Hi! I was wondering if you know of any really amazing Stiles brings Derek back fics! Movie fix it fics? Thanks so much for your time!
Not a big fan of the movie but here are the ones I know.
Give him back by christinchen | 21.4K | Explicit
Eli feels lost and has seemingly so where to turn. Until a stranger knocks on his car window and demands to know how he got his car!
here is the repeated image of the lover destroyed by elisela | 7.4K
Stiles doesn’t go home right away.
The urge is there—when he answers the phone to Lydia’s shaking voice, when he gets the text from his dad, when he stares out at the sun glowing soft peach and golden over the buildings in D.C. and he thinks about Derek never seeing another sunrise. It’s there weeks later when he gets a check from the Estate of Derek Hale, when he crumples it up and throws it in the trash, when he fishes it out an hour later and tries to salvage it by weighing it down with a book from the Hale vault.
It’s there, it’s there, it’s there.
Stiles doesn’t listen to it.
Because Stiles isn’t going back to Beacon Hills to say goodbye.
Best Laid Plans, Etc. Etc. by Stoney | 5.3K
FBI Agent Stiles Stilinski gets a run down in the aftermath of the resurrection and return of the Nogitsune and promptly comes up with a much better plan, DEREK. This is why people shouldn't make plans without him, because they never work.

Teen Wolf and Lack of Character Development - Scott McCall
Incoming Rant: Re-watching the first season of TW I have realised why I never felt that Scott was The Hero of the story even if the writers did not stop hammering the idea that he was pure and perfect and always right. He never sacrifices himself. This is a classic of fiction, the hero will always be the one who makes the greatest sacrifices for the common good and for those they love, renouncing happiness, normality and even their own life.
But Scott never does that. Even in the first season this is very clear. The first few episodes emphasise that playing lacrosse and dating Allison are things he wants, but are dangerous to himself and those around him. The narratively logical thing would be that, after a period of selfish refusal, he would realise that the right thing to do is to give up what he loves until he has better control of himself and his new powers, sacrificing his temporary happiness for the good of others.
Instead, the narrative rewards Scott with control gained through Deux Ex Machina and not hard work, he gets to date Allison and becomes a Lacrosse star without sacrifices and therefore doesn't grow or evolve at all. This keeps up for all 6 seasons. Meanwhile, everyone else around him is constantly sacrificing their safety, sanity and even life for the common good.  And ten years later in the movie nothing has changed. Scott’s still not the one performing the sacrifice, he's still not the hero yet. He gives nothing, but the narrative rewards him with true love. Meanwhile Derek gives his own life to save those he loves he is The Hero.
So. Yes. To all of this.
I have made a countless number of posts about Scott’s development. Specifically, his lack of development. The writers had every opportunity to make him a decent character -- and Posey could have performed it and done everything at least moderately well -- but instead, they caved into Jeff Davis’ whims.
There were other writers in the room who should have held Jeff accountable and written Scott as a proper hero: a hero who sacrifices his own selfish wants for the greater good.
They do not have the right to tell us not to like characters such as Stiles or Derek more because they were the ones who wrote those characters using the hero’s journey narrative that they very easily could have written for Scott...but they didn’t. When the creator of Teen Wolf speaks up against those fans, he has no one to blame but himself and the other writers, and to say anything to the contrary just makes him look like a hypocrite.
You cannot expect your audience to believe your main character is a hero when you do not give them faults to overcome and make them a better person.
They wrote Scott as never taking consequences for his own actions -- instead, they had everyone else suffer the consequences of his actions and had them clean up his mess and deal with the repercussions. (not going into detail here because I have already done so on many other posts)
But when you show characters such as Stiles and Derek dealing with complex emotional and physical traumas and then doing things to try and improve themselves, while also dealing with their own mistakes and growing from them...but then don’t hold your main character to the same standard, how can you be surprised when no one relates to them? The accountability for Scott’s lack of accountability can be traced right back to the writers’ room.
I genuinely could have liked Scott. In fact, when he was being sweet and helping his mom, I loved him! He had the potential to be a fantastic main character...but the writer’s neglected their responsibility as writers.
To put it simply: the writers suck.
The only reason the show lasted was because they had good cinematography, and they brought on some experienced older actors into the cast, and they had two natural talents on screen: Dylan O’Brien and Tyler Hoechlin.
That’s it.

🛠️ Sands of Time (Turn Backwards) by @brouill3r | brouiller [NR, 22K, WIP] 1987 Hawkins Fuller is full of regrets for the life he's lived, though Tim once told him he regrets nothing. Hawk so wishes he could say the same.
In the still night air of a hotel room, clutching a cracked paperweight to his chest like it's carved of the finest gold, Hawk gets his wish.
Or, a time-travel fix-it fic that nobody asked for.
🛠️ this time imperfect by @startagainbuttercup | startagainbuttercup [T, 13K, WIP]
1986. Marcus arrives at Hawk's house and gives him a box. Marcus doesn't know that paperweight in the box is a time traveling device. Will Hawk change anything, given the chance? We'll see.
🛠️ Let Me Shower You With My Love by @beyondxmeasure | Cyantific [G, 580]
Hawk helps Tim in the shower.
A 1986 canon divergent fix-it.
🛠️ Don't fade away from me by jiuselvtizidaren [NR, 3K] A continued canon timeline where the show ended, trying to make it up, though late. Warning: Tim still passed away.
🛠️ The Fixer by drabbleswabbles [NR, 3K] Instead of Leonard, Hawk is the one arrested in a park bathroom.
🛠️ I Belong to You by @beyondxmeasure | Cyantific [E, 2K] This isn’t even close to how he saw their night ending, but here they are, and if Tim wants it rough, who is Hawk to deny him?
Or, the ‘Hit me.’ scene… but a little different. In which Hawk still hits Tim, just not where you think.

