Elio's One Eye

Elio having one eye for the majority of the film represents how Elio can only see one side of the story. For example, he felt that Olga didn't want him and felt like he was a burden to her. However, we learned that wasn't the case. She's also grieving the loss of her brother and sister-in-law and Elio is the last thing she had left. However, when he saw that grief, he finally understood that he's not as alone as he thought. When that patch was gone, he finally saw both sides of a situation and learned to do better at the end of the film.

The Symbolism of the Carapace

After watching the movie Elio, I couldn't help to see how the carapace had a heavy symbol in the film. The outer portion of the carapace was what you'd expected to see. The inside...Yikes!!😨 No wonder Glordon didn't want to wear it! There were spikes inside so it would practically hurt him, every time he moved! When Glordon's father popped out, he was covered in welts! It represented how while we keep pain out, we still kept hurting ourselves by the end of the day.

Me after trying to avoid leaks and hear that we might get a trailer or clip for Hazbin Hotel season 2 in July:

I saw the card for Vox and Valentino and I guess it's now confirmed that they are a cannon couple. It'll be interesting to see what they do in season 2 going forward. I think it'll be a little similar to Stolitz where it can be problematic at times, but somehow enduring in some moments.

Why It Works: N x Uzi

So, I watched Murder Drones and I already adore Nuzi (NxUzi). They just seem to be one of the healthiest relationships you'd see so far in the cartoon. With only 8 episodes!!

Uzi is unapologetic and brave, unlike her brainless, cowardly society! She speaks her mind and takes action. Even tries to own up to her mistakes (That takes real courage). Despite her hard exterior, she struggles in finding peers that respect her and value her opinions. N helps with the emotional baggage of her life and helps her when she was starting to turn into a monster.

If there's a dog breed that would best describe N, it'd be a golden retriever! N is super friendly with everyone despite the fact that he could tear apart everyone in the room without batting an eye. He does have a tendency to be naive half of the time, so Uzi helps him think things through. Thankfully, these interactions help him handle dangerous situations better as well as come to the terms of his own trauma.

The Virtues of the Smiling Dead

Mel- Diligence, Checks her info before she makes a plan.

Ken- Charity/love, He protects Mel with his life.

Mud- Diligence, focuses on the mission

Breadhead- Humility and Modesty, the guy is just so chill and could careless about what job it is.

The Truth about the Prophecy

The tricky things about prophecies is that they can only predict a certain future if something isn't done. In Gaslight District, where there's always lying and deception going on, I have a feeling there's more to the prophecy than what it seems. Sometimes endings can create new beginnings. I think Mel could have that power to create a new destiny for the Rotlings that could help change the term "Life Eternal." What that is could be found in her blood.

Ken's Secret Past

In Gaslight District, Ken the Butcher was somehow able to get ahold of Mel when she was young and the only one to know that she's human. Also, he has a grudge against The Virtues. Temperance being the biggest source of his anger! 😱 So, there are two things that make that could explain it.

1.He was once a Virtue himself, but he got sick of the corruption of the organization and left with Mel to save her from a cruel life. Considering how Temperance talked to him, it does seem possible they know each other through that.

2. He was some kind of experiment that fought back and it was kept a secret because they (The Virtues) didn't want any Rotling to find out and happen upon Mel by accident.

Any thoughts on this scene? I can't help if these two are going to interact more in the future.

Can Unicorns Sense Evil in People?

While Death of a Unicorn is not as iconic as Nightmare on Elm Street or Cujo, it was a nice change of pace from the usual werewolves and zombies. However, there was one thing in my mind ever since the ending. I wonder if unicorns can sense the evil in people. The rich patriarch was almost ready to touch the horn when the male stabbed him with it in a massive fake out. This shows that these guys are smart as well as dangerous. They know that guy is bad (something that was made obvious in the film). Then, they revived Ridley's dad despite that he wasn't a virtuous maiden. That could mean that while they know Ridley's dad is a fool, he cared about his daughter and went back to her when she was in trouble.

I can't believe they've finished recording season 3 of Hazbin Hotel! Now the animation process has begun! Let's hope that this season doesn't get leaked too!
