Haiku 3 of 3: Brain Storm I wasn't gonna post this today. But my mood fitted the bill. I'm not feeling particularly great. In fact, I feel quite depressed this evening. I feel tired, I feel stressed and I feel emotionally vulnerable. But I know it's okay to be like this. Doesn't mean it's not difficult but it's a bummer when it happens. I've spent a lot of time trying to make thing normal. Which is what a lot of people are trying to do and that talk about men's #MentalHealth. This is what Im trying to do more of through poetry. This is why I want to become a psychologist. To understand more of what goes on inside our brains, what can I do to help prevent myself and some I care about, or even someone you know getting to a point there is no coming back from. Unfortunately, its a reoccurring thing. So this Haiku is to represent kind of what it's like and what having depression is like. That no matter how sunny it is, inside is the greatest battle you will ever fight. Remember that you aren't and there are so many things you can do to help yourself and others. Concept Chronicles 5: Heart Beat One of my favourite, well written, best delivered, metaphorical, fun and eye opening songs at the time. In the Oct/Nov 2012, me and @naylor_25 recorded Heart beat and was one the many experiences I had. During the times after we done KiiD Supa/K.w.D we tried our own thing and it went pretty well to be fair. Matt got in touch with a producer and he gave us a beat and from there we got writing. We spent quite a while developing the lyrics and it took the most takes we had ever done. But we got it done. Matt was even did all the animation and designs for us on a laptop that barely ran in a shared room with his brother and barely any room to sit and do stuff 😅. This was the first full 16 i had ever committed to memory. Even now I'm so proud of it ❤️ I wish I could remember more details from back then. But after this track, is what lead us on to other collabs and got me wanting to chase a career out of it. 8 Damn years ago! 8 years since I recorded my first E. P: Let Me Live A Little, as Concept 😅. What a name I was. Back in 2012. My old producer had a studio not to far from where I live now. He lived there with his son and girlfriend at the time. Really crowded place in a shared house. A lot of the time I spent there was watching other people record and me trying to fumble together my lyrics. I never did well with other people watching. At a point Fraser wanted to produce something that might make both of us some money. To his credit he never really charged me anything for the E.P, but he was really controlling of what I was doing. Telling me how to rap, what I should write and what I should say. When a lot of the people I was listening to at the time were just doing it for the fun. And that's what I wanted to do, be happy and have fun. And in fairness I did have fun. I did get to record some of the songs I wanted. Such as the title song: Let Me Live A Little Featuring Witness (Kris Naylor) and Bethany Luther. One day I will release the full thing. Until then I just wanted to post this out. As I was looking for something to write for the Chronicles. Okay, okay, here me out: a fake dating fic where the monster of the week is only going after married couples, right? But instead of just pretending to be married, they actually... go get married. Like Dean just goes "well I guess this is the only way to lure this sucker out" and they grab a couple of fake IDs (since Dean is legally dead and Cas was never actually born) and they go elope. For the case.

Sam is off with Eileen at this point (either on a date or a hunt of their own idk) so he's not there to point out how glaringly unnecessary the whole thing is. He just gets back to the bunker to find the marriage license on the kitchen table, and just about has a heart attack. Like, he's known that Dean and Cas were into each other for a long time now, but he hadn't had a clue that they were dating! And now they're married?! And Sam wasn't even invited???

What???!

He's so shocked and annoyed that he doesn't even know what to say. He just tracks down Dean and slams the papers down in front of him with a "What the hell, Dean?!" Then he has to stand there and listen as Dean explains the whole thing, and Sam can't quite figure out if his brother is lying to him, or if he's just that much of an idiot.

Turns out it's the latter.

And the thing is, Dean and Cas both just act like it's no big deal. Like marrying each other is a completely sane choice to make. They don't get awkward about it, or act in any way like they regret it. If anything, they only get more idiotic and flirty. Like Dean just will not stop bringing it up in conversation. He's constantly making jokes, and calling Cas his husband. It's ridiculous.

Sam tries to bring it up to him once. About how maybe Dean and Cas were both using this case as an excuse to indulge in something that they didn't think they were actually allowed to have under normal circumstances. But he hedges around it a bit, trying to make the blow a little less sharp. And that fails miserably when Dean purposefully decides that Sam is talking about marriage in general, instead of specifically saying that Dean wants to be in a committed relationship with Cas. Dean goes into a big rant about how they were never gonna get that whole 'settling down with 2.5 kids' apple pie life. And then ends it with making a joke about how, hey, he got to marry his best friend though, at least. "That's the dream, right?" And then walks off before Sam can respond or start tearing his own hair out.

And then when the case is over, Dean and Cas are just like... why bother getting a divorce? What's the point in that? It's just a lot of hassle and money for no reason, right?

So they just... stay married. And by this point, Sam is banging his head against a wall.

Game Over Lyrics. So I when I started this page, I really wanted to include a lot of content. When I researched what I should be doing. It always said about doing only 2 things. But for me thats boring. So I'm gonna do a 3 pieces rotation. So the page looks a little organised and clean. So this time, it's going to Lyrics From The Lounge. ❗After All❗ Took me a long time to find peace. A lot of over emotional drunk nights, hangovers, regrets, advice, bollockings, complaining, mistakes and well... Counselling. I said to myself when I started this page and writing content, that I'd not post myself on the main feed, unless I felt the need. Well... This time felt like one of those times. 1) I wanted to show my writing space, that I haven't really made use of. 2) I wanted to show my face. 3) As I write this I feel the need to woffle on and say a bit more 😅. Right now I'm between working as a T. A in a special needs school. To which people who know me or work with me or have experienced that sector, know its draining. I'm trying to finish my Diploma in Psychology to go on to work as a councilor. I'm trying to stay up-to-date with posting and writing, looking at how to beat the algorithms, how to make a success of something I love. I'm putting together my work for my first anthology. I'm putting together podcasts, get the necessities to record properly and make music and other audio projects. Chase the previously mentioned Psychology dream and also be an author and content creator. The stress of being self employed and doing everything right. I know it's all step by step. And I'm doing it all step by step, boundary by boundary.
