The greater New York tri-state area got a whole lot safer yesterday.  Captured late last night, Cletus Kasady, escaped serial killer and notorious redhead, was eerily calm and subdued when he eagerly surrendered to the FBI. The manhunt for the FBI’s Most Wanted felon ended innocuously in a small strip mall outside of New Rochelle, New York.

A barista at a local coffee shop recognized Kasady and eventually called the police.  The barista apologized to reporters later admitting she didn’t immediately alert authorities hoping Spider-Man would beat them to the scene.  “What can I say?  I am a HUGE fan.”

Kasady had been sentenced to twelve life sentences for the twelve murders he committed — but escaped while being transported between federal prisons. Sources say Kasady has been remanded to Ravencroft Institute for further interrogation until he is relocated to a maximum security federal prison. While the barista didn’t get her wish, we know Spider-Man thanks her… as we all do. For now it appears that Kasady won’t be causing any more carnage.

Worst thing about losing your phone

Imagine this scenario -

You head out with a friend to a bar. You have some drinks at the bar and later on decide to check for phone. You realise your phone is missing. You check everywhere for your phone; the bathrooms, the bar, the tables you’ve sat on. Nothing. As a last resort you ask your friend to call your phone to see if you can hear it ringing. They do so.

The phone is answered and you hear a giggle down the phone, it is then immediately hung-up. You try calling again and again but the phone is never answered.

You forget about it. Down to a lost cause, you just submit to the idea of picking up a new phone tomorrow sometime.

You stay out with your friend for a couple more hours and then decide it’s time to go home.

You get into your home, maybe grab a glass of water, go to your bedroom and then relax in bed. Tilting your head to the side you see your phone on your bedside table.

My view on @indykaila

Indy, the big, bad wolf. I mean he deserves all the hate he gets doesn't he?

Occasionally people will threaten Indy and so they should, he's an awful person. I mean, it's despicable what he writes on Twitter, atrocious stuff.

How dare he Tweets what he does, you know, football rumours and news.

I think some of us like to forget what Indy tweets about.

That was sarcasm above, by the way, just incase that wasn't blatant enough.

Right, we'll begin with the big one.

Indy is a liar. A lot of keyboard warriors people sitting at their computers are firm believers that Indy is indeed a liar.

Okay. I should admit now that I know the founder of @indykaila on a near-personal level. I'm a weekly guest on his radio show.

I'm not sure these people understand how negotiations work. negotiations for players call fall apart literally at the last minute. For Liverpool fans, like myself, take Konoplyanka as an example.

Look, I'm not here to say 'you're all wrong for not believing what Indy writes', but the fact is that Indy is just passing on information that he has received.

I don't mean to insult anyone but there are plenty of people on Twitter that claim to be somewhat "in the know." We believe some of them as they tend to be correct half of the time. Indy is exactly the same.

Let's take Moley (https://twitter.com/Moley_LFCDT) for example. Another person who I speak to on a regular basis. He passes on what he hears and tells people to take it with a grain of salt.

Why do we just trust one person and not another? Both Moley and Indy are faceless on Twitter. There is no proof that either of them have the information they tell us. They both could be plucking ideas from the air.

I am a firm believer though that both of them know something more than just educated guesses.

Moley often comes clean when he supplies information on Twitter that doesn't come to fruition, he apologises and reminds people that things fall apart. That's why we, Liverpool fans, have him in ours good books, right?

That's fair I guess...

Who is to say Indy doesn't know people who can supply information?

Okay then, let's imagine the scenario we all want to believe; Indy is a liar and makes everything up.

Not my opinion but I know many reading this will hold this view very close to their hearts.

Honestly, what harm is he doing? If you don't like what he posts then just unfollow him, if you really don't like what he posts then block him.

I think I'm beginning to ramble and go slightly wide of the point now.

Put simply, Indy is a nice guy. He's helping me out a lot by giving me experience on his radio show, I'm not the only person, I should add, there are a few people like myself who he offers radio experience to.

All he is doing is tweeting guys. There are much more people on Twitter who genuinely deserve hate. If you don't like, don't follow.

Just remember, Indy (and others like Indy) are real people, they have feelings. Imagine you posting a tweet and receiving the abuse they get. Yes, you need to have a thick skin in the media industry but, my God, some of the volatile things said to Indy disgust me.

Luckily, it doesn't bother Indy as much as all of those posting it would like.

Just a little note - I only mentioned Moley as an example. A lot of people, including myself, trust him. In no way was it my intention to offend Moley.

What is Tumblr? - Twitter Native

A couple years ago I was quite enthusiastic about making an account on Twitter. A lot of people we’re doing it, but not people I knew in person.

At the time I was accustomed to Facebook and using social media was a way of communicating with friends when no physically with them.

Being the maverick I am *coughs* I got a Twitter account. Not the one I currently sport but still. I couldn’t quite get into the swing of Tweeting (ha! - like that’s changed). It felt like a chore; something I had to tell myself to do. Not like nowadays.

Anyway, a couple years later I seem to have a handle on Twitter (see what I did there? boo-to-the-yah) which I currently thoroughly enjoy.

Right now, this is happening to me again. I’ve always been aware of Tumblr, so much so I tried to make an account around the same time as Twitter.

Now though, I like the concept. Tumblr seems a place for EVERYTHING. Literally everything ranging from my favourite YouTube content, hilariously cynical blogs and even stuff such as Creepypastas, which on the occasion can be quite fun.

Sort of StumbleUpon with a personality if you will. At least, that’s the impression I get.

Basically, I’m very new to Tumblr. I’d like to get the ball rolling. I’m a Twitter native, it’s all I know - I barely post to Facebook anymore and I would appreciate any tips launched toward me.

Before I sign off, I’ll tell you a bit about myself: I’m a journalism student from Liverpool. I’ve written for countless sports websites, offering my expertise and opinion. Every weekend I appear on Kohinoor Radio’s “Drive Time Show”, yes, the Scouse one. More recently, I’ve joined Click Liverpool in the form of an intern reporter.

I also enjoy a good laugh, YouTube often the source of that. Big fan of Dan Hardcastle, Jim Sterling, Stuart Ashen, John (TotalBiscuit), Martyn Littlewood etc.

Time will tell if I enjoy a good Tumbl too.
