#SPNFamily Fundraisers

Since the Supernatural finale aired, fans have been creating campaigns to raise money in honor of their favorite characters. So far, so much good has come out of it! We have raised over $60K for multiple organizations. I thought I would share all of the current ones I know of.

The Castiel Project, created by prfoundbond, supports The Trevor Project. They focus in suicide prevention among LGBTQ+ youth. The original goal was $1500. So far, it has raised over $47,700.

Dean Winchester Is Love, created by wearedeancas, supports NAMI. They focus on building better lives for those who are affected by mental illness. The original goal was $1500. So far, it has raised over $10,700!

The Sam Winchester Project, my fundraiser (witchchester), supports Together We Rise. They assist foster youth. This campaign helps displaced college students w/grocery, utility, & housing resources. The original goal was $250. So far, it has raised over $2200!

The Jack Kline Project, created by dearkmnj + CROWLEYBEANS, supports Random Acts. They focus on making the world a better place with one random act of kindness at a time. The current goal is $1500. So far, it has raised over $1000!

The Miracle Project, created by adoreyouackles, supports ASPCA. They focus on preventing animal cruelty throughout the United States. The current goal is $1000. So far, it has raised over $90!

Gabriel’s Gift, created by zepptapes, supports Action Against Hunger. They focus on giving everyone access to clean water, food, training, and healthcare. The current goal is $2000. So far, it has raised over $50!

The Charlie Bradbury Project, created by ClearlyNoLabel, supports Girls Who Code. They focus on supporting + increasing the number of women in computer science. The current goal is $1500. It just opened a few hours ago!

In honor of Eileen, many are also donating to the National Association of the Deaf. They focus on promoting the rights of deaf people in the United States.

This really is so amazing! I’m so happy that our family took a not-so-great finale and turned it into something positive. Cheers!

Real props to Jared’s performance in this whole scene. Sold the shit out of being a trauma victim having to confront the person who tortured and violated him, and just how uncomfortable he was with the forced interaction.

Honestly, I still remember this day like it was yesterday.

This was my second and last op with Jared Padalecki for the day. As always, when I walked up to him (thanks to the IMALIVE volunteer, of course), he was all smiles. It was kind of hard to tell him that I didn’t want my face in the picture. I have a couple of ops where my face is showing with him, but all of them bother me.

Luckily, Jared just agreed, and pulled me into another hug. Honestly, I don’t remember the picture being taken. I know he knew how anxious I was, and he didn’t let go before gently rubbing my back with his nails.

I went to move out of the way, but I was surprised when Jared stopped me. He put one of his hands on my cheeks, and said something along the lines of “I hope it’s just for the picture, because you have a beautiful, radiant face.” It had to be one of the kindest and loving things anyone has ever said to me. There was so much I wanted to say, but I couldn’t speak. The man I look up, the man I aspire to be, went out of his way to make me feel better.

Again, I figured I’d be walking away, but he stopped me again. Jared looked me right in the eyes, and told me he loved me. I had never said I love you to him, I always figured it would just be weird for him to hear, so it caught me off guard. He in no way had to add that in, yet he took the time to.

Jared pulled me into another hug, and honestly, I was just stunned by the whole thing. Had he really said all of that stuff to me? Was it possible that people could actually see me the way he apparently did?

When I finally walked away (of course, it wasn’t until after he touched my chin - something he did at the previous con I went to), I felt so… loved. It didn’t matter that he probably wouldn’t remember me. That interaction gave me hope for the future. That might seem insane to you (perhaps it is), but for me… I don’t know, it was everything.

The way Sam looked at Dean when they were arrested and put in the back of that truck……… It’s was like he was looking for guidance, reassurance, anything from his big brother. Dean seems to always have a plan. But Dean says nothing….

I barely use my Tumblr (I prefer Twitter - @jarpadrpincess), but I honestly couldn’t be happier with my op so... I’d like to share it here.

BurCon was my second con, and it was incredible. I was shaking a lot and half panicking, so the IMALIVE person had to come over. She spoke to me and made me breathe before I walked up. Jared was all smiley and I asked him for a hug. I had to explain I didn't want my face in the shot, and he and said "you don't want your..." before giving me a look. Eheheh. Then he told me to show him what I wanted. So I hugged his neck and he tightly wrapped his arms around me, and after the picture was taken he lifted me up a bit and moved me around before letting go. He was so smiley!!! After, I managed to tell him how proud I was for his recent interview and AKF. He said "thanks baby girl" and smiled again, and moved his finger over my chin before I walked away. He then smiled again and told me he loved the hoodie !! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm so glad I finally got to give him a hug.

I can’t wait to see him at MinnCon 2017 <3 I have his auto, and I may ask him to write ‘AKF’ so I can get it tattooed :)
