Hi! Question: Is there an AO3 collection for the current bingo round that we can add our works to? I can't seem to find one, and the general/parent collection only has submissions from last year so far, so I'm not sure if that's the one to use.
Apologies for not getting back quickly, it’s been a busy holiday season! There was not a collection because I fully forgot, but there is one now. You can add you fics to the collection here: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/Spideypool_Bingo_Round_3
Thank you for catching the oversight! I hope you’re doing well with your card!

Sweater Weather

by pencilguin
It’s truly a shitty, shitty day. Which is why Peter finds himself gravitating, instinctively, towards his closet, and in there towards a very specific piece of clothing on the middle shelf. Behind a less than neatly-stacked pile of sweatshirts, a small, light gray bundle peeks out. Peter doesn’t even need to see it to know that it’s there. He reaches for it and pulls it out.
For Spideypool Bingo 2021, square: Grief

Spideypool Bingo Round 3 FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
When and How Can I Share My Card?
You may share your card as soon as you receive it on whichever social media platform you choose.
Please wait to share any creations you make from your card until the Posting Period has opened (either July 1 or January 1, depending on which round of Bingo you are participating in).
Can I cross off items on my bingo card as I complete them once posting begins?
Yes, absolutely! In fact, I encourage you to! That’s an excellent visual way to keep track of where you are in completing bingo, and it’s super satisfying every time you complete a project and get to cross a square off!
What counts towards completing a square?
A piece of fiction that is 300 words or more and is complete.
A completed sketch, painting, watercolor, etc.
A Mood Board, aesthetic collage, manip, or other image editing that fits the prompt and represents at least an hour’s work.
Music playlist with a header (can be as simple or elaborate as you wish) and at least 10 songs. Can be shared through Spotify or other music streaming service as long as it is shareable through tumblr or twitter.
Themed fic rec list with a header (can be as simple or elaborate as you wish) and annotations. Annotations should include commentary on how you approached creating the list and a note on each story recced, explaining why you’ve included it. Each rec list should have at least 8 stories linked and should include a summary and a listed author with a link to their AO3 profile or other social media (if the work has not been orphaned or posted anonymously) for each listed rec.
Podfic of a story no shorter then 900 words
Photograph(s) of Funko pops or other toy representations of Spider-Man, Deadpool, and associates acting out a scene that represents a square (Ex: Knitpool, Avengergram).
FanVids: Cosplay or Stop-Motion Animation Videos, Clip Music Videos, AMVs, Animatics, Fake Trailers, etc. Videos should have a run time of at least 2 minutes and be shareable on the blog.
I’m in multiple Bingos. Can I make something for both events at once?
As long as the thing you are creating for your Spideypool Bingo follows the rules of this fest and only counts as ONE square on your Spideypool Card, it is acceptable to have that same thing count as a different square on a Kink Bingo or Fluff Bingo, or whatever other Bingo you’re in. Make sure to check the rules of the other event(s), though. Not all Bingos allow event crossovers.
If you are using your creation for multiple Bingo events, please make sure to make it clear which square of the Spideypool Bingo card you are filling separately from any other Bingo event. Please also do not include the other Bingo’s information on your submitted post for the Spideypool Bingo blog (meaning if you are posting card updates with your submission, do not include the other card(s) in the post you submit to be promoted on the Spideypool Bingo blog. I don’t mind promoting other events on this blog, but that could easily get confusing for anyone following the blog).
Can I collab with someone else?
Yes and No.
Yes: An artist and a writer have corresponding prompts on their bingo card that they would like to work on together, ie. Crying into Ice Cream. Writer writes a fic involving Crying into Ice Cream, Artist draws a piece of art to coincide with that story. The artist may post their piece with a link to the story, and the writer may embed the piece of art into their story, as long as each person creates something individually that represents their own bingo square, this collab is within the rules.
No: Two artists or two writers create one piece together that they each count towards their own bingo card square.
No: Two people share One bingo card.
This isn’t a competition—and never will be as long as I am running it—but sometimes people get competitive all on their own, and I don’t want any hurt feelings if someone starts thinking that a collab team has an unfair advantage over individual creators in completing bingo faster. It might sound silly to you, but I have seen people become genuinely upset because of this scenario in the past, and I do not want anyone participating in this bingo to feel the same way.
What happens if I never get a bingo?
Absolutely nothing! This is not a competition. You do not have to complete bingo in order to proceed to the next round. If you get a bingo card and never complete a square, you will still be able to participate in the next round, no questions asked, no judgements made. I'm not keeping score of how anyone participates, nor do I want to.
Can I create podfics of other people’s works as long as I have permission from the writer(s)?
Yes, but you need to have proof of the writer(s) permission. As someone who has had their works plagiarized and posted without their permission, I take consent in sharing other people's work very seriously. Make sure you ask and get an enthusiastic consent prior to recording, please.
I don’t understand what ______ is…
Please google the prompt before you ask me what it means. 90% of the prompts people have asked me about have been easily google-able. I don’t mind helping you understand what a prompt means if it's confusing after you've looked it up, but please take that step first.
Changes to your card should be about what makes you uncomfortable, not what you don’t think you can fill Right Now. You have six months to work through your card. A prompt might not spark anything for you now, but come August or October? BAM! Genius idea you would have never thought about if you switched that prompt now. Bingos are just as much about challenging yourself creatively to work outside your normal box as they are about getting you making. Punch your way out of that box, y’all. It’s what Wade would want you to do.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to either send an Ask, dm the blog or me personally on discord via MsCaptainWinchester#3164 or email me at [email protected]. Thank you!

