As they run into each other around town, and Sam visits his family’s diner often, giving in to Blake is a dream come true. For Blake, Sam has always been the firecracker little sister of his best friend, Dylan, and off-limits. But now? She’s all grown up, stubborn as ever, and impossibly sexy, and she’s the only person who made him feel relaxed and open in a long while. With Sam’s days in Titusville numbered and the “bro code” looming over them, can they have a happily ever after in Dragonfly by Stacy Goforth? With small-town shenanigans, a tight-knit, albeit meddling family, spiteful exes, and a tender and warming love declaration at the end, I can picture Dragonfly by Stacy Goforth as a Hallmark movie. It’s like Goforth knew how engrossing her book was, so there will be other books featuring the whole clan. Yay! The side characters are supportive, humorous, and have believable development. My favorites have to be Jax, Sam’s perceptive and wry eldest brother, and the sassy, unfiltered Kelley, Blake’s younger sister. Dragonfly isn’t all fluff and flirtations; it explores how different families react to grief, the sacrifices made for family, and with just the right amount of romantic tension to keep pages turning well past bedtime. Dragonfly is for lovers of heart and heat, and anyone who has never really gotten over their crush.
