I made a Hollow Knight OC back in like August(?), I have like three of them now and this is the only one I've expanded on.

I may or may not have been taking liberties with how SOUL and Void work.

I did a thing while on call with a friend. I thought it was funny plus it gave me more motivation to try drawing V1 again (this time I used references :D).

True, V1 could have a possible SOUL reserve (IIrc the only enemies in Hollow Knight that don’t give Soul are true Void entities like the Siblings and Collector, or if the target has thick armour like the False Knight/Failed Champion.)

It’s also possible that V1 could heal through parrying (either the nail strikes or Vengeful Spirit/Shade Soul) without getting Void poisoned. But the Knight can canonically bait and dodge parries (As seen in the Hornet 2 and Pure Vessel fights) so that might not be the best idea. Then again, V1’s parry works more like Ghost’s does than either of the examples listed.

In relation to my last drawing.

I think the Knight would win, but I’m curious about other people’s opinions on the matter.

The Poll is about Gabriel rather than V1 but since you’ve brought them up.

I like to imagine that V1 wouldn’t even bother with Ghost (without being provoked) because they don’t have blood for it to absorb.

But in an actual combat situation, the healing thing sort of evens out if you consider Ghost won’t be able to get any SOUL from V1 either (granted absorbing Void even by accident would still fuck V1 up). V1 does have a decent advantage in range+mobility+versatility that means it could potentially stay out of the Knight’s range and pick them off from afar.

In the end it might be environment that determines who wins here.

I have to draw a lot of gold and metal for my work, but wasn't happy with any of the metal tutorials i could find around. I prefer really specific instruction, so after some research i put together what i think works as a generalist's guide/tutorial. Not perfectly accurate, but i hope it's helpful!

Spider Sisyphus. That is all.

The poll results said to make him something from Deepnest so he's a spider now. You guys get both Prime Soul and alive variations, as a treat. (And V1 getting absolutely obliterated)

For AU lore things, he's probably also dead, his corpse somewhere in Deepnest for V1 to find. Not sure if Gabriel killed him this time around or if something else did.
