeno. I literally only got the Sunbreak expansion because of Amatsu-- but with my friends saying that I was going to absolutely love the endgame monster for the Elgado outpost plot... they were 100% right, holy crud!!

Let's just say I am extremely impressed with how they managed to mix motifs of strength versus power together to make a terrifyingly strong dragon, one that is actually nicer than you'd think!

This one is definitely going on my 'must draw more of' list because phew, it's fun to draw stuff from the Monster Hunter series, and helps me build up more skill since complicated designs aren't quite my strong point...

Day 26 brings a special theater- run by the maestros of positivity and negativity alike: Balan and Lance!

I knew I was going to love this game when I saw the trailer all those years ago. Despite the sad behind-the-scenes tragedy it had and the unfinished product, the lore is not something to sneeze at. Without going into too much of an essay, let me just say that I REALLY love this game and how deep it can go when analyzed-- it's seriously right up my alley!

Final five pics for the month! Kicking it off with one of the Feisty Five members from Undertale Yellow- the leader, SHERIFF NORTH STAR!

I remember when I played UTYellow a while ago, I saw fanart of him for maybe a split second and went 'huh, would be funny if that one became a favorite of mine' and uh... yep! FAST FAVORITE! I will not say why due to spoilers as per usual, but he's just great-

In other words please watch/play Undertale Yellow it's an amazing fangame that I swear I know is fanon but feels canon with how perfectly it was crafted! Thank you UTYellow team, you made me remember of the glory days of playing the original Undertale game back in 2015~

Song: Le Souvenir avec le crepuscle

Day 24 brings the very star of Fontaine in the world of Teyvat, FURINA!

Without any spoilers, all I'm going to say is... dang. I went from not liking her outward personality in the plot's first act to instantly coming close to tears in the third one. She deserves a long vacation, and I didn't realize how much she grew on me, let alone overtake the favorite archon spot over Venti- and that says something in my book. Besides, I love her design a whole bunch! Her Ousia design is my favorite between the two!

Wanted to make a simple and funny pic on her being caught eating dessert- also why was the hardest thing to draw the freaking food??

Song: Scarlet Forest

One fluffy boy waltzes through for day 23! Say hi to Ralsei from Deltarune!

It's funny how quickly I got attached to him when I finally picked up Deltarune after putting it off for so long. And, hilariously enough, a mere few days after I beat chapter 1, chapter 2 got announced! What are the odds eh? I will say though, out of all the places between the first and second chapters, I still love Scarlet Forest- the colors and theme are very nice!

Song: Rosalina in the Observatory 3

High up in the cosmos is the absolutely legendary Princess Rosalina!

Another super early favorite of mine from my childhood, Super Mario Galaxy is a game that means a lot to me. Left this pic on the simpler side, if anything, but it's just nice to draw her in general. I know it made me personally thrilled to see her show up in other games, and the music always takes me back to the days where getting Power Stars to restore the Comet Observatory was of the utmost priority-

Oh and I drew the co-op Luma from Mario Galaxy 2 as per a friend's request while sketching this just because lol

Day 21 features a pair of favorite fire types of mine: Charcadet and Scorbunny!

Just two little babies! I knew the second I saw Scorbunny wayyy back when Sword/Shield was announced, that buddy was gonna be my starter. And Charcadet? The second I found one, I knew it was destiny!

Sword/Shield was the game where I started to stay blind for Pokemon news leading up to a game's release- I found that to be a very fun experience because everything is a delightful surprise!

20 days into April... welp! Time flies when you're drawing as much as you can after work eh? Today brings the god of winds, Amatsu, from the Monster Hunter series!

I remember when I first fought this big ol' wind sock of a dragon... ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE OMG!! The music really struck a chord with me back in MHGens/GU, and if there's one thing I do miss in Rise, it's a little sound Amatsu makes as an audio queue for attacks. But either way, I LOVE THIS DRAGON A TON OMG!! And in MHRise??? I literally bought the DLC so fast just for Amatsu and they made this guy a true storm god, INCREDIBLE AAAH!

10000/10 would hunt multiple times just for fun again.

Song: Beneath the Mask

Day 19 is all about your perception, because we have the iconic Akira Kurusu! Or- Ren Amamiya, whatever name you use for him.

Persona 5 goes wayyyy back, I'm still happy to this day for a friend of mine for introducing me to the game, let alone the Persona series as a whole. P5 in particular absolutely blew me away with the bonds, music, style- yeah too many things to list. I can tell you right now though that Persona 5 absolutely deserves each bit of praise it gets- dang, am I getting nostalgic writing this description? I think so!

Cactus! Legit! Little fella for day 18 named Sabo!

Despite how this cute little spiky buddy turns into a really epic dragon of sorts as a final evo (with a goal to be a hero everyone looks up to)... aww I just can't really ever evolve mine! I love Sabo so much, super cute and makes the most adorable little sounds! And the hops? SOLD! I always take this little fella with me the moment I get my hands on one, no doubts about it.

Song: The Realm Within

You may have guessed it already, but it's the man, the myth, the legend: Xiao! The Golden Winged King, General Alatus-- he goes by a few names, but Xiao's the name he typically uses anyways.

To the very first five star, to the very first limited run character I got to C6... to the strongest character I have built who is a true hypercarry to my entire journey-- you'll always have a special spot in my book. Your story definitely got me back in the day, and the Chasm almost broke me with what happened. Your improvement every time you appear is amazing, and you'll forever be my ultimate favorite from Genshin Impact.

Happy birthday to the last Yaksha of Liyue, may today bring you peace and good food.

Song: Gore Magala Theme Video: Gore Magala Intro

Day 16! 8 days late for the eclipse I guess, but THE DRAGON ECLIPSE IS HERE! We got Gore Magala today, who became a quick favorite of mine back in the day. I was sold pretty quickly on the armor set that Palicoes get, and I adore how this monster can make everything darker and has pretty colors! Funny how this is just the baby stage, not even the adult.

Also dang, the destruction the Frenzy virus can cause... any 4U hunters here? If ya know with Wystones, ya know.

Day 15 brings a redraw of a veryyyy old piece, I can't remember exactly when I drew this one last. 2021? 2022? Maybe 2021, hard to say. A mix of my fav from Undertale and favorite location :D listening to Waterfall on loop while making this brought over more nostalgia than I anticipated.

Day 14 brings Antasma from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team! His design is absolutely perfect for me- come on, a nightmare ghost with a vampire motif? SOLD! But what made me sad was a lack of lore for him- I may or may not have made my own history for him but anyways he's really cool to me!