Spideypool Bingo Round 3 Rules
PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE SIGNING UP, if only to save me from having to answer questions that have already been answered here.
The challenge is open to Writers, Artists, Playlist or Mood/Aesthetic Board Creators
Each round lasts Six Months
A unique Bingo Card will be issued within one week of sign-up. If you do not receive a card within 1 week of signing up for a round, please contact the mod(s) via email at [email protected].
Three types of Bingo Cards will be available: SFW, NSFW, or Mixed
Minors cannot request NSFW prompts, nor will explicit stories written by minors be shared on the blog. I'm not going to stop you from creating explicit content for your card if that's what you want to do, but for legal reasons, the blog cannot promote it.
Each participant may request changes to their card, but only once per person per round before that round has begun, so make sure to include all square changes at once.
Peter Parker/Wade Wilson should be the main pairing for all works (Obviously! What are you doing here if you don’t want to ship the boys??)
Complete squares in whichever order you wish!
Minimum Word Count: 300, No Maximum
All pieces should:
Be complete
Represent a single square on your Bingo Card
Able to be read/viewed as a stand alone piece
What counts as BINGO:
5 squares straight across vertically or horizontally in any row
5 squares diagonally in either direction.
No 4 corners
No combining squares
Each piece should stand alone, but pieces can be linked together into a series if desired
No Pay Walls Please—side hustles might be important, but this event is supposed to be for fun. Please keep all pieces freely available to everyone for the duration of the event.
If you Black Out your card before the round is over, you may request a second card.
Free Space can be whatever you want it to be.
Read the Rules? Good job! The safe word is: Aunt May
There should be some indication of which square the piece is filling wherever the art or story is posted, be it in the notes field (on AO3) or post description/tags (tumblr, twitter, pillowfort, instagram, deviantart, etc).
To be promoted on the blog, you will have to either tag @spideypoolbingo OR submit a post to the Spideypool Bingo blog
Questions? Concerns? Want to yell at me? Send an Ask to the blog or send me an email at [email protected]

SPIDEYPOOL BINGO UPDATE

Obviously, there was no sign-ups for Spideypool Bingo in June, like I said there would be. I apologize for those who were looking forward to them. To say my personal life went to chaotic shit is a gross understatement of circumstances. I'm not planning to talk about it, but suffice it to say I had very good (non-Covid!) reasons for mostly disappearing from the internet for several months. But no worries! I've decided to use this interruption as an opportunity to change things up! I am going to be moving the event schedule so that it no longer straddles major holidays and the busiest times of the year. What does that mean?
Signs-up for the third round of Spideypool Bingo will begin on September 15, 2021!
I will post a more detailed schedule in the next week, so keep an eye out for that! If you have any questions or suggestions for the event in the meantime, feel free to contact me via tumblr, discord (MsCaptainWinchester#3164), or by email at [email protected].
Thanks, y'all!

ATTENTION SPIDEYPOOL PEEPS
As the time to re-open the Spideypool Bingo sign-ups approaches, I am starting to realize I might not have the time to fully devote to the Bingo right now, and want to see what the interest level is for doing it.
Please fill out this short, one-question survey to help me determine whether to do another round right now or go on hiatus and see where the fandom is in June.

Thank you!