An interesting observation maybe but do you think fix-it aus are underrated in Eruri fandom? Or Attack on Titan fandom in general? My SW and Demon Slayer ships have all one dead member and I swear it's really common to see fix-it fics where the dead character lives/survives and it made me think of Eruri. I guess we as a fandom very depressed because it's all just angst and in most fics Erwin dies either way and if he doesn't, Levi does asdfgdSDFGdsfg Do you know have any good fix-it fics :D Do you think Eruri happy ending is very underrated?
That’s a really interesting question.  I mean there are plenty of fix it fics in the Eruri fandom, but it’s true that there perhaps aren’t as many as you might expect, given the untimely death of such a beloved character.  I think part of the problem is that allowing Erwin to live doesn’t actually fix anything, in fact it arguably makes it worse.  The whole point of Levi’s choice was that he allowed Erwin to die with his dreams intact, rather than dragging him back to the hell of the world where people saw him as nothing more than a monster.   In order to really fix canonverse, you have to find a way for Erwin to survive, without becoming the “devil himself” and being crippled by overwhelming guilt, and you also have to prevent the Rumbling, eradicate the Titans, end the persecution of the Eldian people, and resolve the centuries old conflict between Paradis and Marley.  That’s quite a tall order! This is one of the reasons that a lot of Erwin Lives fics tend to be more than a little angsty.
In terms of fic recs, before Midnight Sun, there were quite a lot of “after the war” fics written, where the Titans are vanquished and Erwin and Levi learn to live on with each other after the conflict. After Midnight Sun, Titan!Erwin fics became popular, the majority of which are either gut wrenchingly sad, ridiculously horny, or more often than not, a combination of both. There are a few fics where Levi actually does break Erwin's legs which, unsurprisingly, are pretty devastating (No Regrets by supasafeboss & King Under Ground by WhisperDan.) More recently there have been some great fics where Erwin survives and does his utmost to resolve the conflict through political means or other means. Here's a list of some of my favourite Erwin Lives fics:
peony-dense flesh by ackermom
In These Fallen Leaves by @masksarehot2
Mal by @elivra-fanfiction & @zorthania
Warm by @elivra-fanfiction & @zorthania
Relinquish, Reclaim by @huxandthehound
Tiny Beautiful Things by The_Wolves
What Remains by @haedraulics
The Flap of a Butterfly’s Wings by @drbuttonsss
Stranger by NoMoreTears707
A Long Way From Home by @2dsheep
 Coup de Grace by @cherryamber
And to answer your final question, do I think Eruri happy endings are underrated? In canonverse, certainly. Here's a few fics & ficlets that give them the happy ending they deserved.
Beach Grass by @ackbang
Cabin by @ackbang
Every Second by @lostcauses-noregrets
Sleeping on a Clothesline by @lostcauses-noregrets
Love Like This by @thefangirlingdead

Okay, but we need to talk about something. Across the Spiderverse says that “changing a canon event erases the entire world”….so, does that mean fanfic writers ( specifically fix-it fics) have destroyed their favorite worlds?

tell me your thoughts on fixit fics
So I've written and re-written my answer to this twice now, which is hilarious just so you know.
TL;DR I love fix it fics!
Give me all the juicy details version:
I love certain types of fix it.
I love fix it tropes and Moments, things that the fandom agrees on as jumping off points. I like watching every possible version of the story veer off course once those moments have passed and seeing how fandom as a group picked them! I'm talking things like Palpatine 100% choking on that bagel, Anakin was too sleep deprived to become a sith lord, Catra leaves at Thaymore, Adora doesn't find the sword, etc. Love that shit! (Yes, these are heavily shared with our good friend canon divergence fics, but fix it fics are just a type of canon divergence. Square rectangle sort of thing)
I've found that the fandom changes how much I enjoy fix it fics as well. In star wars I love them, and in SPOP I find them meh most of the time and I think that's because SW has a different general type of fix it compared to SPOP.
I also really do care how much it sticks to canon afterwards. I want to see a unique story one the divergence hits, and I like fix it fics where we fix the main problem (hooyay!) and then it turns out it causes Many Other Problems (I retract my hooray!) but we solve those too and are closer than ever (I reinstate my hooray!). Or I want just tooth rotting fix it. Nothing else thank you! To me if it doesn't go a little off the rails of canon then you haven't actually written a fix it, you just wrote canon divergence and tagged it wrong.
I prefer fix it's that are more about finding your family/home over romance or anything else. I will always prefer someone becoming more comfortable in their own skin and making better/healthier choices because of it over blind chance in a fix it.
Also, I know that not all fix it's are a love letter (some are just a telegram saying FUCK YOU Strongly Worded Letter to Follow!). I prefer love letters, whether to canon, a character, an idea, or a setting. I really prefer stories where you can see how much the writer loved and how they loved so strongly that they wanted to make something softer.
So I do love fix it fics, desperately and deeply! But it's a pretty big sandbox once you get here and depending on where you go really changes my thoughts.
